Island Beneath the Sea just didn't quite make it for me. I liked most of the story and thought it was interesting about the revolution but I thought that she tended to be long winded in places.

I liked The Dead Travel Fast even though I am not much for the vampire books. This one was an interesting story line.

Enjoyed it. Felt it lacked a bit of background depth but I went to Wikipdeia to fill in some questions about the period.

I loved the Godfather movies! I could only imagine how good the book is! It is just such an intimidatingly huge book...

Have been in Paris and New York with MJ Rose and The Book of Lost Fragrances, She's a fellow writer on fragrance, and she did a great job on the fragrance portion of this thriller mystery. Scent of Triumph is in Paris, too, as well as London, Poland, and Los Angeles, in the 1940s.

Currently reading The Alexandria Quartet set in Alexandria, Egypt before the outbreak of WWII. I've nearly finished the third book, Mountolive. I will be sad to get to the end - it's not the easiest of reads (particularly the first book - Justine) but one of the best books I've read - ever.
