Hi Zuzu, I love Jon Cleary's books. His characters are so real and down to earth. I was really sad when he died.

That’s disappointing Brenda….good and honest review thoughI’ve heard this book mentioned a lot in the AWW group. I was curious to know what you thought.
Thanks Mish...yes I was very disappointed, and it was a difficult review to write...it was either no review, or an honest one!
For anyone looking for more Aussie authors I have just finished "The Exotic Rissole" by Tanveer Ahmed. If you like Ahn Do's "The Luckiest Refugee" you may enjoy this book. Also another Aussie author I read a year or so ago was Caroline Overington's "Only In New York: How I Took Manhattan (with the kids). This is a memoir as well.Good luck to all the readers.

It's an enjoyable read. Do you like memoirs? It's quite a lighthearted read.I really enjoyed it. I was reading bits of it to my husband and he even was saying tell me more and he's not into books much. I love anything on New York that's a memoir.

I'll take a look at that book Mish. I'm off to the library this morning in my 2012 plan to read books on the "books to read" list I have! The weather is dismal in Sydney so it's a good day to have a good book.
