My first language is French, but I'm perfectly bilingual. However, I started reading books in English about 2 years ago maybe... It's all because of my e-reader, there isn't much ebooks available in French yet. But it has help me discover tons of books I would have never known about, so I'm pretty happy about that! =)
Hi MC, that's so cool you're bilingual, I'm terrible at learning other languages! Welcome to the group :)

The groups name, Young Adult Enthusiasts, caught my eye because I am interested in YA Literature and how technology is being used by young adults to discuss literature.
I am currently reading the tortilla curtain and just finished reading Feed. It is interesting to me that the social commentary in both novels is similar and both have tragic narratives.
I am looking forward to observing & participating in your discussions...The Book Thief is one of my all-time favorite novels.

Hi Ms Taylor, Kathleen and Jordan!! So good to have you in the group. Most of us LOVE YA books so you'll fit right in. Divergebt is definitely one of my favorites Jordan!!

Right, and have them still treat you sane :)

My name is Kel. I'm from the U.S (Louisiana). I enjoy watching movies and television (Netflix), playing video games, reading/writing, researching electronics, and basically just being the geek that I am. My favorite book series is (you guessed it) the Harry Potter Series!

I'm the Head of Youth Services at a lovely mid-sized library and a part-time Children's Librarian at another lovely mid-sized library also an ordained American Baptist pastor and (kinda, but not too, funny) stand-up comic.
YA fiction is what I read most with some tween, children's and adult mystery/detective fiction here and there. Thankful to be joining this group!
I believe firmly that if the world only had three musicians/artists to choose from they should be: Judy Garland, Jim Morrison and Tupac Shakur.
Glad to be here!
I write about the books I've read at revingsblog.blogspot.com. My favorite authors include Angela Johnson, Sara Zarr, Sharon Flake, the late Robert B. Parker and many more!
Hello to all!
Welcome Kel and Natalie, I love those books too!
And welcome Ing!! Guess what? I grew up in Pittsburgh and my family lives there now!!! Awesome town although I don't love there anymore I'll be visiting in August :)

1. I don't have to bring the book everywhere I go
2. I can read at night, before I sleep, without having to turn the lights on. You know, I can just drop dead/fall asleep without having to worry about the lights.
3. Physical books take up space, space that I don't have in my room. Although I would very much love to own a bookshelf/mini library
But that's just me. I do have a some books like Harry Potter set, some pocket books, a few hardbound books in a small shelf. :D
Let's be friends? Add me up. :)

Thanks! Added you already. :)

Wow David, you're an author? Awesome! I'll check out your books then. ;)

Congrats David, This is awesome! :)

Congrats! I'll look for your book ASAP. It looks interesting, right up my alley. XD
Hi Khawla!! Thanks for the congrats and welcome to the group, I'm obsessed with dystopian books at the moment too and THG and Divergent are definitely two of my favorites!!

hey Brandt :)

Believe me, where I live it's a very smart question! I downloaded the book (free ;) ) off the internet on my phone! the Font is tiny but I have no other choice, the libraries in my city are empty!!

Welcome Mia :)I can read very quickly too; I read 10 books in 2 weeks!! Reading puts you in a whole other world! :)

Surviving Elite High chronicles the life of a gay sixteen-year-old boy as he makes his way through life as an outcast in the shadows of an elite high school where he is tormented by two psychopathic bullies. On the verge of dropping out of school due to overdue payments, a teacher enrolls him in a tutoring program where he meets the school’s star quarterback and hero, Nick Anthony Hawking. Since he was doing poorly in several subjects, Nick needs John's help to pass and graduate high school.
As John becomes closer to the jock, he develops a strong affection towards him even though Nick has a strong reputation of sleeping around with a lot of women. Nick becomes his friend and protector in school. Their sincere friendship helps to bring out the best in each of them. Several tragedies, like a school shooting, threaten to change their young lives forever. Will they follow their own voice or return to the safety of their own shadows? Surviving Elite High is a breathtaking saga that illustrates a flourishing same-sex love, family, and friendship.
I have a non-GLBT novel call Raven and Crow: a Chain of Memories.... :-)

I've been addicted to reading from such a young age thanks to my wonderful mother that I cannot imagine life without my books!
I am super excited to be in this group and meet people who have a similar taste in books that I do and find some new books I may have never heard of that I will most certainly be checking out!
