Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I was very excited to see you all using the trip mapping feature this way - really great idea :)"
Hi Peter and welcome! Speaking for myself (though I'm sure many will agree), I thank you for creating the site! Just being able to actually "see" the journey has added an all new layer of excitement.
BTW, Australia is my first stop!

It uses the same blogging platform. You can certainly start your own one and it will link up with your map, providing the dates of your entry match up to the dates on your map. You could also just add notes to each stop if there's not a huge amount of text.
The Book Club blog is a collaborative blog just featuring book reviews.

Excellent! I see you picked a David Malouf book. I love his books :)

No itinerary, going as I wish, picking up books as I find them.

Yeah, Pragya was close ... It means something like - am not going to worry how life is going to turn out, am just going with the flow... The actor in the song is a very famous and an old Hindi actor who just passed away. (Here's a link to that song itself)
Here's a link I found online for the translation and it comes close.

Sorry to be pedantic but wouldn't you be a reading vampire then? And thanks to Stephanie Meyer, belonging to that bloodline (haha!..."
Sigh. To think of all the things Meyer ruined for us... While reading Cassandra Clare, I was struggling to not compare it with the Twilight series, and that might be why I decided to not go ahead with either Mortal Instruments or Infernal Devices...

Hi Peter, sorry if we're squatting but your site is much better than the Google Trips function.I have started a blog on your site aswell and posted my first review!

If you like, you can send me a private message on Travellerspoint - this is my profile: http://www.travellerspoint.com/member... and I can then set you up with access to the book review blog.
The Tumblr blog looks great! It's great for bringing together things like this.

It did that to me yesterday for a while and then it made the change I wanted without my realizing it at first.

This will be my first time reading him so I'll let you know what I think. At a closeout sale a few ago, I also picked up a book of his short stories, [Book: Every Move You Make]. Peter, perhaps you might give recommendation for other Australian authors that you like. There is an Australia folder under recommendations I believe.

Hm. I'll try again tomorrow...I set up my blog but don't want to write a first entry until I have my map working. I decided to start with France after all, with the Count of Monte Cristo. But my map doesn't reflect that (yet).

Now there is an Australia folder under recommendations. I started it for you, Peter, so that the folder would be visible.

Now there is an Australia fold..."
Thank you, Anne!

Marieke, I found that the map will not reflect stops until you have at least a leg. Choose a second country and then it will show up. I was having the same problem.

I'll add some Australian authors. Plenty to choose from :)

Thanks, Peter! It was only with the map...I had no problems tinkering with my profile and blog template. Also...I have a MacBook. No idea if that is part of the problem. :S

Awesome, Pragya! I hadn't figured out how to do that yet.

Great idea!

AH. Found it. For anyone looking, go to someone's map, click on the person's name until you get to profile and then you can add them.

for anyone who wants to friend me, here is the link to my map for this challenge (my user name is armchairista): http://www.travellerspoint.com/member...
i also made a map for my personal capital cities tour which may overlap with 52 a little bit. i made a complete map for Capital Cities, but i have to change it so i think i will delete almost everything and build it as i go. it's fun to see the maps grow! :D

Here's mine. It does look a little bit like my 5 year old niece designed it...

Thanks!

My wife works at a library - I'm going to mention this to her and see if they can't do something similar.
On a side note, we also have a book review blog that a few of our members contribute to. We link it up with Amazon and any money that it makes goes to our Foundation, which in turn lends that money through Kiva. http://thebookclub.travellerspoint.com
If any of you are interested, I'd be happy to open it up for you to post reviews there.
