I must turn back to Russian literature, I have withdrawal symptoms! So I started reading a collection of stories by Anton Chekhov.

Now I'm reading

I thought To the Nines was one of her best, too. My favorite, I think, is Twelve Sharp.

I am always in Russia but I like it!

That is a nice remembrance :)

I love Russian literature, too. There are so many books I want to read by Russian authors.

Just finished Coincidences by Maria Saava. It's very good. Now I'm reading Pao by Kerry Young. It's about a Chinese man in Jamaica.

Next I'm going to start reading a Stephanie Plum book:

Right now, I'm a couple of chapters into

It's so LONG!! But I'm already read 1/3 of the book, so there's a change that I will finish it some day.

It is VERY long, but so worth it. It is one of my all-time favorite books.

I have read volume 1 and 2 and now I have still to read volume 3 and 4.
It is really a wonderful book and I suggest it to everybody interested in Russian history. I have read till now about WWI and the October Revolution but from the point of view of the Cossacks so it is different from the other historical books full of dates and famous names. Here we live it from the point of view of ordinary soldiers, torn away from their land in order to go to fight. Everything is so human and real and Sholokhov is a neutral observer, you can't sympathize for one side or the other, both are wrong and right and both sides kill for their ideals. Wonderful!

I really want to read The House of Riverton. I'm still reading Tidewater Inn by COLLEEN COBLE.It takes place in Va. Beach on Hope Beach.
I need to make a list of the books your reading.

Thanks.. I think I will finish it too before December. I'm half way of the second book and it won't seem to be a impossible dream to finish it.

They're making another movie of it? I liked the one with Liam Neeson and Uma Thurman from a dozen years or so ago. I read the book for the first time last year during a week at the beach. I pictured all the characters from the movie when I read it. It is one of my all time favorites.

Another one of my favorite books!
