Shaya walked through the palace collecting her things she would leave soon. A small bag was slug over her soulders, she walked out to the front looking for Erica.
"I don't even expect to survive this quest, Scorch. I don't know what you expect of this, but I'm almost certain that even if we can destroy Du Anglat, we may very well die." he was cold in the night, but he didn't really notice. "Are you sure you want to risk so much?"
Zane slipped through hte trees. He was looking for someone who? He had no idea but his magic had revealed a horrible comming to a certain person and he had ot find them.
"For my entire life, I've lived by a rigid code of honor. Because of it, my brother is dead." he looked sad, unsure. as quickly as the weakness came, it was gone, replaced with a mask of stoicism. "that was my fault though... it won't happen again"
"it's one of a knight's jobs." he said simply "we are supposed to be paragons, exemplars. we aren't supposed to show fear or weakness."
inglades sat against a solitary tree, his arms wrapped around his chest for warmth in the chill air.
((Um I have no ideas on how to get him so you can make it all up))Erica searched for days and not a single thing was found. He had litterally vanished.
Shaya ran. She knew she would exhast eisier, but she needed the disraction. It would take weeks untill she would reach her Kingdom's land, she wabted to get there soon.
the next morning, the party left the mountains behind, entering the plains on the fields of solamnia
"welcome to the vingaard mountains!" inglades said, gesturing to the east, where snow capped mountains were lost in the clouds. "lord Gunthar's keep is less than and hour's ride from here"
Shaya reached a river close to the borders of her kingdom. Bending down to the water she cupped some in her hands. Gasping she backed away. The water had been poisond.
(ok) graydon (is that his name?) walked down the empty forest path, his cloak rustling at his feet. he wondered if this time, he was in over his head. he was running, something he wouldn't have admitted to a year earlier. but he was running to save erica and her friends from a horrible fate, so he reasoned that he wasn't running so much as luring. with grim determination, he walked towards the cursed city of waymeet
(Thanks)) Erica stumbled through the underbrush. Her hands were bleeding but she let them hurt. She wanted to feel pain. She wanted to feel something. Not just numb. Erica collapsed . She was exausted. She had been searching for days. She needed to rest. She slept.
the same night, inglades and the others sat around a table, with an aging knight, lord Gunthar Uth Wistan, their host. inglades sat to his right, discussing in a low voice his plans for action against the demon. ***
du anglat sat at the pinnacle of his tower, surveying the dark landscape around his city. a flicker of motion caught his eye. he snarled, jumping from the tower and spreading his crimson wings
"your plan, inglades" gunthar said in interest "seems very risky to me." he frowned "what you're asking is for me to muster what military forces possessed by solamnia. i'm not able to summon the manpower to do that. i don't even know how many knights are available, but i'll do what i can"***
graydon dropped behind a bush. his cloak rustled by his feet, and he nocked an arrow. he saw the red form drop from the tower, and he drew his bow back with a creaking groan of protest from the wood.
anglat landed in front of a small clearing beyond the city wall. he felt a presence with his magic, but he couldn't see anything. a man, dressed darkly and holding a great bow, stepped from the underbrush. "your time is up, demon" he said. anglat only chuckled.
inglades sat back, his eyes cast down, slowly sipping a glass of wine. "how many knights, my lord, can you spare?" he asked gunthar. Gunthar thought for a moment "not many true knights, but a few hundred foot soldiers perhaps. i don't know the strength of the defense of waymeet, but as long as i live i will strive to avenge my fallen brothers"
Shaya looked at the river that would flow to the her fathers kingdom. How had it been poisond?
"you shouldn't have come here, graydon" the demon taunted "you know the price of betrayal" graydon's face paled in rage. "who are you to lecture me about the cost of betrayal?" he demanded angrily. "you, the very embodiment of rage and betrayal. no, i am finished with you. you have no power over me, or my sister. this is your end" he said, releasing the arrow, which thudded into the demon's chest.
inglades glanced at scorch, who seemed to be staring intently at something. he turned his gaze to follow hers, and asked in a low voice "what is it?" ***
du anglat staggered back from the pain the arrow caused. he bared his fangs at graydon, who seemed very unsettled to see him still standing. "I am infinately more powerful than you." he held a ball of flame now in his hand
inglades walked over to the window, leaning his head out. indeed, there was something in the bushes.
A horrible pang of realization hit Shaya as she understod w hat was going on. Quickly she ran to the kingdom.
Zane stopped in the trees. He heard somthing, it didnt sound good.

lord gunthar stood up, walking next to inglades with his sword drawn. "what do you see, inglades?" he asked. inglades gestured towards a figure attempting to hide in the underbrush. (do you have a plan for the visitor, or should i wing it?) ***graydon fell to the ground from the impact of the flames hitting his body.
inglades leapt from the window, into the bush. he hit the "guest" with all of his body mass, knocking it to the ground. after a moment of struggling, inglades had his knife the the spy's throat, and recognized the ugly gray features and foul odor of an orc.
