You guys are so organized. How do you keep up with what's coming out when? I always just randomly stumble upon new releases in series I'm reading
Stalking....LOL! Really, some books I just can't wait to get, so periodically check for them when I have a couple of minutes. I also use Fictfact to know what's coming up (especially easy to check in series I'm "caught up with"). Also, peeping at the R&R threads here (everybody has a favorite author~or 2, 3,10~ and puts up info whenever they get it), and so on...
gin wrote: "You guys are so organized. How do you keep up with what's coming out when? I always just randomly stumble upon new releases in series I'm reading"I've friended a LOT of author's on facebook, it's a great way to keep up to date with what's going on!
At the moment, the only pre-orders I have for 2012 are:
and
Also, for upcoming releases I like fictfact.com
gin wrote: "LOL. I need stalker 101"LOL! Now that's what we can do while waiting for Bingo shelves...start the new stalking curriculum!
Stalker 101: Hunting Down New Releases
Stalker 102: Stalking as a Tool for Effective Cross-challenging
and so on...
http://www.fictfact.com/bookreleaseca...Fictfact is a website that can be used to track all your series. It's pretty time consuming to input all the data, but it would be worth it in the end.
r you can just use the release calendar, February's is the link above.
Gin, there's also a bunch about it over on the How do you keep track of your series? thread, plus links to follow some SOS friends if you're interested!I just love it...I can find the same stuff here, but it's so visually easy to see where I'm at in my series, and on the ones I'm caught up on, it's soooo easy to see when the newest book will be coming out. LOVE IT!
Another pre-order shipped...HOORAY!
is on its way to me now (and it's early...and I have NO TIME to read right now...sob!)
I keep pre-ordering it and cancelling - the price is holding me back! Alyssa, did you order the ebook or the hardcover?
Hardcover. I think it was like 41% off from B&N.com when I ordered it. That discount could just be because I have a membership though. Not sure.
No preorders from March, but I've been bad so far in April
The Lost Night
Alexander Outland: Space Pirate
Yep...just realized, I've also ordered 1/3 of your list...and am prowling the library for a couple of others. At least we're now a few seconds closer....

A few more. hehehe. Maybe it won't be too bad if I spread them out. But in my defence can I say that BD is 10% off all books at the moment.Wild About You
Last Kiss Goodnight
Dire Wants
Alien vs. Alien

We pre-ordered that one late last year, Regina. Hubby is constantly asking me, "Where's #3? When I can read #3?" I keep reminding him it's not out yet. (He wants to only read the Tor releases) Goofball, but I love that he loves them too. Some of my pre-orders:
... well, screw it, GR is being a little b*tch again. I'll come back later when I can post covers. :p
Haha! That is funny! I have an ARC at home, but I haven't cracked it open I am saving it so I can offer it up for a raffle -- but darn it is tempting!! I get where he is coming from. I understand both Fighting to Survive and Siege were heavily edited, I could be wrong though. I am re-reading Fighting to Survive right now, the Tor version - -and it feels tighter, smoother and better (if that is possible?!!)
I've only pre-ordered ONE book in my whole life and that happened recently - I'm just never in a rush to read anything. Now I'll probably start doing it more often, but mostly because I want to support the authors. :)
Sounds good, Regina. I'll have to re-read them, but the TOR version. He's really enjoyed them so far. I have the first Untold Tales TBR and keep forgetting about it, as it sits patiently on my bookcase. I want #2 as well. I am SO very, very anxious for Pretty When She Kills. I may re-read Pretty When She Dies first, since I read it back in 2009. I don't pre-order as many as some, DG, but I do like to know that my faves are heading my way as soon as they are released. I don't always read them immediately though. But, like in the case of Kiss of Snow and a few others, I started reading them as soon as they were in my hot little hands (or eReader).
Okay, lemme try this again. Here are my pending pre-orders (thru Nov):
LOL! Yeah, guess I should'a prefaced by saying that I have a lot of favorite authors. :)
The list looks lovely Steph! Pretty awesome ones coming up :)(btw, do you not find it annoying that GRs have changed and now doesn't put the author with the title when you hover over the books? Is this the same with everyone?)
Yes, Josie, I hate it. It's a real pain if you can't read the author on the cover cause then you've gotta go in and investigate.
Josie wrote: "Yes! Do you think they'll change it back?"Go complain at the Goodreads Feedback group. I think some people have done so already.
