Aestas Book Blog lol, anyone else in love with the SHOUTY CAPITALS ? :p

I found the email exchanges (especially the 'subject' lines and signatures so adorable!

Cindy I loved everything about the book. I especially loved the SHOUTY CAPITALS and the Twitch Palm references. The humor between Ana and Christian make them seem like a real couple. Two young adults falling in love for the first time. awwww

Teri I could not get enough!!! Had to read the books again (something I never do right away). LOVE LOVE LOVE this series.

Cyn Mistress Kitty LOVED both of these books. Can't wait for the next one. I enjoyed reading their emails, it kinda made me feel like a voyeur. ; o

Isabel No shouty capitals on Monday! happy monday everyone

KarenH "Laters, baby."

That was my favorite.

Berenice flores i loved this books!! these are the first books i have read from this genre. Any recommendations to read next?

Aestas Book Blog Define "this genre" lol. *squee-worthy romance" or "erotic bdsm" ?
Lol well I don't have other erotic bdsm stories but I could recommend Beautiful Disaster as another pretty awesome romance. Travis is quite the "bad boy you fall in love with but really shouldn't ". Id recommend it. But, I've never read anything that even touches Fifty's awesomeness so don't have equally high hopes. But it's an awesome heart touching story

Aestas Book Blog Haha oh and btw I totally second the Fever series. I can't believe I didn't think of that myself but Jericho Barrons IS actually a fair bit Dom now that I think about it without the bdsm element.

Vera I’m so in love with Fifty and his shouty capitals, at last someone helped me forget Jericho, and it was really really hard :)

✿ℎazℯℓ - thℯ ℛock Cℎick ℱairy✿ not only the shouty capitals.. i love the whole series! its a different book.. totally unique for me. I envy Ana! i want a Christian of my own.. awwwww =)

You should definitely read

Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and the sequel Effortless by S.C. Stephens
Both are excellent and you might love Kellan Kyle as much as Christian Grey. Oh...and this would be squee-worthy romance.

Berenice flores i didn't get any sleep last night! i could not put Beautiful disaster down!!! i loved it!! great recommendation.

karenH, i'll just added Thoughtless to my list! sounds great! thanks.

Aestas Book Blog Glad you liked it :)
Don't know if you are interested, but I've been sorta following a blog (link below) for a while - the person writing it seems to have a thing for *squee-worthy* romances... Its where I was first introduced to Fifty Shades and Beautiful Disaster. She has all kinds of links to 'what to read next' and all that you may be interested it.... I personally really like her taste in books so maybe you will to. Its worth checking out :)

Aestas Book Blog oh and another heart-wrenching (HEA romance) book is Finding Home by Bonnie Dee and Lauren Baker.
Warning: it has some content involving male prostitution and some underagge sex (well, he's like 2 months shy of 18 and she's 23 so its not that bad really) but the story is extremely sweet, heart breaking, heart warming and leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Kay The email exchanges was a very clever touch. I really enjoyed the banter back and forth. One of the best series I've read in a very long time. Flawless even if a little dark.

Aestas Book Blog ,Having just ordered my hard copies of both Fifty Shades books, I just finished re-reading them for the second time all the way through, I can say that these are honestly the first books in a long time that even after re-reading them, I feel like I could start again at page one. I don't even feel like I can start another book lol. I only want to read more Christian and Ana. Aaaaargh! They are TOO good!! Jan 19th can't come soon enough.

Berenice flores Too true aestas!!!

Cyn Mistress Kitty I read that this is the final book since it is a trilogy. What am I gonna do then? : ((

Aestas Book Blog Yes. It is supposedly the final book :( I think we are all going to be in serious withdrawal after...

I wish she'd keep writing. I'd love to read about a baby FiftyAna... Can u imagine Chtistian dealing with that? Aww lol

Seriously though, I'll be happy so long as she ends the story with an HEA. That summary for Fifty Shades Freed is NOT very reassuring :/

Cyn Mistress Kitty I would also love to read about a fifty baby. Christian would be an awesome daddy. Also, I want to read about all the other characters in the books.

I work in a junior school and have adopted the term'SHOUTY CAPITALS' when trying to get the kids to use expression!

LM Completely obsessed withthese books keep re-reading them and probably will continue until the 3rd book is out. is good and bad because its the las one. I as well would love to hear more on a baby christian and more on the other characters.

message 29: by LM (new) - rated it 5 stars

LM I would also love to hear on another book how maybe christian helps ana evolve she's got some issues as well and maybe they can elaborate on that as well as with a baby :)I

Cyn Mistress Kitty There could be a number of books about all the characters. I too hope we see Ana's evolution.

SandiegoSuzanne Countdown to Fifty Shades of Freed. Release date is January 19th.

Aestas Book Blog sooo... on E.L's website, the words that describe Fifty Shades Freed are: "Seductive, shocking, sad and funny" ... um what about happy???? those words make me a little nervous

Ack!! I wanna hibernate until the 19th!

Rachel Firasek I adored this part too! So original. Loved it. :) Can't wait for Freed! Aestas wrote: "lol, anyone else in love with the SHOUTY CAPITALS ? :p

Carrie (Loving Evan Matthews) Ayd I love the shouty capital !! I love the way he would add something to his email signature based on a previous conversation/email. Besides all the erotic issues they encounter and the fact that they dont speak to eachother like 20 somethings, This just makes them an adorable couple !

Carrie (Loving Evan Matthews) Ayd SandiegoSuzanne wrote: "Countdown to Fifty Shades of Freed. Release date is January 19th."

I can't wait !! I should have paced myself and read slower in anticipation but I couldnt put the first 2 books down !

Naomibrooksnaomi Brooks ME I LOVE SHOUTY CAPITALS,I LOVE THE EMAILS IN THE BOOKS SO FAR REALLY CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK SO EXCITED HOPING FOR LOTS MORE SHOUTY CAPITALS AND KF AND VF LOL

Beautiful disaster doesnt even come near the "Fifty" series.

Travis didnt get me to fall in love with him,but did a pretty good job of earning my loathing though.

I think we wont get to see that in the last book.

Christian needs some more time with his shrink before he should even think of having children (love him though) and Ana specifically stated she wanted to wait with having children too.

But happy accidents will happen.

Here are some suggestions if youre looking for a darker hero.

message 48: by AJ (new) - rated it 5 stars

AJ I'm surprised that Alexander Barrington is included in the 'darker hero' group. I don't think he's dark at all! Hot, most definitely, but not dark.

I DO LOVE MY FIFTY THOUGH, IN ALL HIS SHOUTY CAPITAL GLORY! Seriously, those emails are brilliant!

I have to agree that Beautiful Disaster doesn't come near the Fifty series. Don't get me wrong, I did love it, but still... not as good.

The only CR books I've ever read that are even remotely close to making me 'feel' as much for them is this series by SC Stephens Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and Effortless by S.C. Stephens . I adored them! So much it warmed my heart, broke my heart, made me laugh, made my cry and has a happy ending.

But still... DOESNT HOLD A CANDLE TO FIFTY!!!! (in shouty capitals) ... and I dont really think anything ever will

oh... and back to the Fifty topic, I LOVED the emails from book 3. <3 <3 <3

message 50: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 22, 2012 12:47AM) (new)

AJ! I LOVE that line! I also love the "Mr. Grey" and "Miss Steele" conversations.

By the way, we're having this same discussion over on the TBH thread. I keep ranting on about the distinctly similar possessiveness of Christian and Alexander.
