Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I didn't mind the Dreamy story, but the real world story. I'm really sick of the way MM is being treated by the townspeople, really, no one ever had an affair, and why isn't David ostracized when he's the one who lied? This just pisses me off.
And Whatever-his-name-is-in-the-real-world-Grumpy, having the hots for a nun? Talk about unattainable and begging for a broken heart. That was just stupid.

message 202: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments David not being ostracized is the double standard that society tends to create.

message 203: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Not any more. Or at least not where I live.

message 204: by Holli (new)

Holli I just finished this last episode and I agree with you Christine... I thought it was a very sweet story. Bittersweet and sweet. Poor Grumpy! I loved his story though.....

message 205: by Holli (new)

Holli In the end though the lady in the square lit MM's candle so I'm hoping that's the end to her being ostracized like that.

message 206: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I hope so because it's getting on my last nerve.

message 207: by Kelley (new)

Kelley (kheckart) | 456 comments Maybe it's the curse that is making everyone miserable. I don't like the double standard either, but maybe it's part of the EQ's curse on Snow White--to have everyone hate her and she can't escape it.

message 208: by Holli (new)

Holli Once Upon a Time | Securing scoop from the show bosses on the Stranger aka August W. Booth, they’re especially elusive. Heck, they wont even say if he’s genuinely crushing on Emma. “He seems to be operating on an agenda,” notes EP Eddy Kitsis, “so the interesting thing is to ask is whether those feelings are real or not.” Kitsis will confirm this much, though – August did in fact add pages to Henry’s storybook, “for a very, very specific reason.” (And I myself will offer this one piece of intel regarding August’s trustworthiness: In the diner scene of this Sunday’s episode, pay close attention to the lemurs.) Speaking of new men in Emma’s life, EP Steve Pearlman says the March 25 episode featuring the Mad Hatter (played by Gossip Girl‘s Sebastian Stan) “is quite a big one for Emma. She comes into contact with a new character in Storybrooke who starts her onto a bit of a different journey. And by the end of the season, we will get Emma to a place where she has to make some decisions about her future.”

Lots of surprises. (view spoiler)

message 211: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Yes I love the twist with Red. Makes you wonder about Ruby.

At first I was thinking the heart was the huntsman/previous sheriff but EQ crushes that didn't she.

I was thinking the same thing but I think it was wishful thinking on my part.

And now I am wondering about Ruby too????

message 213: by Becky (new)

Becky | 186 comments LOVED this twist, not something I saw coming, on both fronts. Such build up!

message 214: by Kelley (new)

Kelley (kheckart) | 456 comments I liked this episode a lot. Loved the twist with Red. I also thought that Grandma was the wolf.

Did anyone notice in the previews that Snow White may have killed or tried to kill someone? That she might have had a dark side. Maybe her prints were on the box with the heart because it was something done in the Fairy tales.

Nice. I caught the preview but didn't even consider that MM would be guilty because of it. Very possible, since many things echo in the real world.

Becky | 186 comments Kelley, GREAT THEORY!

message 217: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Interesting episode with the Mad Hatter. Not sure what to make of it. So I guess he is still on Storybrook somewhere? Plus that makes 3 people that knew about the curse, 4 if you count Henry.

message 218: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I'm thinking the veiled Red Queen is EQ's sister. RQ seemed jealous with the Hatter mentioned EQ. Sibling rivalry?

message 219: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments I was a little confused with the timeline of this one....was this before or after EQ killed her father? And why/how did Queen of Hearts have what I assume was his heart in a box?

message 220: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Before EQ killed her father, I think. Once EQ killed her father she was able to do the curse and they all came here. I'm pretty sure she did the curse right away. She wouldn't have been able to play around in Wonderland.

I didn't think it was her father's heart in a box, I thought it was the person she loved and lost. I don't know why I think that, I just do.

message 221: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Jackie wrote: "I didn't think it was her father's heart in a box, I thought it was the person she loved and lost. I don't know why I think that, I just do. "

Huh? But her father is who appeared when she put in the mushroom or whatever it was.

message 222: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I must have missed that part. Well, now that makes sense. But why did the RQ have his heart, EQ is the one who took it.

message 223: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments That is how Jefferson/Mad Hatter got left I. Wonderland. The rule of the hat (or the looking glass) was as many people had to come out as went in. Jus as they got to the lookig glass sight the box EQ drops in the mushroom and her dad appears and Jefferson realizes he has been given the royal shaft.

Jefferson is then taken to QOH where she chops his head of, he survived, and tells him to make another magic hat and he can leave thus the reason he obsessively makes hats.

But as I originally asked, is this all before or after EQ killed her dad herself. And if this is before, then what happened to the poor guy this time?

message 224: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I'm not sure when it is. If it was when EQ killed him, how did the RQ get his heart? And if it was RQ who killed him, then he has some bad luck, lol
I'm sure we'll find out eventually.

message 225: by Becky (new)

Becky | 186 comments My question is also timeline related, when does this fall in the story of when the queen married Snow's Father etc. Here father was at the palace with her so when did he loose his heart in the first place? Also isn't that the same memorium that she had the hearts in when she took the woodsman's heart? and that's in story brook? I don't think we are done with the Queen of Hearts yet.

And my hubby had an interesting idea that the "stranger" August is actually Henry grown up...

message 226: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Very cool idea about August and Henry.

message 227: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Wow. Interesting theory about August. But wait didn't he ask Emma on a date?

There is no way that is the last we will see of Q of H. She was too creepy of a character to not bring her back.

message 228: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Roxy wrote: But wait didn't he ask Emma on a date?
Ewwww...so much for that theory...unless he did it just to throw everyone off his identity.

Def more of RQ (Q of H)

message 229: by Holli (last edited Apr 01, 2012 08:01AM) (new)

Holli I loved the Mad Hatter episode!! I thought they did a great job explaining why he went Mad and I love that he's trapped in Storybrook and he knows about the curse.... so interesting... and now he's "on the loose"! We don't know where he might pop up nex there.

The Queen of Hearts and the Red Queen are actually two different characters in the true story of Alice in Wonderland. Some adaptations combine the two but in this show they said Queen of Hearts and as far as I know she doesn't have a sister. Of course, that doesn't mean they can't invent that relationship on this show and having it be EQ would be PERFECT. The Red Queen's sister is the White Queen.....

I thought while watching that the Wonderland story was before EQ killed her father. The Queen of Hearts must have killed him and kept his heart at some point prior to our knowledge on this show to piss of EQ and so EQ went to go get it. She got his heart back, fed him a mushroom from Wonderland, and brought him back to life. Then after all this happened it went downhill for poor Henry with his daughter.

Interesting theory about August! Maybe it's Henry (EQ's father)...... I've often thought that.... and maybe because he's dead he's able to come and go from Storybrook. Just a random thought in my head. LOL

message 230: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Thanks for the clarification on RQ and Q of H, it's shorter to type that's why I was using RQ but I'll just use QH from now on.

I remember reading in one of the articles you posted that August is not Henry's father and he's not the author of Henry's book. It said Henry's father won't be revealed until much later in the series, in any case.
Why wouldn't Emma recognize him if he's Henry's father unless he was masked and raped her, there's some evil stuff on this show but I don't see that being a possibility.
I like the idea that August is dead so he can come and go.

message 231: by Holli (last edited Apr 01, 2012 04:36PM) (new)

Holli Jackie, I keep thinking August is Henry (the Evil Queen's father)..... she named her son Henry after her father. Sometimes I think that maybe August is EQ's dad come back in another form......

message 232: by Holli (new)

Holli have I mentioned on this thread before that Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas are dating in real life?

message 233: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Aw, they are a cute couple.

There'd have to be some explanation as to why August/Henry Sr changed bodies before I can go with it.

message 234: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments A couple of comments I want to make before reading the new comments. I'll forget what I want to say if I read the other stuff first so forgive me if I am repeating someone else's comment.

1. Sheriff Emma - I am soooooo tired of her being dooped. It makes her look so stupid and I thought she was craftier then that. I really don't like her being Sheriff. I'd rather their be a really trust worthy sheriff who actually knows the law and Emma deputy. Yes, like it was briefly before the other sheriff was killed. If nothin else, Emma needs some staff, deputy, officers, something.

2. Regina's Pre-evil Queen backstory: wow quite interesting. Regina was actually nice. Her mother was horrible. Almost makes you disappointed in Regina for becoming an EQ.

3. Young Snow: WHO WAS THAT ACTRESS?!! She looked so much like Gennifer Goodwin that it made me wonder if she was her daughter or sister!

4. August/ Henry Theory: I started to climb on this theory, even though I mentioned before that I thought August asked out Sheriff, but then I realize August has very blue eyes, Henery has hazel-green.

message 235: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Just read the other new posts and I have one more comment
1. Who is August? - I don't have a theory BUT we do not know if he can leave StoryBrook. He arrived but never left as did Emma and I thought there was one other character who "came back" I want to say Catherine. I believe new people can come to SB but they cannot leave.

message 236: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments #1: I know! Emma is so pathetic for believing any of these people. For a girl who supposedly has trust issues, she trusts everyone she meets in Storybrook.

#2: Regina's mother, what a bitch. But Regina wasn't nice deep down, how can she hate SW so much. SW was a kid, what she did was out of love, how was she to know BigBitch was lying?

#3 Bailee Madison, she was on Wizards of Waverly Place and a few movies.
What I liked best about her performance is that she matched her cadence to the way MM/SW speaks. Excellent casting.

message 237: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Jackie - yes I too was annoyed? Didn't buy it as "realistic"? Disappointed perhaps? By Regina blaming Snow rather then her mother. She knows how her mother manipulates.

That little girls cadence and facial expressions were spot on!

message 238: by Becky (new)

Becky | 186 comments My hubby and I said the same thing that actress was GREAT. I also wonder if August can leave, he was in pain when they went back to the bridge looking for clues? pain cuz he left and came back, or because he can't leave again?

message 239: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments Pain maybe because he was getting close to the border of StoryBrook.

message 240: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I noticed August and his ankle but I didn't put it together like you ladies did, thanks.
How close is the bridge to the border? MM and David had no problems being there.

message 241: by Robyn (new)

Robyn (roxy_nj) | 2775 comments It's my assumption that it is the border.

message 242: by Kelley (new)

Kelley (kheckart) | 456 comments I had the same feelings about the level of EQ's anger at little, innocent Snow. She was just a little girl that got duped by the bitch mother. Poor thing. I felt so bad for her. I, too, was taken by how much the actress looked and acted like Mary Margaret.

message 243: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments EQ's anger is so obviously misplaced. It'd be one thing to feign hatred for SW just to lull her mother into complacency then kill her, but I can't understand a true hatred for SW.

message 244: by Kuki (new)

Kuki (goodreadscomkuki) | 163 comments I was surprise at how mad she was at SW the anger should have been towards her bitch mother.

message 245: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments I guess EQ is just as messed up as her mother.

message 246: by Becky (new)

Becky | 186 comments Roxy wrote: "Pain maybe because he was getting close to the border of StoryBrook."

Could it be that he had left, and came back,or isn't supposed to be there in the first place so the pull of the "real world" is strong? It also could be that mm and James didn't feel pain since they weren't intending to leave?

message 247: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments August wasn't intending to leave when he was helping Emma at the bridge.

message 248: by Holli (new)

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4961 comments Makes sense.

message 250: by Holli (new)

Holli It really does! It wasn't something I had thought of either..... I'm also wondering if he is the young boy who found newborn Emma on the side of the road.....
