I love romance books,especially the books that also have a strong family premise behind the story, which is the type of books which I write. I wish that I had time to read more often than I do. Since I also write novels which happen to be romantic, I have to find the time for both reading and writing. Now that the following book is published, I'll catch up on some reading! This is my first electronic reading club...I'm looking forward to it. I love romance novels with a twist. My favorite authors are Linda Howard, Julie Garwood, Suzanne Elizabeth Phillips, Suzanne brockmann, Julie James and Diana gabaldon. I've read every book these authors have written and need to pick up a few new ones.

As Kat said you can read any genre books for our challenges (although we do encourage romance of course ;). We end up going in so many challenges that the 'new' challenge is to double-up as many books as possible!

Hey Ya'll! I'm Becky, a newbie to Goodreads. I LOVE reading and romance (especially historical) is a favorite genre of mine. I dabble in writing, but haven't published, but I'm hopeful.

My hubby gave me a Nook for Christmas and I'm working toward filling the memory, although I do miss having books on a REAL shelf. Lol! I look forward to making new friends and reading buddies!

I read as much as I can, which isn't much being a SAHM. The nice thing about my smut novels, is that I can usually get through one in less than a week if it isn't attention grabbing, and a night if it is good.

I am a closet smut reader; meaning, that not many of my friends or family know that I read them. I am still kind of timid about letting people 'know'. lol.

I have 2 kindles, and a ton of romance novels hidden in closets, dresser drawers, under cushions, under the couch, and in the crock pot. Ha! I am looking forward to meeting a few of y'all.

Just joined and I'm trying to find a book I read years and years ago (~1991 or earlier) and I'm not sure if Danielle Steel is the author, but I think she is. I think the main character was a wealthy disturbed woman named Sloan(e?) who lived in a big city (NYC?) and was addicted to anonymous sex...she'd lock eyes with a stranger and he'd follow her to some secluded spot and they'd have a quickie (can't believe I read this when I was a young teen but that's what comes of volunteering at the local library!). Anyway - this is where I might be mixing two books - but as I recall she ends up in Mexico or South America and pulls this routine with a matador. They end up having a sordid affair and he becomes physically abusive. Eventually she escapes back to America to...her husband? and maybe she's famous because I think there are paparazzi at the airport when she returns. Anyone??
