Guys has anyone heard of this book 'Knights of Iris' by Kasandra K(ong) or heard of her in any case? She has written a book before that titled This is My Story and just asking if anyone has read it. IMO the writing isn't very well written. I'm pissed most of all with the frequent use of ellipsis and horrible punctuation (like the need of capitalizing every single word she types 'Like This'.), and that only scratches the surface. Wait till you see how she (or anyone in the book) preaches in the story. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy the book if you want to save your money on better books than these.

I'm asking; does anyone has a copy of 'Knights of Iris'? 'cause I don't feel like wasting ~S$23 for this piece of mediocre trash that cut down so many previous trees where they can be put into good use instead.

Staying on topic, I'm currently reading What's Left of Me by Kat Zhang. It's been a long time since I picked up a book that keeps me thinking and intrigued for its originality and good pacing. I'm still at the first single-digit chapters, I'll continue once my exam is over tomorrow. Borrowed some books at the national library as well, including Chosen from the House of Night series (not a very well-put series but that's an understatement) Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier which I have been wanting to complete reading for months and a Agatha Christie novel that I'm trying out just for fun (and also to learn something from the great mystery masters to write mysteries in my upcoming webnovel series).

Hi! Personally, it's just that the story is going really slow for me. Plus, I'm new to classics. I may need time to adapt to this genre. If you're a fan of classics, you should give it a try :)

I just finished Joyce Maynard's Labor Day. A good and compelling read but the lack of active dialogue (intended by the author) makes me unable to feel for it completely. Am reading Virginia Woolf's To The Lighthouse...and it is an incredibly challenging book to absorb.

Just finished Carry On, Jeeves in the P.G.Wodehouse series, quite a good read if you're looking for British humour.
Going back to the classics now with The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne - hopefully the 1800s doesn't put me off!

I just finished the Millennium series and I loved it to bits. I guess it's because of my personal interest in journalism that made the series even more special to me.

It's been a long while since I last picked up a book and couldn't put it down for hours.

On to Haruki Murakami's Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman. Couldn't get my hands on the Mandarin translation; keeping my fingers crossed that the English translation would be close enough.

Just finished a classic - Pride and Prejudice Was surprised by how much I liked it. Maybe it's time I give classics a second look.

Anyone into pop psychology/behavourial econs? I started to read Shillers Irrational Exuberance, which is based on the paper that won him the Nobel Prize this year. Confirms pretty much the thesis that investors and humans are crazy.

I'm also looking for new sci fi titles. Big fan of Sanderson but any other good new writers out there?

Me! I enjoy pop psychology, but find it hard to find good recommendations. Is Irrational Exuberance a book u will recommend?
