Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) Hi Lauren!

Sorry for posting these late, fallen asleep after dinner last night before I know it.
I had a nice time in your TBR, added a few of them to my already huge TBR (new year's resolution is again "buying no books until I read at least what I already own" and it looks like it will again be impossible :) ) Hope you can find something you will enjoy...

Welcome the Year

1.First Day - Fifty Shades of Grey - I loved this one, read a few months ago and looking forward to the last book of trilogy. It's quite on the erotica side of the contemporary and didn't notice much those in your list of books so this might be a good choice for out of your comfort zone.
The Hunger Games - one of my favourite dystopians - I am not a Sci-fi fan myself but loved this series -
Zero at the Bone - you have no M/M romance books so definitely the right book for out of your comfort zone, it is a good thriller with a lot of actions. Loved D - the bad boy hero :)

2.Second Day - A Taste of Midnight - You might want to give this novella a chance while waiting for the 10th book in the series.
When He Was Wicked - haven't read this series but I have the first 4 or 5 books, will start sometime this year. In the meanwhile you have already read and enjoyed the first 5 books so why not go on.

3.Third Day - Beyond the Night , Be Mine Tonight - looking at the covers, they both seemed pretty engaging books to me.
How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire - a fun series with loads of hot and sexy but good vampires.

During the New Year
4.Goodbye, Rabbit - The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie
Wicked Intentions
Devil of the Highlands
I haven't read those got 2 of them already but haven't got the chance to dive in and I believe these suits this category well enough.

5.Welcome, Dragon - A Hunger Like No Other - I haven't read this one either but heard it was quite hot all over the book.
Changing the Game - well the cover says it all, isn't it?
The Darkest Hour - Maya Banks's books are pretty hot all over most of the time so assuming this one is a good choice as well. I am planning to read this in January so let me know if you plan to read it.

6.Poor Cat - The Templar Legacy - have no idea about it's been months since you have added it to your TBR, it must have gotten dusty ;)
Shadowlight - quite a cover :D this has been sitting there quite long enough either.

7.Pass the luck around - Secrets of a Summer Night - you seem to like historical romances , this was a PIFM rec a few months ago

Celebrate the New Year
8.Spread the Love - Starcrossed - I have had this one for awhile now and planning to read it sometime this month.
Taking Care of Business - I like Megan Hart books so planning on reading this series

9. Lantern Festival - Gabriel's Inferno
Devil of the Highlands
Slave to Sensation

Happy Readings!!

Thank you so much for the picks! You were so fast with them and I didn't even get a chance to appreciate it because I was traveling and only got online a little while ago. I am excited to read everything you recommended. So many good books to choose from. I will probably go with the Judith McNaught books, and of course I must read the new Fifty shades book when it comes out. If I have time I will try to read a few more.
Thanks again!

I'm up for buddy reading Fate's Edge (The Edge, #3) by Ilona Andrews , that's one of my favorite series and i've been wanting to read it since it came out.
I'd also like to read Tangled Up In You (Writer Friends, #3) (Truly, Idaho, #2) by Rachel Gibson since i enjoy the author's style a lot.

There's plenty for me to enjoy here. I really don't know what to pick!

I'll definitely read Nothing Ever Happens, do you want to join us for the buddy read? A bunch of us will be reading it this month.

Then from the rest, I'll read at least one of these: Love & Loyalty, A Discovery of Witches & A Breath of Snow and Ashes, Dragon Bound, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (I need to get my hands on this after I got a super-duper spoiler in another book I was reading.)

Then from the rest, I'm very interested in The Red Scarf, Sarah's Key & Mistress of Rome but I'm not sure I'll get to them this month.

Thanks so much for the great picks!

Lili | 343 comments Hey Christine, I had a great time picking your books for this month, I hope you find something you like, if not, let me know and I’ll get you something else.
Health and lots of love for you next year… happy reading!

Welcome the New Year
1. First Day: One for the Money by Janet Evanovich, this is one of my favorite series, it’s a silly, quick read. If you feel like laughing a little and read a book not so serious, then this is a great book for you.
2. Second Day: Immortal in Death by J.D. Robb, I see you gave the first two books good ratings so maybe you want to try the third one.
3. Third Day: The Iron Duke by Meljean Brook. I see you like steampunk and I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while… I’ve read pretty good reviews and comments about it.

During the New Year
4. Goodbye, Rabbit!: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon it´s a big book! but it gets you and you fly through it all.
5. Welcome, Dragon!: Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken, oh I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while now… it’s supposed to be really good!
6. Poor Cat: A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole, BDB and this one are my favorite PNR series, and, unlike BDB, the immortals after dark series just gets better and better… I just didn’t like Payne’s book as much as the other ones, did you?
7. Pass the Luck Around: Divergent by Veronica Roth was recommended to me last month and I just bought it, it won a few awards and I think GS’s is one of them.

Celebrate The New Year (Buddy Reads)
8. Spread The Love: Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison I do feel like reading a dragon’s book… especially since I didn’t find any Ox or Rooster’s books in your TBR.
9. Lantern Festival: Adam by Jacquelyn Frank, last one in the series, just released.

Lili, Great picks!!!
I actually want to read them all, but I can't fit them all in this month so I'll have to settle for just a few of them. For now. I've already got a buddy read for Immortal in Death set up for mid-month, so that's great. The G.A. Aiken and Kresley Cole are both series I wanted to start this year, so this is extra motivation to squeeze them in this month.

I'm up for a buddy read on either or both of your recs, Dragon Bound or Adam. I already own both of these, so I could start anytime. Just let me know.

Thanks again.

Heather (messybar) | 189 comments So, I had some time at work, Elke, to come up with my picks for you. I hope some of these interest you enough to try them in January!

Welcome the New Year
1. First Day:
Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts. You seem to like NR's writing and you like book series according to your homepage, but haven't checked these out yet. I really liked this series and didn't seem like something you've read before.
2. Second Day: Unraveled by Courtney Milan. You've checked out the rest in this series, so I thought you might like to continue. Another option is A Little Harmless Pleasure by Melissa Schroeder.
3. Third Day: One Day by David Nicholls. This has been on your TBR a little while, and it does seem to be a lengthy one. There will be a Buddy Read at the end of January if those interest you.
Blood Brothers (Sign of Seven, #1) by Nora Roberts Unraveled (Turner, #3) by Courtney Milan A Little Harmless Pleasure (Harmless, #2) by Melissa Schroeder One Day by David Nicholls

During the New Year
4. Goodbye, Rabbit!:
The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley. This appears to be a new author to you, and a book I LOVED and takes place in Scotland. It is a long on though. lol OR another option is Ruthless by Anne Stuart set in Paris.
5. Welcome, Dragon!: Hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye. Loved this short story and it was plenty hot! If you want a Hot historical, how about Surrender by Pamela Clare.
6. Poor Cat: A Season To Be Sinful by Jo Goodman has been on your TBR a while, but I think The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins should be moved up your TBR list. =)
7. Pass the Luck Around: And One Last Thing ... by Molly Harper was rec'd to me and turned out to be one of my faves of 2011. Alternatively, a Julie James book was picked for me on a previous challenge, but I loved Something About You by her the most.
The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley Ruthless (The House of Rohan, #1) by Anne Stuart Hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye Surrender (MacKinnon’s Rangers, #1) by Pamela Clare A Season To Be Sinful by Jo Goodman The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins And One Last Thing ... by Molly Harper Something About You (FBI, # 1) by Julie James

Celebrate The New Year (Buddy Reads)

Polina (p0lit0o) | 71 comments Hi, Kami! Here are my picks for you. I hope it was worth the wait! Happy holidays and I wish you all the best in the fateful 2012!

WELCOME THE NEW YEAR

First Day - I see you are a huge paranormal-romance fan (so am I) so I decided to throw some contemporary in - Kiss an Angel and Just the Sexiest Man Alive - both are my favorites.

Second Day - This one is easy. I can't believe you haven't read the Immortals After Dark series yet. What are you waiting for? The first book is The Warlord Wants Forever. ;)

Third Day - A lot of heavy books on your to-read shelf! My pick is A Storm of Swords, this series has been recommended to me a lot so it must be good. Plus, you've read the first to books, why not try the third?!

DURING THE YEAR

Goodbye, Rabbit! - Daughter of Smoke and Bone - this is one of my new favorites and it is set in Prague! You should definitely try it!!!

Welcome, Dragon! - Beyond the Highland Mist - Cool cover, plus it's Karen Marie Moning so it must be good. I'm so adding it to my to-read pile. :D

Poor cat! - Well, there are a lot of books sitting in the dust on your shelves since 2008! so I picked Destiny Kills randomly.

Pass the Luck Around - Slave to Sensation - I love love love this series and I got it from a previous PIFM challenge.

CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR

Spread the Love - Enemy Lover
Lantern Festival - Dragon Bound
Both are exciting new series we both have on our shelves so let me know if you want to do a buddy read (or two).

That's it from me. Happy reading!

Hey Grace - I had time on my lunch to peek at all of your picks. I had already planned on reading both
In Bed with a Highlander and Beyond the Highland Mist if you would like to buddy up for one or both let me know. Am also going to try Deadly Fear. If not this month then will fit them in with other challenges in the coming months. Thanks again for the great picks!!

Uh, Hi Miss, I hope you have a happy new year, too. But I didn't pick for you this cycle, I think that KarenF did. I hope the two of you can put together that buddy read, but I'm not that far along in the Edge series, so I won't be joining you in January. Hope we get to trade recs in the future though.

Have a great 2012, both of you!

LOL I have to stay organized otherwise I forget what I have, what I want to read, and where I can find 'em on my shelves. You've got some good pics for me. I'll start with Blood Bound (Mercedes Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs and see if I can find In the Bleak Midwinter (Rev. Clare Fergusson, #1) by Julia Spencer-Fleming from the library. I'd love to buddy read Assassin's Honor by Monica Burns if I can find that from the library as well. I'll let you know. ;)
