Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Just checking the old cloak - yep, seems to be working fine.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Why is there a blank post here? That was a waste of a click.

message 105: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments No worries, GL. I'll delete it.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Must make sure everything's tidy here.

message 107: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Humph! I'm not upset you know, just a little hurt

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm sure I can hear something. Sounds like someone crying... wonder where that could be coming from.

As Phil isn't here - maybe we should have a party in this thread instead of his Granny's place this evening...?

:0)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments he's over on the Marmite thread rubbernecking!

message 115: by [deleted user] (new)

Or licking the marmite off of the tarmac....

:0)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments If we're having a party there will be no mormite.

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

Definately not! Nasty stuff! *shudders*

:0)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "If we're having a party there will be no mormite."

I was once told, when I refused the offer of rice pudding, "A man who doesn't like rice pudding has no soul". I guess I feel the same about Marmite (see the Marmite thread, where I'm putting my foot down)

message 119: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments rice pudding is gross, so is marmite. Neither will ever be at any of my parties

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments How about a conbination of the two?

message 121: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh well *shrugs* guess I've got no soul then...

:0)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Karen (Kew) wrote: "Oh well *shrugs* guess I've got no soul then...

To be honest, I quite like rice pudding. The problem was that this one had a thick skin on it, and I can't stand that at any price.

message 123: by [deleted user] (new)

Rice pudding is fine! I have no marmite soul!

:0)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "How about a conbination of the two?"

Now you're just being gross. It's people like you that put chilli in chocolate ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Chilli in chocolate is fine, so is sea salt! What really did for me was the mushroom chocolate I saw in america.

message 126: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I like chilli in chocolate havent tried it with sea lt or indeed mushroom

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I liked the sea salt one - try it and see.

message 128: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments You've persuaded me GL I will do.

message 129: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments No,no,no - it's an abomination to put anything with chocolate other than fruit or nut. Oh, and possibly Turkish Delight.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Turkish delight is very badly named. There is nothing whatsoever delightful about it.

message 131: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments turkish delight?! are you crazy? Oh yes... I forgot we have established that we are all crazy.

I don't like turkish delight. Honeycomb and caramel are extrememly acceptable accessories for chocolate in my opinon.... Yum especially with bubbles

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Mint Aero...mmmmm..mmmm...mmmmmmmm...

Well, the Cadbury version is quite a long way from actual Turkish Delight. I forgot coconut of course.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ginger. Anything is better with some ginger in it.

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "Ginger. Anything is better with some ginger in it."

Ah yes, chocolate ginger biscuits perhaps? Not forgetting the best of them all, plain chocolate digestives.

message 136: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I don't like mint though - it just makes things taste of toothpaste!

message 137: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments the aero caramel is delicious, although not big enough

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Ignite wrote: "I don't like mint though - it just makes things taste of toothpaste!"

Not Viscount biscuits then?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Thorntons Viennese truffles anyone?

I'm not aware of their work.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments You are really missing something Philip - get down to your nearest Throntons shop right now!

message 144: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I always get a bag of them in my stocking at christmas

message 145: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oooooo back home the Girl Scouts sell chocolate covered sandwich cookies with a minty cream filling. So good! At least they did. Havent had any in years.

message 146: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Now coffee flavoured anything - cake, biscuits, chocolates - I'm there. All except actual coffee which, bizarrely, I don't like!

message 147: by Philip (sarah) (new)

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments Oops and I made you a coffee yesterday Ignite. Is that why there was steam coming from the aspidistra!

message 148: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I left it to go cold Sarah, then watered the blueberries with it! I'm not so rude as to refuse a kind offer.

message 149: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments steam coming from the aspidistra!

Oh my! I'm howling with laughter!

message 150: by Jud (new)
