Are those two sentences connected?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Philip you just got me in trouble! My boss didn't like me laughing that loud when I am supposed to be working.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Lmao!

I was gonna say something about a curtain party but after Phil's comment I'm laughing too hard.

message 404: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments I'll tell you what. When I get to 5000, we'll all go to where Steve hangs out. How's that?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Better ask him if thats ok.

message 406: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Right, I'm officially browned off. Sales are in a slump and I can't think of anything funny to write. Humph!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Have you forgotten about Jumbleliar?

message 408: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Have you forgotten about Jumbleliar?"

Nope, but that's ages yet.

message 409: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Don't you just feel like rushing on to the Amazon forums some time and yelling "I don't care, I can't read anyway!"?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Me? no. But if you want to try it I'll hold the cloak for you!

message 411: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You could an illiterates thread and type unhgfvbtf.

Then run away.

message 412: by Harrison (new)

Harrison Davies (harrisondavies) | 186 comments I've not had a sale in 3 weeks...not that it's important, but it makes you wonder if it is the time of year.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Everyone is trying to pay for their summer holidays?

message 414: by Harrison (new)

Harrison Davies (harrisondavies) | 186 comments That's what I thought lol..but i have been blessed with some amazing reviews of late, so they compensate.

message 415: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Lawston (andrewlawston) | 1774 comments I've only been in this game for six weeks, but I've noticed sales seem to come in clusters. This week... well, let's hope I'm about due for another cluster.

But as I make a whopping 25p per book, an amazing review is always a lot more gratifying than a single sale.

message 416: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Not just me then! You know what they say about misery loving company ;-)

I'm excused superlatives, Patti. Sound like extra strong laxatives ;-)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Teehee. I almost typed out something rather scatological.

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Situation in which you would really like a Cloak of Invisibility: Waiting to catch a bus to Dolgellau at the weekend for our annual walking weekend. Driver asks the four of us "Do any of you have a bus pass?" I guess our group title of "The Lads" is really not fooling anyone anymore? Have a look below and see what you think! Ho hum.

P.S. I've now updated the photo so it our group photo from this year. Be afraid, be very afraid...

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Well, thanks for looking. Clearly it was such a traumatic event that no-one felt able to comment. I believe there is counselling available.

The one with the beard :)

PS I wanted to comment but you don't have the option for name and website so I couldn't or I would've.

message 430: by Philip (new)

message 435: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Right, after x number of posts without causing so much as a ripple on the Goodreads consciousness, I'm getting back into my cloak. If anyone calls, tell them they can't see me.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Hey, where has Philip gone? I could have sworn I heard him say something...

message 437: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Go on then, amuse me!

message 440: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Thought I better pop in and change the water in Phil's bottle and give him some fresh pellets.

I should change the wood chips too....

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Yes and pat him on the head a few times just to show we haven't quite forgotten him...

message 442: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I would but he's hiding in his wee cardboard tube.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments No Simon? Or has he been flushed? ;)
