The place for ALL your Aussie Authors for 2012
I would have to agree with Faye about The Book Thief. One of the best books I have ever written. I found myself re-reading pages because the prose was so beautifully written. The book is stunning.
I agree with everyone about The Book Thief--it's one of my all-time favourite novels. This year I finally got around to reading Cloudstreet, read Preincarnate by Shaun Micallef, and just finished The Children which was amazing. Going off now to read Animal People!

Just like to say as an Aussie author what a wonderful thing it is you do giving us a platform and a way to reach and create a readership. When you put in the lonely, mad mad long long hours, often, 24 straight, that way way ahead there's light at the end of the tunnel and a helping hand there as well. Thanks Brenda and co.
James, you are very welcome:) Without all you wonderful authors, we wouldn't have books to read, and that would be a tragedy!

My novel is Celtic Blood by me, James John Loftus. My novel is a thirteenth century thriller influenced by MacBeth and the writing of Nigel Tranter, Scotland's premier historical novelist. On the Amazon site, just type in Celtic Blood. I hope that helps.
I have finished James' book, Celtic Blood and enjoyed it...my review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I have read and re-read The Book Thief a number of times and it is my top 20 favourites. I also recommend, particularly to Victorian readers although certainly not limited to them, Everyman's Rules for Scientific Living, a quirky, entertaining and fascinating story about a train that travelled the state, giving farming advice, maternal welfare advice etc. to farming communities.
