What actually happens to a shadowhunter when his or her parabatai dies? Because in the books they mention in parts something about once a shadowhunters parabatai dies the one whos left kinda dies inside aswell...? I have no idea! Someone please help!Also I actually love both Will and Jem they are both as beautiful as any living thing can get! :D

Also, you know that Mortmain tells Tessa that he created her? Well, this just came to mind and I am not entirely certain, but maybe, just maybe, Mortmain could be Tessas father O.o And maybe that's why he wants her, because he wants his daughter back (and because hes obviously evil maybe he wants to experiment on her to make her immortal or something and maybe that's how she might become immortal) or maybe that's just me thinking too much about all this lol I've said 'maybe' way too much on this comment haha

I reckon that Tessa can have children cause she is a one-of-a-kind warlock. If she does have kids, it's going to gobsmack everyone else in the book! I can' wait for the book!

They don't really know what Tessa is. They just call her a warlock because it's the most similar thing to what she is. I remember there are several times in the book where Tessa says something similar to, "If I really am a warlock or whatever it is I am..." or, "it is not certain that I am a warlock." Clare likes tricking us to make us think people are things they are not. Spoiler for the whole TMI series (view spoiler) Anyway why bring up the whole kids thing if she isn't going to make something totally screwy happen and viola Tessa can have kids. That's what Clare likes to do. That's how I view it anyway.

After. No i dont think he turns into a Silent Brother. Being a shadow hunter is important to him. It has become a part of him. It came to define him when he had nothing left. So i doubt its him.
and if tessa doesn't choose him he won't stop loving her but that doesn't mean he will wait for all eternity.

yeah, i realize that but think about how crushed he was at the end of clockwork prince, if jem marries tessa and dies it means he'll be losing both Tessa and his parabatai. and remember what magnus says about what happens to one parabatai when the other one dies? i don't he'll be able to handle it and he'll never marry again because he's too noble, he won't marry Tessa because of Jem and he won't marry anyone else because he'll feel its not fair to whoever it is because he can't give himself to the person completely. if cecily marries the last name of the child's last name may not be horandale because she's the mother

My head hurts :( I think that would be Will's great-great-great son or something like that. I don't think that at that time the women kept their family names... So it's hard to say tat he is related directly to Cecyl.

Was Stephen Herondale blonde? Because since Jace has the Angel blood in his veins, and most everything about him is gold, wouldn't that mean his hair would be too? So if his hair color is a manifest of the Angel Blood, Stephen and Celine wouldn't necessarily need to be blonde. But i agree with your theories :)

Just finished reading the summary of Lady Midnight from the Dark Artifices Series, Cassandra Clare's new series. What about Jems descendant? He is the only one in his family left. AND in the summary of lady midnight the girls name is Emma Carstairs! Jems last name so who does he end up with? Dark Artifices comes out in 2015. Just thought of adding that.

OMG!!! What if all the immortal people like Tessa, Magnus, Simon, whoever Brother Zacharia and whoever else turns up in the lady midnight book! That would be sooo cool!!!
for all those wondering who Jem might have ended up with, there were some teaser quotes from Clockwork Princess hinting that Cecily might have had a crush on Jem, so we could also have a Jem/Cecily pairing, especially when Emma Carstairs is said to have dark blue eyes....anyways just a thought cause it sounds more likely to happen!
It's most likely Will because if it was Cecily she most likely wouldn't of kept the last name name Herondale.
This is what seems the most probable. Will will be with Tessa and make a Herondale. Jem will be with Cecily and make a Carstairs. And someone else will be brother Zacharia. Most likely Gideon.
Okay, not to sound crazy here BUT i read the summary thing on the Dark Artifices (next shadowhunter series coming out) and the girl it focuses on has Carstairs so some decendant of Jem MUST survive!! or carrys on with a different name then it gets revealed late (like with Jace) Also, is it possible for Tessa to reproduce?? I really hope so!!! Totally going for the never-happened-before-shadowhunter-warlock-not stillbirth theory here. I think that Tessa'a angel protects her from the automatons, but i think Nate knew more then he told her (why did he tell her to never take it off)I really cannot wait for clockwork princess to come out and hopefully the family tree after that!! also, does anyone know why Magnus is banned from peru?
Tessa gave will a book. (forgotten the title) but it was found by Jace in the mortal instruments in the box Amatis gave him of Stephens things, there was something written on the first page that Jace read but i dont remember what!!!
