Ed McBain's 87th Precinct book called Killer's Choice. Just finished the Dresden Files series and needed a few short books before jumping into a scifi series. My mystery cozy is Dying for a Date by Cindy Sample.
Finished A Street Cat named Bob and am reading The World According to Bob. These heartwarming books are about an orange cat that gave responsibility to a recovering heroin addict and showed him to was a reason to make a fresh start.
Finished Shiloh Autumn. Five stars. There was a lot of American history wrapped up in this series of four books. Wish there was a fifth!

Good to hear. I'm listening to it, along with another book. I haven't read any Steinbeck since high school :)

I am starting Sergeant Stubby, How a Stray Dog and His Best Friend Helped Win World War I and Stole The Heart of a Nation. This is a biography of one of the most decorated dogs in military history if not the most decorated. For history buffs and animal lovers.

Just finished The Wives of Los Alamos by Tarashea Nesbit. I liked it very much but some people were thrown of by the authors use of the word "we". It was a little difficult at first but you find yourself falling into the prose of the book. A look back in history from the feminine perspective.
I am reading the first book
in Nora Roberts new series so far it's really good and moves along quickly
Above the comment box clivk on add book/author a pop up will appear and you can add a link or cover after you type in. A book title. If you want to add the author click on the author tab. Hope this helps. Hopefully you can understand this i' m on my nook
I am reading the Boys in the Boat about the rowing time that won Olympic gold 1936 in Berlin, non-fiction.
I finished The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, a really lovely book. Now I'm deciding what to read from my pile of library books :)

600 Hours of Edward
Edward Adrift both books byCraig Lancaster
I read the 1st book not too long ago and the 2nd as soon as the library could get it to me (it had to come from MN as it wasn't in the local system).
Edward is an adult male with Asperger’s syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder. These books are novels that follow Edward's life as he learns to live a life that includes other people.
I really enjoyed both books and would recommend them to anyone.

I just finished, The Last Kings of Sark by Rosa Rankin-Gee, a bittersweet novel of three young people and their summer on the Island of Sark. It was different, but interesting.
Just started Natchez Burning by Greg Liles, a whopper of 800 pages and the first in a trilogy. I'll probably end up needing an arm brace...LOL!
I finished two books today, polar opposites of each other. First was
, the true story of a woman who was kidnapped by Islamic extremists for ransom in Somalia and held for 460 days. The first part was enjoyable - her life leading up to then was filled with travelling and having fun. After the kidnapping it got really hard to listen to the things that happened over the 460 days of captivity. I would be crying and have to listen to something else for a bit. One of the things that hit me was that the author is the one narrating. I don't think I could have survived what she did, much less be able to talk about it in a calm voice.
To the other end of the spectrum, I read
, a delightful novel about a man who rescues a hare that has been hit with his car. Right then and there he decides to abandon his current soul-sucking life, and wanders around Finland with the hare. The two have many adventures, making friends and enemies, while Vatanen is realizing what is important to him, and what he wants from life.

I have recently become a fan of Lisa See. To date I have read Dreams of Joy and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Loved them both!
I just started
The Fault in Our Stars figured I would see what my daughter was raving about. I'm also listening to
Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America which has been really funny. It's just taking me longer because I can't listen to it when my daughter is in the car with me. Too many naughty bits!

Reminded me too much of a friend who died of Hodgkin's when I was in high school, brought all of that back. Was depressed for days after I read it. It was very beautifully written, tho.

I've been debating whether or not I wanted to add Carsick to my tbr. Now it is :)

Mr. Mercedes and liking it so far. It's a mystery rather than a horror story."Read it last month and liked it a lot. I'm a King junkie for the most part, but must say it was nice to see Uncle Stevie write a flat out thriller!
