Hello! My name is Issy, I'm 14 and I live in Australia, I enjoy reading (obviously), playing computer, hanging with friends, and basically just being a normal teenager.I like writing but generally peter out about one chapter(or page sometimes) in. I'm a bit of a geek and really like school- minus the stress!
I love to read pretty much anything but especially enjoy adventure, historical and classics. Favourite books is a hard one but I loved Harry Potter, The Book Thief, The Hobbit and anything by Terry Pratchett!

Hi Ally!
Jace ..."
I haven't read the Infernal Devices yet! I only recently (ish) read all of the Mortal Instruments series and since I have so many books to read I figured that I'd space them out a bit to avoid confusion. I hear from everyone that they're excellent though.
Hi Issy! Welcome to the group! I'm Ally. Seems we have a TON of Harry Potter fans here (how could we not in a YA group though, it's amazing!)

I love the author Sara Shephard. Especially her pretty little liars series and the lying game. I'm more about paranormal romances, thrillers, and mysteries.

My favorite book is now a 3 way tie between The Giver, The Great Gatsby and The Fault In Our Stars (which was my first book of this summer's reading list but it was just so incredibly good!). I also love the Harry Potter series and Hunger Games :)

Hey Ashley! All of the books you mentioned are so good! And I've been dying to start watching Sherlock! You reccomend it? Im Ally, by the way.
Welcome to the both of you, and I hope you both enjoy the group!

1. Divergent/Insurgent (Can't wait for the 3rd. Super excited!) - Veronica Roth
2. The Hunger Games/Catching Fire/Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins
3. Matched/Crossed (3rd coming out soon!) - Ally Condie
4. I love Harry Potter (In the midst of reading this, too.)
Other books that I enjoy that aren't catergorized as YA Fiction are:
1. Little Women
2. Romeo and Juliet
3. Gone with the Wind
4. The Phantom of the Opera
5. Insert more classics here.
I'm open to trying anything, so I'm super excited to be joining this group! :)
If any of you would like to be friends, seeing as how I have none on here, please do request!

Come stop by the blog and drop me a line. :)

honestly cannot say my favourite ..."

It's one of my favorites and thank you.

Hi! I'm Jelica, I'm 16, I live in Canada, I'm a violinist, and I volunteer in third world countries. I play soccer and hockey. I think that's all. My favourite YA books include Sarah Dessen books and Rick Riordan but my fav book of all time is "A Discovery of Witches". I love all genres, I could never pick just one!!

Hi, I'm Vishal from India. As a profession I do teaching and very fond of reading. I have a great liking for historical fiction and ancient learning as well as I love science fiction and sometime I feel sticking with non-fiction is also interesting. Alchemist was the book which had given me my enthusiasm back. Some writers in my favorite list are Paulo Coelho, Rusking Bond, George Orwell, Albert Camus, Dan Brown, H.G. Wells, Arvind Adiga, Kiran Desai and Shashi Deshpande as well as Osho's books are my mind support system. My living is a mixture of Mahayana Buddhism and Osho's way. Presently I have picked up 'The Origin Of Species' by Charles Darwin.

It's super hard to pick a favorite book..."
Thanks =] The Queen's Thief is a really interesting series, its super intricate and every time you read it you discover something new! It's great for analyzing lol.
Basically the books cover three countries, Eddis, Sounis, and Attolia, and how they evolve and survive. The first book is about a boy named Gen who is a thief and goes on a journey to find something they call the Gift.
I could go on, but I don't think I'll do it justice and I don't want to accidentally spoil anything.
However, I found a REALLY good review of the series from The Book Smugglers, please take a look!

And yes Jenelle, the series is by Megan Whalen Turner!
