Hey Cassandra You're Awesome! You're one of my fave authors and idols in the writing and celebrity world. (Stephanie Meyer is one of them too!) I love the mortal instruments as much as I love the twilight saga books nad movies (I'm Team Edward and Jace/ team bella/clary lol). I'm excited for city of lost souls and the city of bones movie. ( I think that the casting choice for jace and clary is awesome! I love Jamie and Lily!). I also look forward to reading infernal devices. My question is what inspired to write the motal instruments and the infernal devices and what kind of music do you like. (I like all kinds epcially metal, dance, gothic music, rock. I also love pop and opera). Also I'm excited for city of heavenly fire. Keep up the great work!
When you finish the Mortal Instruments saga and The Internal Devices trilogy, what's next? Are you planning on writing something completely new, or continuing writing in the shadowhunter world? I'm hoping the later:)
Hey Cassandra! I *LOVE* your books. q So my question is, where did the idea of the shadowhunter world come from?
q And also, do you ever base your characters on people you've met in real life? Does that work for you, or can you not get the actual person (in reality) out of your head?
Hey Ms. Clare! You are in my top 3 fav YA authors, and I LOVE The Infernal Devices! My question for you is that aside from The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments what other book are you planning on writing? Others in either series, the Shadowhunter world, or just other things you want to write. Thank you so much!
Hello, I love the both of your series and can not wait for the next books. I was curious as to why Alex and Jem seem to look so much alike. Will you aslo give us a small sneak peak at the City of Lost Souls and/or THe Clockwork Pricess? If not, I understand.
Hello Cassandra. Let me, firstly, tell you this. YOU ARE AMAZING! It's the kind of books you write that inspire me to become an author.
q Hi Cassandra, I wanted to ask why did you decide to write 3 more books in The Mortal Instruments series? I preferred (and not just me) for the series to stay a trilogy.
I don't know if you know Skulduggery Pleasant but it is also one of my absolute FAVORITES!! Your humour, passsion, drama and action make these books pull together to make a mide-bobboling series of books. I LOVED Clockwork Angle and can't wait for Clockwork Princess to come out. Esecially if it's as good as the past few books!
So here is my question... What inspired you?
Sorry, I have another question. Where do you come up with your humour? Like I said, I'm writing a novel and I'm hoping to have little bits of Hilarious Humour in it. can you help me out please?

Ms. Clare, you are my favorite author. I read every book in the Mortal Instruments series and Clockwork Angel in a week. :) Majorly addicting. I can't wait to get Clockwork Prince!
Hi Cassandra--I was just wondering a couple things. First off, I absolutely adore Jace and Clary and I also got to know Tessa better in the Clockwork Angel. My questions would be: Will the Infernal Devices and the Mortal Instruments characters somehow...I don't know, collide? I don't mean time-traveling, I mean like really really actually collide? That's the one thought that's been nagging at me. Actually, you probably won't answer that question and give me a traditional non-answer, like 'you'll just have to wait and see.' So I shall ask a different question: when you imagine Jace, Clary, Izzy, Alec, Simon and the whole gang, did you ever think of giving them accents? Like Jace is Irish and Clary's Irish and Izzy and Alec have British accents and Simon has a New Jersey accent or something?
How did you come up with all the family connection between Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices? And random question what is you favorite type of pie?
I have only read the first 2 books in the Mortal Instruments series, but City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, and Clockwork Angel are all getting read before the year is over! I LOVE YOUR BOOKS (so far, at least!). Anyways my question is: do you have plans to write other books that aren't related to Shadowhunters in the future? I absolutely love the Shadowhunters, don't get me wrong, but I also think I'd like anything you wrote about, haha! :D
What does Jem think of Victorian London so far removed from Shanghai? Will we get to see excerpts from his perspective in the future?
Hello Mrs. Clare. The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Device are simply amazing and breath-taking. Do you have any other books not related to shadow hunters planned? Whats the scoop on the City of Bones?
Tessa and Magnus's relationship...being the only static people in 200 years....whats it like? Will we see more of it?
Cassandra, what does your average writing day consist of? How much do you aim to write in a day? Do you drink much tea/coffee or listen to music while writing? And also, do you have any routines such as going for a walk in the morning before you begin?
Hi, Ms. Clare, I really love your works and I am excited to be reading the next clockwork book! My question is, have you always been a fan of the steampunk genre? If so, why? Thank you!
The Infernal Devices series is one of favourite... primarily because the characters are SO much easier for me to relate... Extremely excited for Clockwork Prince.
Q : Cassandra, it's clear you have an amazing talent in writing! What has been your favorite thing in writing The Mortal Instruments series?
Cassandra, when writing your books, is there any other difficulties you come across apart from writers block and how do these difficulties effect your writing?
Q: Do you like any characters more than others? What kind of scenes are your favorite to write? I just finished Clockwork Prince, and I'm completely Team Jem. He is so amazing. Also, do you know when the cover for City of Heavenly Fire will be released? Thanks!
q: Will The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments interconnect. As in, will either the characters from these different books become aware of each other/mentioned? Thanks! (One of your fans)
Hi Cassandra! You're an amazing writer and my inspiration! Q: Is There Another Series Called The Dark Artifices Expected To Come Out Also Involving The Shadowhunter World? Thanks!
q What inspires you to write something as majorly complicated (and as majorly addicting!) as the COB series? And by the way your books are the kind that inspire me to become an author :)
Q: I've loved the books ever since they came out. I have several questions. For one I'm team Will all the way. In City of Glass, we see Tessa talking to Magnus. Is there going to be more of Tessa in the Mortal Instruments? Question number 2 is that most people think Will is Jace's great grandfather...can you confirm that? Or is it possible he has a different relation to him other than a direct line?
Hi! I love the MI series and was just wondering when (if) there are going to be any excerpts or sneak peeks for City Of Lost Souls.
Is this book series based off of any experiences you have gone through in your life or are the characters and their personal traits based on anyone that you know?
I LOVE your books, Cassandra! q I want to be an author, do you have any suggestions on how I should write a book? What do you use to write? If you've read manga, what is your favorite one?

Hey, Cassandra! I am a big fan of the Mortal Instruments as well as the Infernal Devices! My friend just got Clockwork Prince yesterday and now I am dying to read about what happened! While I wait for City of Lost Souls, of course~ ;) I'd like to ask about some scoop for both series - the more the better of course - and about how can one get over writer's block?
Q: Hey Cassandra! I adore the TMI and TID series, and all the characters in them <3<3 Just wanted to ask, which character is the most fun to write about in both series and why? Thanks!
Hey Cassie!! I love you so much!! and I wanna know... did you visited London to write the infernal device series?
Hi Cassandra Clare! I literally just finished Clockwork Prince and it was definitely one of your more heartwrenching books, but I loved it. My heart breaks for the characters and I love how real they are. q: What is the hardest thing about writing the Infernal Devices and the Mortal Instruments? Are there scenes that break your heart to write, or were there endings or characters that were particularly tricky to write? Thank you for all you've written, I love your books and they inspire me to write.
