I've got a question about the letter X. Am I really going to have to search for a book with a xylophone or x-ray (how many romance novels have THOSE? LOL) on the cover or can I be creative with words like explosive or extravagant or excessive?

Lisa, just for clarification purposes... Can we use two words for a letter.... Such as "Blue Sky" for the letter B?
Sure can Hayley :-) Lisa's got some examples in Post#1 with 2- and even 3-word descriptions for a letter, so think we should be fine to continue that. Susan, thanks for clarifying about the letter X. That was going to be impossible otherwise!

RLftCI: "Z-A Cover Art Image Search ~ 2012"
I love bookcover art!
I’ve been long tempted to add a bookshelf (stolen from Shawna) entitled ‘i-am-a-bookcover-ho’. Consequently, I love Cover Hunts and for 2012 we will do an ‘Z-A Cover Art Hunt Search’.
What do you see on the following bookcovers?Certainly “moon,” “skimpy little black dress”, “dripping tree moss”, and “thigh-high boots”, but what about the “fog” ? Could it also be “vapor,” “mist,” “precipitation,” “smog,” “miasma” ... I guess that depends on which letter you need to satisfy.
The ones I liked from 2011 came from taita -- “damn fine body” & “nubile gentleman” -- and CaroB for suggesting “explosive pyrotechnics” instead of “fireworks” for Notorious Pleasures when I had already used the “F” for “fog.” She also used “reptilian duo” for the The Dream Thief cover. Clever girl!
Here are the rules. Needless to say, you may ask for help! ☺
Duration: One year – indicate your start date. However, don't start until January 1, 2012.
Goal: Read one book for each letter of the alphabet. So, a different “cover image” must be chosen for each letter. State the image you have chosen for each when you list your books. For the letter x, you may use a word with x within it. (Thanks, Susan, for pointing this out. ☺)
Rules: You may post your books in advance or as you read them. Edit your list as you read or re-posting with each update. You may use re-reads. You may use any format: paper, e or audio. You may use books from any genre. Anthologies are fine, if you read all the stories. Please indicate how many you have read related to how many you plan to read.
You DON'T have to read in reverse-alphabetical order ー we just like to do things backwards in this group; therefore, I posted them that way below for you to copy - just for fun.
