((*so she couldn't see his shoulder))

A grave expression crossed Anubis's face as he looked at Inglades.
"I give you my deepest sypathy. And I would gladly help you slay this 'daemonlord'."
Anubis smiled on the inside. He had definatly found what he was looking for.

Anubis looked at Pine wolves out of the corner of his eye. Her back was turned, but even without seeign her face, he could tell she had ill feelings towards him.
The wolves growled and Anubis gave a half smile.
"I'm ready whenever you are."

Anubis looked to the sky. That Pine girl was way to smart for her own good.
He just hoped Raziel kept out of this, that arrogant jack.
And that nobody else voiced their opinion against him.

"I think we should at least ask him some more questions before we agree to this..."

((omg, personal contact. You gonna take that Mike?))))
"I understand that I am a hard person to trust," said Anubis. "I would gladly answer any of your questions to gain you're trust."

"Alright then" Pine said, going up to Anubis "what's you're tatto?"
Anubis would start sweating if his unnatural body could capacitate sweat glands.
But he didn't. He smiled at Pine. "A joke. A friend's name. He put it there while I was asleep."
He ajusted his armor slightly so the tattoo couldn't be seen.

Anubis rolled his eyes.
Seriously? Do these people really think that this is ok? Just letting whom ever they meet join in? At least I sucked up. At least I'm putting effort into gaining their trust.
There's going to be alot of bodies.

Yeah, niether did I, thought Anubis.
"Since we're going to be working togeather, I'd like to apologize for attacking you." He said to the elf, bowign slightly.

Anubis tried to streach a smile across his tight face.
"We'll, you see, it's not just a name, m'lady... There's something else... a word that I wouldn't dare speak in front of you, let alone expose you to."
Anubis gagged on the inside. He swore more than anybody in this group combined, let alone in front of women.
'That's what chivalrious people do, right?', he tought.

Ripple was watching from the shadows, her form a black crow. It was interesting to watch Anubis carry on in this fashion, and she wasn't going to leave now.
Anubis shifted his weight.
"We should get moving. We should slay this evil as soon as possible. Furthermore, the woods are unpredictable at night. Things may pop up that even a group like ours couldn't match."

Ripple snickered to herself. "Something like me?" she thought to herself. "No, they couldn't match me. For I am the ruler of the animals, and if I so choose I could have them all eaten by vicious beasts." She grinned. This would be fun.

'Show off...', thought Anubis.
Ripple grumbled the entire way back to her tree. "I'll show that little impostor." she said to herself. She looked up, her eyes shining. "He just better look out."
"You call that usefull?", Anubis said to the elf. "I can shoot crap with lightning! Or do you not remember?" The last this he said with a smile, playing with a small spark in between his fingers.
Ripple set to work on her concoctions. They should know not to anger a sprite, especially not a powerful one!

'More then the woods have and evil will about them, Inglades', Anubis thought as he shouldered his axe and followed him.
As he went he called back to the elf. "Coming, oh observiant one?"

"Can you get cut in half and live?", Anubis said to the snorting elf. "Can you fall 200 feet onto your back and live? Can you be set on fire and live? Or be impaled and live? Or eaten by a kracken and live? Or go to Hell and back?" Anubis pushed passed the stranger. "I think not."
He turned his head but added "I can."
He turned his head but added "I can."
Ripple decided not to be vicious, but start out friendly. However, if they tested her, she would be sure that they knew never to mess with a sprite.

Anubis felt a wolf land on his back, and turned in time to hack one with his axe.
He shot back two more with his lightning. He reached back a pulled of the wolve on his back. A foot long chunk of flesh came of with it and he threw it to the side like a doll.
His next strike was at Pine.
His axe stopped right next to her neck. He didn't finish the blow. It wouldn't haev mattered; he was probably a dead man anyway. Instead he stared her dead on in the eyes. He said nothing. He just stared.
Then he started to laugh. It was deep at the back of his throat, his shoulders shaking slightly, but he did not speak.
He just laughed and stared.

((yeah, what IS wrong with these people :) ))
