inglades, growing tired of waiting for sindelian's magic to take effect, walked out in to the night air, moving towards the guest quarters.

(I thought you were playing the Orc?)
((sort of... jordan, you're the orc now.)) grayndon walked the silent streets of the city, wearing his dark leather armor, with a blood red blade buckled to his belt. his dark cloak fluttered around him, clinging to him, wrapping around him like a shroud. his black ash bow was held in a dark gauntlet.
days later,(aka the present) grayndon stalked down the trail, bent low, searching for the tracks he knew were near. he had changed. he had learned things, perhaps he had been safer not knowing. but his newfound power had easily made up for the correspondingly devastating moral fall. he saw the tracks, uttering the minor spell he had been taught, seeing the footprints glow with a faint light. they were from a pair of boots, soft and supple. of elvish make, he imagined. they were shallow, suggesting either that the ground was fairly dry at the time when they were made, or that the person making them was lightly armored. he followed the tracks, moving swiftly. he would be upon the intruder by nightfall. (erica can come in...)
Erica leaned against the tree feeling the pain her legs building up. She had to keep moving. She tried to straighten up but as she did so she heard a sharp noise. She moved out of sight behind a tree.
grayndon heard the snap of a twig, the rustle of leaves, and knew that his target was near. he nocked an arrow, drawing back his great bow. his cloak wrapped around him like a shroud, obscuring him from view. he saw the shape of an arm from behind a tree, and took careful aim. his arrow soared in to the tree with a sharp cracking noise, pinning the form to the tree by her sleeve. he drew his red blade, stalking in.
Erica's arm was stuck. She tried to pull the arrow out of the tree. She struggled frantically. The figure was getting closer.
Erica looked up at her name. She couldn't understand how this figure knew her. She brushed her matted and dirty hair away from her bruised face. She stared at the stranger for a moment and gasped. "Grayndon?" She asked. Tears fromed in her eyes and washed clean streaks down her face.
inglades woke in his room, the predawn light filtering through the windows. he rose and dressed, putting on his sword. he had the military support he would need, and the men of solamnia were looking to him to lead them. he shook his head hopelessly. we would lead them if he had to.
"this rather complicates things" he said coldly. "you have made things very difficult for me. my master ordered me to kill whoever it may be who intruded into his territory." he looked grim at this "i don't want to hurt you. leave."
"if you stay, you will be killed. even if i do go against the orders, nay, the magical compulsion, to kill you, one of his other servants will." he sheathed his sword. "please, run, before my master shows up. if he finds us here, he will kill us both!"
grayndon lowered his head, and closed his eyes tightly. a line of blood trickled from his nose, and it was clear that he was locked in a mental struggle. after several long moments, he opened his eyes, looking at erica. his hair hung in strands around his face, and blood pooled at his chin, dripping on to his armor and cloak. erica hardly noticed this, however. his eyes burned with a pale light, a sulfrous yellow color, rimmed in a deep red. he drew his sword again, his face a feral mask of rage.
when he spoke, his voice was amplified as though he spoke in a large, empty room. "the master! du anglat himself!!!" he roared savagely "don't you see! i joined the other side!" now the blood on his face was mixed with tears
"i thought i could kill him! i didn't want you to come... i thought it was too dangerous. he won. he made me serve him."
Erica listened to his words. All his pained filled her heart. "I can't leave you like but I must get help if I am going to free you!"
"he's the only one who can release me! either he releases me-and i'm certain he wouldn't- or he dies. neither of those seems likely, given his level of power."
Erica was frantic. "I don't care!" She looked at her arm. "Help me get this arrow off." She said, tugging at the shaft.
grayndon pointed to the arrow, and flicked his finger. it flew backwards out of the tree. "go. he's going to regain control any moment."
Erica took one look at his tortured face and ran off. She had to find Inglades before her brother was changed completely. She knew where he should be but she had no idea how far away she was. She found a town and asked directions. It was about a 2 day walk from there. ((Where is inglades?))
grayndon walked slowly back to the city, glad that erica had run. he didn't want her to suffer because he was too weak to resist the demon. he was sure the demon would torment him when he returned, but that was a price he was willing to pay.
erica walked to Solamnia. The walk would take a while but it was worth it. Her legs pained her but she found her last resorts of energy from her brothers haunted face. She had traveled for almost a day when she met a carriage that was passing. The man in the carriage looked down at her and asked where she was going. After she told him he offered to take her there. She climbed into the carriage. The man thought she was some homeless wretch.
(oops, i meant the solamnia thing for inglades.) (in solamnia) inglades walked in front of rows of solamnic soldiers, trying to rouse their will to fight the demon. inglades was amazed with the turnout. he hadn't expected half of the soldiers here to volunteer, but here they were, ready to risk their lives to defend Faerun(the continent) against a terrible foe.
Erica rode for hours rapped in the blanket that the nice man had given her. She rested and gradually the weariness left her limbs. She sat up. "What has been going on recently?" She asked the man. "There are hardly any people." "There is a war coming." He said solemly. "I am going to solamnia to fight."
dalamar stood in his chamber in the tower of high sorcery, watching inglades in his crystal ball. he was doing well in raising an army. far better than dalamar had expected.
"Oh!" Erica said understanding. "Hold on Lass." He said "we are nearly there.
Erica nodded.
Soon they reached the pass to solamnia. They were only ten minutes away. Erica looked at the fields. They were no longer green. There were war tents pitched everywhere. When they reached the gates. The man and erica bid farewell. Erica traveled the ground searching for inglades.
She approched a steward. "Hello." She said
"Hello" He said gruffly.
"I am looking for Inglades." She said
The man nodded. He left going to fetch him.
several days later, inglades sat in his study, looking over a map of solamnia and the surrounding area with two of his highest ranking officers. there was a knock at the door, and inglades opened it. "sir" a low ranking steward approached inglades. "what is it?" inglades asked. "sir, someone is here to see you." inglades stared blankly for a moment, before responding "show them in then."
Erica heard inglades's voice. her heart leapt. She burst into the room. "Inglades!" She yelled, running to hug him.
inglades looked at erica in surprise. be the time he had regained his composure, they were in each others arms. "how did you get here?" he asked.
While Inglades wited for his visitor, Sindelian entered from an abjoining room, his eyes weary and bloodshot. "Inglades, I am sorry about the wait, but there was an enchantment on this orc that made it very diffucult to divulge information. I have, however, discovered the indentity of his 'messanger'. It is a great red dragon, whose name is Skie. He is known to be the most fercious dragon in the world, and he has no weaknesses s far as we can tell."
((Sure))Erica looked at the new man. Then she looked at his face. She thought how she must look. her clothes were torn her face filthy, her hair matted and her arms ripped and bleeding. "Inglades." She said quietly. "I need your help."
((Um ok... Kind of hard to explain. Erica who is an elf just found her brother whom has now turned onto the bad side because he could not defeat the dark lord. Inglades is setting up an army to defeat the shadow lord person and erica has just come to him asking for help. I don't really know where the others are cause they haven't come on for a while.))
((And Sindelian is a really powerful Wizard that is helping Inglades))
Erica looked at inglades's concerned face. "It's Grayndon!" She said tears running down her filthy face. "He's under the power of the deamon"
"Inglades! We have not the strength to march yet! Additionally, what will we do about the Dragon?"
