Another new show that I'm watching (ONCE UPON A TIME)
Yep! We were discussing this in another thread. Love the concept of the show. Fairy-tale characters stuck in the modern world with no idea of their past. Very interesting and lots of intricate storylines weaving together. I'm liking it so far :)
I like this series too!The episode last night though...gah! I didn't see that coming.
I don't want to say anything in case someone hasn't watched it but it made me a little sad.
Wonder what will happen next week?
I like "Once Upon A Time" also...Good concept. Another really good newbie is Grimm, Friday's on ABC.Grimm's Faery Tales are real.

I love "Once Upon A Time"!! Last night's episode was definitely unexpected. It's made me very anxious for next week. There has to be a way to "undo" what was done last night.I also enjoyed the first episode of "Grimm". I have the rest on my DVR, but with work, family, and books, I haven't had an opportunity to catch up!
I agree Wanda, it can't just be..done like that. At least I hope not!I like Grimm too! Much darker than Once Upon a Time but still very good and a new twist on the Brother Grimm tales.
I had a huge book of their fairy tales growing up that I use to love reading (I actually still have it). It was one of my most favorite books.
I love the little boy. He's adorable! I think he was in the movie adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. I'm not too crazy about Snow White, but I think the evil queen rocks, lol.I've only seen a few episodes of Grimm, and actually prefer OAT. But I like that there are several paranormal shows to choose from.
I've been watching Once Upon A Time too, and I have a prediction to make. I think the main girl...I forget her name, but I think she's actually the fairy god mother and doesn't know it...What do you think?
Emma? She is Snow White's daughter. I don't think she is a fairy godmother. She was prophesied to be the one that can break the curse. In the first episode Rumpelstiltskin made a prophesy to Snow White and James (Prince Charming) saying so. He also spoke about it to the Queen before he was imprisoned.
Yeah there was a lot of info in the first episode about Emma and Henry, if you can you really should watch it. It showed who a lot of the people were in both worlds.
Love this series! A great concept and not confusing like Lost. And it's a fun show to watch with my 9 yo daughter. She likes Henry :)
I love Once Upon A Time. I love the fact that we are finally seeing some paranormal/fairy tale shows on the major networks. I can't wait to see what other fairytale characters appear. I heard that Belle would be in this season.I hope with the popularity of Once Upon a Time and Grimm, that more shows like this will be made. I used to love the show Eastwick, and was really upset when they canceled it.

I also like that this is a family-friendly show. My kids are a little older, so we can watch a lot of adult shows, but I'm more comfortable with something tamer.
And, Jaime, my daughters and I *love* Henry :) He's adorable!
Yes, Henry is a cutie, and the whole catalyst for the show. I would love to see more paranormal shows, non-vampire ones. :)
Brittany, our 9 yo daughter loves the show! At first I thought it was going to be too adult since it was on later in the evening. After watching it, I realized she'd really enjoy it. Now it's our family show to watch together and we all love it.
I love it! I watch it with my 15 year old son every Sunday. There aren't a lot of good family shows on TV but Once Upon a Time is great. It's the stories everyone knows with a modern twist.
I am really loving this show, way more than I thought I would to be honest. It is a lot of fun to watch and I like that it isn't too graphic or gory and there isn't any swearing (at least not that I can remember) so far.
I adore this show. I actually find myself looking forward to Sunday night because of this show. The characters are great and I love they way they jump back and forth between the past and the present.
I also like that the story has a running thread. Each episode is it's own story, but the entire thing is building into something bigger. One part I'm not crazy about though is (view spoiler)
Could just be me, though :P

Me too! I am sad when it isn't on!

LOL - between this and Downton Abbey I just want the weekend to fly by so I can plop myself in front of the TV on Sunday nights.
I like Rumple too, I think there is still way more about him and his plans than what they have shown. I am still trying to figure out if he is good or bad or maybe just a little of both.
I agree, Michelle, the affair between Mary Margaret and David makes me uncomfortable. Moreso, though, David is such a wimp. I know they want to drag things out, but they're losing my interest in him. He's cheating, but still pretending to make things work with the wife. Finally (how do you do those spoiler hiders? Love that!) **Spoiler if you're behind!** he gets the cohones to end things and then loses them by lying to MM. Argh. Rumple is deliciously evil, and yet we see his soft side, too. The perfect villain.
I loved seeing Rumple, I got exactly what I was hoping for with the last episode with him in it, it was great!I agree about David, I really didn't like the last episode with him and Mary Margaret.
I have to ask, what is up with the writer? Did he change the book? Who is he?
I read a little spoiler about the writer, but all that it said was that he's a bad guy. no other details :(
I was really hoping he would be a good guy, that is too bad.I think Emma needs more good people on her side.
My bestie and I were actually talking about the show yesterday, her husband and I agree that he totally changed the book. maybe removed himself from it? She does not think he did anything to it. But we started speculating on who he could be and we decided he's the big bad wolf! (her husband agrees b/c with his beard hes hairy like the wolf, lol!)
Good thought Jennifer on the Big Bad Wolf.I actually didn't think he actually changed the book. I was thinking that he made a copy and then made the pages wet & rumpled to make it look like the book got washed away in the storm, instead of someone taking it. Emma thinks it got washed away so if that was what he was doing his plan worked.
Poor Graham. You might be right Jennifer!
It is weird though that the mayor didn't seem to know who he was, of course, she is good at deceiving everyone as we all well know.
She is so evil.
I guess it's possible that he made a copy and kept the original for himself; I hadn't thought of that.Yes, the Queen is super Evil (man, I love to hate her!) and she is so convincing that I think she does know him, but doesn't want to let on because he plays a huge role, or else he is so insignificant that she doesn't remember him, in which case the BBW (big bad wolf) theory is shot.
Had a sick day yesterday and watched every episode and I LOVE the show! My biggest problem is that they really need to throw in some bigger wins over Victoria. I suppose they have to draw it out to make more seasons but c'mon (this is me whining).
I don't wish Graham could come back but I do wish they could give me - I mean - Emma some eye candy.
I am in shock! Not just with who was the big bad wolf, but also with what Ruby and Emma found and whose fingerprints were on it. Man, this show just keeps getting better and better!
Another amazing episode tonight. Loved the twists and turns in the show. Did not see the big bad wolf thing at all.

Yeah, that was pretty disgusting. :(After watching Grimm though, it was pretty mild compared to some of the grossness that is the awesomeness of that show. :P
I have a theory about why Snow's print are on the box, I think it might have been the box that was suppose to hold her heart from the woodsman (the former sheriff). We already know he deceived the queen and was near Snow when he had the box.
The question though is, who's is it now?

....and not in the good way either. Poor Red.

That is exactly what I told my husband. I said that is the box that the Hunstman brought to the queen with the animal heart in it. That evil bitch.
Glad I am not the only one that thought about that Michelle! We know it is a human heart though so I wonder who's? Any guesses?
I guess it could be the wife but I am not sure it is.
I wonder if it is Graham's????I know we saw her smoosh it and all but I really want him back.
Wishful thinking on my part - magical resuscitation.

It's actually pretty decent...
and the eye candy doesn't hurt it. At. All.
