Why don't you drop a link in your author thread?"

I'm not sure if I've done this right! I now seem to have a Facebook author page with a Goodreads link on it?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Went on to your profile, and the first thing I saw was 'Philip Whiteland likes Philip Whiteland'. Glad to hear that....

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Can you give me the link to his page please GL?

I'd like to like him too.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'll do that when I get home as I can only get Facebook on the Tablet in work and I don't know how to do it from there.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments So it is! Thanks Phil!

Rather exclusive at the moment. Cozy. Just the three of us. ;)

Lovely photo, by the way.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments We'll have to do up the decor and have a page-warming party tonight.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I can see you all!

message 221: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments If you want to see a classic example of invisibility, go to the 'Hoot Your Horn' thread on Night Reading and see what happens when I promote my recent review ;-)

message 222: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I would if you'd post a link to it....

That really is a lovely review. It's nice that Amazon is posting them across sites now.

It is a good review, isn't it? I'm very appreciative of anyone taking the time and trouble to do this. As you say, it is handy that Amazon are now sharing reviews across the sites.

message 227: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments It's actually got worse on Night Reading. For a laugh, I posted a comment that said "Was it something I said/didn't say ;-)"...and they ignored that too!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments They are too busy talking about automated editing. Lazy sods!

So it would appear, GL. I don't pretend to understand it.

I don't know how well that lot are doing, but I would be willing to bet that I've sold more copies than a number of them

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Of course Philip. We all know you're a writer on the level of Tolstoy. (I was going to say Dostoywhatever but I can't be bothered to look up the spelling)

Ah no, I don't think so. However, I think on Night Reading it's not about how many you've sold but whether you are a 'writer' in the eyes of the rest of them. I don't think I qualify ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Would Tolstoy?

message 233: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "Would Tolstoy?"

Possibly, at a push (or Pushkin)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments So don't let them pushkin you around! Do not ask for whom the bell tolstoys, but rejoyce in your abilities.

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "So don't let them pushkin you around! Do not ask for whom the bell tolstoys, but rejoyce in your abilities."

True, but Dostoevsky know about it?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments He's turning in his Graves.

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "He's turning in his Graves."

Not as Hardy as he should have been, then?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments What the Dickens do you mean by that?

message 239: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Gingerlily (lovable author) wrote: "What the Dickens do you mean by that?"

You would Kafka ask someone else.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Is that any Hemingway to talk to a lady?

message 241: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Asimov, it doesn't matter ;-)

message 242: by Philip (new)

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments Further to my hissy fit about Night Reading above, I'm pleased to say that Gerry McCulloughhas restored my faith in human nature and responded. No-one else, mind you, but it's a start ;-)

Thanks Gerry.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Philip wrote: "Asimov, it doesn't matter ;-)"

Are you going out Wooding and Fielding?
