I'm so out of touch with movies. Trying to read all the fantastic new author's novels on here which gives me little time to remind myself of the classics. So many great books out there and so little time to read them all.

Marla

At any rate, I've spent nearly two decades living among the Inuit people of Arctic Canada. (Most people still refer to them as Eskimoes but they consider the term an insult.)
Because there isn't a whole lot to do, I find time to write, despite long working hours and raising three kids. However, the oldest is 17 so that helps a lot; it seems I've done something right, after all. :)
Life has not been a bed of roses. The life experience I've had in spite of living a rather quiet life should have me placed at 80 years of age instead of 39. However, it provides great fodder for writing and, now that I'm shedding all the ghosts of the past, I can embrace the future even more than in the past.
An Affair to Remember is the first of several books I intend to write. Truth is, without the written word, life would be rather mundane. You could actually check out a little more about the book and its series by visiting Freedom in Love.

Its a book of prophecies about the world, the economy, disasters and wars and terrorists > give us a shout if your interested > thanks :)

this is a response to the hello thread, yup my name is Eamonn and I'm also a writer. Today I went to a workshop and wrote two short pieces - one was about murder and the other suicide - but I'm a happy go lucky kinda person - what's the story?

LOL. I often write on subjects which have no relevance to me, on a personal level. I don't quite get it myself but it's interesting, to be sure. :)

I haven't seen a new movie in awhile. Of course, we watch the children's videos over and over and over again. Did you know Thomas the Tank Engine has some pretty good family values. The books are shortened forms of the movie/shows. That's been my latest book/ movie connection.
Have a great one.

Cesar, I would love to help you out but, I'm already back-logged on books I promise to review.
Hope someone else can help you out.

This is the debate in the meaning of individual in science fiction. This is why time travel is fun. There are all these wonderful philosophical definitions to present. That's MY job. I got handed it because I could do it. It is the most raving idealistic, fun stuff I could make it, for women like me, real smart and comic books came with too little story too far apart.
I write sexy superheroes, real sexy, for smart women. I don't write like anything in print. If there wasn't something missing, I wouldn't have understood when asked to write. The journey through 20 years of a real smart woman's heroic fantasies is an interesting one. I'll be 65 next month.
You are the voyeur, the eye that beholds. It is the most familiar form of getting a story in this time, dialog. The narration is designed to stimulate holistic visualization. Women read it faster and men slower than other styles, because they visualize differently, physiology. There is a minimum reading speed. It's built for very practiced readers, to read several times. There was something missing.

In the not too distant future a young woman bears witness to the end of her world.
Earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions rock the planet, reducing cities to smoking rubble, burying entire islands and coastlines beneath cataclysmic waves.
Religious fervor and human evil erupt and entwine, becoming a maelstrom of madness in the days after, bringing with it the horror of apocalyptic war.
As a population in the depths of despair struggles to overcome insurmountable odds, can a single glimmer of hope flare into a beacon for the survivors?
This is her tale…the world is ours…and now, it’s STORY TIME.

Linell, what an outstanding blurb for your story! I actually read it twice. I'd love to review this book though I'm not sure I would be able to get to it this week. Wow! This is a story line I've never attempted to read before but you definitely have me curious.

Another busy day on the threads. It's really great to see everyone sharing personal stories and novel blurbs :-) As previously mentioned, I happily read and review for everyone, but my TBR list is ridiculously long (months). I try to return reviews first, and even that list is over a month long. That said, email any personal requests to tim@greateastdevelopment.net, and I'll do my best to help :-)

I'm sure you've updated everyone on the Amazon thread recently, Nel, but I've been wondering how the new store is going? I have two of my novels coming out in paperback late this month, and when they do TJ will be sending you copies of three different titles :-)

Hi, Arthur. I purchased Johnny Oops quite a while back, and it's slowly working its way through my TBR list :-)

'Hope you have a great Sunday, MM. I see your Amazon sales are holding up better than mine. I had my best first week of the month ever, but the last few days have dropped right off for all my titles. I did just sell my first Kobo title and learned that something like 60 free copies of THE SHAFT were downloaded on Barnes and Noble, which did not result in any sales uptick (one of the reasons I stopped giving out free copies of "Bones in the Tree.")
"Bones in the Tree," was downloaded something like 365 times on Smashwords in its first week, and only a few of those people (whom I knew) left reviews. The downloads didn't noticeably increase sales either, but maybe I would have needed to let the experiment go on longer. I'm always interested in hearing what is or isn't working for everyone else. Our mutual experiences may likely be the ticket to increasing our position on the sales lists :-)

I'm glad to hear you're pleased with your store progress. I think TJ is thinking of providing some stores with self-standing displays for either floor or counter. I know space is always the issue, so I'll have him touch base with you, either way, before he sends anything your way :-)

I'm excited to say Rob Ellis is currently working on my second book trailer :-) For those of you who haven't seen it, my first one is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z05VBz...

Hi, Norma. On the busier threads, it's sometimes just easier to check in and scroll through. Many of us monitor threads that get hundreds of hits a day, no way could we survive under that onslaught :-)

I just finished and reviewed Diana Hockley's "The Naked Room." It's a unique novel in that it's told through first person POV for many of the main characters. The story definitely ratchets up nicely, too :-)

Thanks, mama!
