A Secret Seeps Out
How do authors think of an opening line for the first book they write? Until I wrote my first book, I don’t think I ever thought or even cared how they came up with something snappy or enlightening. But first lines of books have become famous. Think of ‘Pride and Prejudice’ or Graham Greene’s ‘Brighton Rock’. Well the blog gives you one idea of how it happens. Rather embarrassing really.
