Shaya sighed and continued walking. She sent safe vibes out through the forest so hopefully her father wouldnt send her other brothers after her.
"Yes" Pine said "We should not wait longer, lets go." Pine started walking along the forest, following the trail of the monster that burned down this part of the forest.
Pine looked over at Tamisin, the people coming were growing by the second "Hey" She said "Coming for revenge too? Or do you have a different reason?"
"Oh....." Pine said "Okay...." She fell into silence for a moment and then: "So do you go on quests a lot when you are bored?"
"Four?" Pine asked, startled, "How..." She stopped talking abruptly as they left the forest to come across a huge meadow, swarming with.....something....
"I...don't know" They looked like bug creatures, but humming under her breath Pine was unable to drawn them to her, so they were no natural animal "They look vicious though"
"They sure do," said Tamisin. "I wonder if, like normal, bugs, the hide when it starts raining?" Tamisin closed her eyes and concentrated. A light drizzle fell from the sky.
Pine jumped as the 'bugs' started crackling with some kind of fire. "You know...." Pine said trying to keep the fear out of her voice "Maybe we should try to find another way around" She turned to cut through the forest to find that one of the 'bug' things that was now slightly blue from the fire was right next to them
Pine picked up a stick and started bashing the bug "RUN" she shouted as her stick set on fire. Pine let out a loud yowl, hoping to get some bears to help them out.
Tamisin jumped at the yowl. What was that for? she wondered. She took off running; flying wouldn't be useful this deep in the woods.

Pine let out a gasp of relief as a huge bear leaped out of the trees and landed on the bug, only to let out another gasp, of horror. Sure, the bear had squashed the bug, but it had also set on fire. "Lets..." Pine took a breath "Lets get out of here." She stepped around the bear, shaking, and followed Tamisin through the woods
"we have so little time... follow me, i know a path through the hills that may be of use, it's known to members of my order as a long abandoned pathway..."
"Okay" Pine said, she was reluctant to leave the forest, her home that she had never left before, but she wanted....she needed.... revenge.
inglades started down the path, riding his horse at a painfully slow pace to match his friends on foot.
"it's about fifty miles to the east, you can't miss it. it's a large, stone fortress, surrounded by a city, with white marble walls around that."
Shaya blasted water behind them trying to slow the bugs down, then kept running.
Unnoticed, Erica had slipped off into the tree's she knew what they needed to kill the bugs but not where to find it.
Xapneir had quietly followed behind all of this discussion. He knew he had to make a decision: travel with the group, or merely directly behind him. For one of this past, it was hardly easy. Checking to make sure he had all his gear, he decided that he would follow within a quarter of a mile behind them- close enough to help and be helped, but not quite close enough to be easily seen by someone without high magical powers. Regardless, this was bound to be an interesting journey.
Pine stopped abruptly, was someone missing? She was sure that there was someone not there, she must of forgotten about them in the battle, but who WAS it.....?Pine suddenly slapped her head. Erica was missing. Of course, she had just run off with all her wounds. "Has anyone seen Erica?" She asked.
erica stumbled through the trees. "Help me." She whispered to the silent creatures. "I need the water flower." she heard them speak and followed their directions. across a lake, beyond the ledge. Through a hole. She rean throgh all these directions until she found a small silvery lake. The water lapped against the shoor. she swam across. The water stung in her cuts but she had to help her friends. Beyond a edge. Just then she notticed a rocky ledge above on the right path. she stepped over a tree root that lay in her path. and through a hole. she looked around but could find no holes in the rocky ledges around her. she walked a little farther. She sat down on a branch of the nearest tree. "What do I do now?" She asked herself. Then she felt the ground beneath her shake. She jumped off the place she had been standing. She reached down on the ground and relized there was a seam where the ground ended. She picked up the plank of wood to see a hole. Just big enough for her. She scrambled inside. She searched in the dark until she found a spiky plant. "Yes" she said. She felt along the stems, prickles cutting her hands, until she found a small wet flower. She grabbed as many as she could hold and climbed out of the hole. She asked the tree to borrow a few of her leaves. When the tree agreed she took leaves and stuck them together to form a bowl. SH squeezed the juice out of the flowers until the bowl was full and then made plants grow over the top of the bowl so that the liquid wouldn't spill. She raced back towards her friends.
Shaya blasted more water around as a bug flew in her face. "Idiotic pest!" she hissed.
By stopping Pine allowed a huge bug to slam into her. "AHH!" she yelled, fire started lapping up her arm. She jumped away and rolled to get the fire out. Then grabbed a huge branch and slammed it into the bug, making it go flying. She dropped the stick and it quickly went out.
inglades swung his sword in wide arcs, hitting as many of the bugs as he could, his sword shining with a white light, brighter than when they had first met. he took a wide swing, and clove three in half
Erica could hear shouts coming fro the direction of the path. She ran forward to help her friends. when she reached the path she saw the bugs surrounding them. She ran over to ingledes avoiding his sword. "I'm behind you! don't hit me!" She yelled She reached into the leaf bowl and drew out some of the blue liquid. As she rubbed it it started to evaporate. She could see it filling the air. She kept doing this. She could see the bugs near her starting to die.
Pine coughed as the evaporated liquid filled the air, it stung her eyes, but it seemed to be working. She watched at one by one the supernatural bugs fell to the ground, their fire going out.
Pine straightened up as the evaporation cleared, there were now only a couple of live bugs and they were all twitching on the ground in agony. "What was that?" Pine asked, turning to Erica.
Shaya let the water fall to the ground and it seeped back into the dirt, she flicked some dead bug from her arm grimacing and to looked at Erica.
Far away from the group, hidden from sight, a pair of eyes were watching intentally. The group had been hard to find, and Anubis wasn't quite sure if they were what he was looking for.
He looked to the sky. He couldn't exactly sweat, but he couldn't feel heat either. He couldn't feel anything. That is what set him apart from the people down there.
He set his hand on the handle of his axe. Just in case.

"I thought they were extinct or something," Shaya whispered in amazment.
Anubis felt an arrow or blade pressed againts his back. "did you think you were the only one who was looking for this group?" Said a voice from behind.
Anubis almost laughed.
"I guess I did. So who are you, friend?"
"I guess I did. So who are you, friend?"
"come my friends, we have no time. we must get to waymeet!" inglades took his horse by the reins and walked into the woods
Pine cast one more look back at the bugs and shivered, then she turned and followed. As she walked away from the bugs though, the odd feeling didn't go away, she felt like something icy cold was running down her spine. It was the feeling she got when she felt like she was being watched. But that was absurd, she decided, why would anyone be watching them?

under his breath he murmured, so even keen elf ears couldn't make it out " it's how he would have wanted to die..."
