A Feast For Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, #4) by George R.R. Martin (buddy 4th in series read) start date September 7th

66) Margaery is definitely having fun with Cersei. Do you think Cersei is going do lose it soon?
67) If Cerei's daughter ends up scarred from her injury to the face, do you think she'll treat her differently?
68) I think the Iron Bank will retaliate in some way, but I don't know how. Anyone else thing so?
69) I also think Cersei is going down. Soon. Do you think Martin's done almost all he could with her?
70) Cersei practically confessed that Robert isn't her sons father when she said jousting was in Tommen's father's blood.
71) Do you think Margaery is as dangerous as the Queen of thorns?
72) Dear goodness poor Sennelle. Cersei is awful! Is Qyburn the one that lost his chain because he liked to slice up live people all in the name of study?
73) Thoughts about Rhaeger's rejection?
74) Interesting how when we looked at Jaime's thoughts we ended up liking him. This is not the case with Cersei. What do you think would be a fitting demise for Cersei? Do you think Tommen will survive till the end of the series? The end of the book?
75) Now Cersei is going after Bronn and puppeteers. She's a crazy nut bunny hopping down the nut bunny trail.
76) Thoughts on Ser Hyle? I can't figure out if he likes Brienne or not. Could that whole contest have been a ruse to see if she liked men at all? Boost his ego because she turned him down or does he just like playing with her?
77) Do you believe the Hound survived? I don't. If it's not him who could be masquerading as him?
78) Do you think that Arya's wolf is amassing a force for her? Why have the two been separated for so long?
79) Any thoughts about Meribald?

39. I think Cersei is truly losing it. She’s going to be Nut Bunny 2. She has lost her son and father, and essentially she has lost the twin brother she was in love with. She is completely paranoid and (rightfully) trusts no one. She keeps flashing back to Maggy the Frog who told Cersei a more beautiful and younger queen would take her place and take all she holds dear. Cersei thinks this could be Margaery, but it could also be Myrcella. I hope it is Daenerys! Do you think Lady Merryweather is telling the truth about Senelle spying for the Tyrells? We know that Tyrion didn’t poison Joff, yet Lady Merryweather testified she saw Tyrion do it. Is someone paying her or is she just out to gain Cersei’s favor? (apologies if this is a rambling post.)
I think Senelle is not spying. I think they are positioning themselves and Cersei is falling into the trap. I agree Cersei is becoming a nut bunny and I'm also hoping Dany is the woman in the prophecy.
40. Do you think that the Tyrells were justified in wanting Tommen and Margaery to sleep together? I think it’s odd, given there’s no way they’re going to consummate the marriage. What purpose does this serve? Merely symbolic?
No! There was no reason. I think it odd to.
41. Oh, looks like we may have a Hound sighting. It’s definitely possible that he still lives. I think Cersei is right to fear his return.
Me too, but I think he's dead.
42. The end of the chapter finds Cersei linking arms with Kettleblack and gleefully watching the tower burn. Do you think she intended this as a direct insult to Jaime? Also, does she seem crazy to you or is it just me?
What if someone is spiking her drinks with something to make her paranoid or delusional? Just a thought. I think it was to hurt Jaime for not doing what she wanted. She's like an overgrown child.
43. In The Soiled Knight’s Chapter there appears to be the beginning of a war between those who want Myrcella as Queen and those who want Tommen. Which child do you believe has the greater claim to the throne? I was surprised Arys let his manhood rule his brain when he agreed to stand for Myrcella. His love for Arianne appears to be genuine, but I fear she is playing him like a Stradivarius. I don’t even want to try to speculate who in Westeros will stand for Tommen and who will stand for Myrcella.
I think Tommen has the better claim according to the ways of Westeros.
44. OK, so it took a long time to sink in that Randyll Tarly is Sam’s father. I am a little slow. After witnessing how brutal he is when dispensing his justice, I have to say it must have been very difficult for Sam growing up, and also, how could Sam be related to this guy? Perhaps his mom had a honey on the side? Hey, it could happen! I love your thought. Gosh, you aren't slow I didn't realized it either.
45. Brienne has proven herself capable of taking on the role of knight. Why is Tarly so against it? Do you suppose he is threatened by her?
Maybe he's a woman hater or a male chauvinist pig?
46. I was really getting tired of Sam’s puking and Gilly’s sobbing. Finally we are told the babies were switched (way to go, Lisa Kay!!). I can completely sympathize with her now and I felt bad for being annoyed at her. So, Jon switched them so that Melisandre would not kill sacrifice Mance Raydar’s baby, but how can he condone any baby being killed sacrificed? Not sure I follow the logic in this one.
I don't either. I'm not sure what I think of Jon now.
47. Any speculation on how Randyll Tarly will receive Sam, Gilly and the baby? I hope Brienne befriends them somehow.
That would be nice if Brienne and Sam met and worked together.
Questions for Chapters 16 (Jaime) - 19 (The Drowned Man)
48. Ser Kevan doesn’t appear to know of the discord between Cersei and Jaime; do you think knowing that would make a difference to him in his attitude toward Jaime? Is there a liaison in the making there?
It's hard to say. Seems like a dysfunctional family all around. It might have helped if he knew.
49. Jaime doubts Tyrion’s words about Lancel and Cersei but not about his killing King Joffrey. Is that frustrating or what?
50. Why would Bronn, now Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, have Lollys’s child named Tyrion? Was this his smartest move, considering? Does he still have some loyalty toward Tyrion, or is he just thumbing his nose at Cersei?
I think it was in response to him not being named Tywin. Maybe it her response hurt Lolly so it was his way of getting back at the queen, plus I think he liked Tyrion.
51. What is with having the large skull of Ser Gregor cleaned by beetles before it is presented to Prince Doran in recompense for the murders of his sister, Elia (wife of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen), her child Prince Aegon, and Prince Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper? To obscure any dissimilarity? If the leeches that were put to Ser Gregor died, why were the beetles able to eat his flesh?
No idea.
52. Which Queen will Taena Merryweather ultimately side with: Cersei or Margaery? Why would Cersei let her know about her scheming with Ser Osney Kettleblack after Jamie warned her she is Margaery’s spy?
Margaery. She's not thinking properly or thought she could use her to feed false information to Margaery.
Maybe no one is perfect? To humble him? Not sure.
54. Where do I begin with Cersei? I guess I’ll follow Sandy’s suit, and go with more rambling questions about her: Which of her decisions will bring her downfall? Selecting Lord Qyburn for (her) small council and thinking him oh so clever? Appointing Ser Harys Swyft as (her) “hostage” Hand? Overindulging in drink, especially at small council meetings? Underestimating Jaime’s ability and making fun of him? Ignoring the “sparrows” invading King’s Landing? Thinking one High Septon will serve as well as the other? Not becoming involved in the politics of the Vale? Believing House Bolton would settle for half of the north after being promised the whole? Not paying the Iron Bank or the Faith of the Seven their due? Giving command of the royal navy to Aurane Waters, a man of questionable background and not exactly known for his fidelity? Counting on Lord Walder Frey’s death before it happens, or that his family will fight among themselves once he is gone? Believing a White Harbor alliance can be so easily achieved? Planning to assassinate Jon Snow by way of Ser Osney Kettleblack? Or ignoring the rumor of dragons?
She's not smart enough to rule. She's too full of herself.
55. You impression of Victarion? Would he have made a good king? Was he justified in beating his wife to death? Should he have thrown his support behind his niece, Asha? Can he forgive his brother, the Crow’s Eye, Euron; accept and honor him as the king to sit in the Seastone Chair?
Hard to say. He did kill his wife. Was he justified in killing her - no. Asha is a wild card. It's hard to say.
56. What did you think of the kingsmoot? I actually liked Asha’s speech and she almost swayed me to her side. Alas, her nuncle, the Crow’s Eye, Euron, won the day. Think there will be dissention in the ranks?
I liked Ahsa's speech too. I don't like Euron.

57. Okay, I’ll admit confusion. Why did Dick Crabb (Nimble Dick) take Brienne to Whispers, the ruined castle on Crackclaw Point, if he knew that he had conned Shagwell, Timeon and Pyg by selling them a map to that local? Wouldn’t he have expected their wrath? Or did Dick really believe Shagwell was that much of a fool – and inept to boot? He couldn’t have expected them to actually have found smugglers in a cove that hasn’t been active for over 30 years. I don’t get it.
I was puzzled too.
58. Were you proud of Podrick or what? Throwing stones at Shagwell – ha! I’m glad he is with Brienne. Oh, well. Might as well not get too attached. If I like him, he won’t last too much longer.
I was proud of him. He's a good kid. That's the second person he saved. Remember Tyrion.
FYI – I had to get the characters for “The Queenmaker” chapter straight and admit I consulted Wiki Ice (I inserted some clarifying info):
• Arianne Martell (eldest daughter) expected a marriage match that befit her rank as a high lord's heiress.59. The BIG questions are:
• Instead, her father, Prince Doran, publicly entertained suits from various elderly lords such as Lord Walder Frey and forbade more attractive matches to high-ranking heirs such as Ser Edmure Tully and Willas Tyrell (crippled eldest son and heir of Lord Mace Tyrell).
• Prince Doran's apparently humble marriage plans for her, coupled with the vague misinformation put out by him regarding her brother's location, brought Arianne to the conclusion that her father intended for her dutiful younger brother, Quentyn, to succeed him, passing over Arianne entirely.
a) What will happen to Arianne now? (Assuming Areo Hotah is in her father’s employ. As captain of Doran Martell's guards, he arrested the Sand Snakes on his orders…so it stands to reason he remains his loyal servant despite any fondness he has for the "little princess" – as he affectionately calls Arianne.)60. What do you think of the “kindly man”? Does he have Arya’s best interests at heart? He keeps asking who she is; when is she going to ask who he is?
Thanks Lisa Kay for the info. I don' know.
b) Who was it that told of her plans? Was he/she present at the ambush?
I think it was Arianne who found out from Arys. Did I get them right. Too many new names that sound like the old.
c) Where is Arianne younger brother, Quentyn? (Not to be confused with disgraced former maester Qyburn, in Cersei’s employ.)
Hiding?
d) What is the extent of injury to Princess Myrcella? Is she really Princess Myrcella or is she Rosamund?
I think it was princess Myrcella who got injured because Arianne new who was who. I think Myrcella was the one yelling 'NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!' and she got sliced in the face for it because they didn't think she was the princess. My question is how disfigured will she be?
61. Did you think for even a second that Arya would toss Needle into the canal’s water?
I thought she might leave, but wasn't certain what she'd o.
62. Okay, confused again. I didn’t understand the story about the firewyrms, nor the part about “Will I be like her?” “No,” he said, “not unless you wish it. It is the poisons that have made her as you see her.” What does emptying a stone flagon into the water of the black pool have to do with anything?
It must have had poison in it? Don't know.
63. Arya, as Cat, is now to be more than just an acolyte. Will she learn not only how to detect lies, but change her face while in the House of Black and White in Braavos? Will she have to take poisons to do so? Pretty handy skills, those. Whatever will she do with them?
It sound like they'd have to do something do prevent her from having kids. All that talk about she can't do both - create and kill or some such talk. I can't recall directly.
FYI – Something that stumped me – and I had a heck of a time finding it on Wiki Ice – is who is Bronze Yohn (the one who asked Alayne/Sansa “Do I know you, girl?”)? Besides being one of the signatories of the Lords Declarant he is:
• Lord Yohn Royce, better known as Bronze Yohn.64. What is going to happen when “Alayne” runs out of hair dye?
I just thought he asked because she knew him, but maybe you're right?
• Lord of Runestone and head of House Royce. He is sworn to House Arryn.
• He has a set of bronze armor, thousands of years old, that is inscribed with runes that ward him from harm.
• He has three sons, Andar, Robar and Waymar, all knights.
• He came north with his son, Waymar, when his son joined the Night's Watch.
• He was defeated by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen at the Tourney at Harrenhal.
• He stayed in King's Landing, participating in a boar hunt with the king, a boar hunt which killed Robert I.
LOL I don't know, but color usually stays for a month or two.
FYI – Pertinent facts on Ser Lyn Corbray from Wiki Ice:
• He was one of Lady Lysa Tully’s suitors; he also stayed with her at the Eyrie for half a year after Jon's death.65. "Gold and boys and promises…" Just what are Littlefinger's “promises”? Does this mean Littlefinger might swing both ways – if it benefits his plans? Or, since House Corbray of Heart’s Home is a noble – if poor – house did he conspire with Littlefinger mainly for gold?
• Ser Lyn offered himself as a champion for Lady Lysa on Tyrion Lannister's trial by battle, stating that he was the surest sword there.
• He is notoriously not interested in women.
Well Littlefinger did own a brothel so I'm sure he knows all kinds of dirty little secrets.

66) Margaery is definitely having fun with Cersei. Do you think Cersei is going do lose it soon?
I think Margaery is playing a dangerous game. Cersei can still be lethal. It is funny to see Cersei so vexed, though!
67) If Cerei's daughter ends up scarred from her injury to the face, do you think she'll treat her differently?
I would hope not. I do believe that Cersei loves her children above all else.
68) I think the Iron Bank will retaliate in some way, but I don't know how. Anyone else thing so?
Yes, this will come back to bite her.
69) I also think Cersei is going down. Soon. Do you think Martin's done almost all he could with her?
I actually hope Cersei prevails against the Tyrells. If she loses to them, I hope she is not killed off. It would be interesting if she ran away/went into exile a la Arya. Perhaps she would be humbled and we could learn to like her. I enjoy the scenes between her and Jaime. She's one of those I love to hate.
70) Cersei practically confessed that Robert isn't her sons father when she said jousting was in Tommen's father's blood. Oh, my that was a close one!
71) Do you think Margaery is as dangerous as the Queen of thorns? Yes, and I think she has learned from the best.
72) Dear goodness poor Sennelle. Cersei is awful! Is Qyburn the one that lost his chain because he liked to slice up live people all in the name of study? Is that what he was doing to her? *shudder*
73) Thoughts about Rhaeger's rejection?
Rhaegar didn't actually reject her (I don't think). Arys said that his son couldn't marry the daughter of someone who served him. I think this deeply affected Cersei and has shaped the horrible woman she has become.
74) Interesting how when we looked at Jaime's thoughts we ended up liking him. This is not the case with Cersei. What do you think would be a fitting demise for Cersei? Do you think Tommen will survive till the end of the series? The end of the book?
I began to like Jaime when he began to suffer, so I think I would like Cersei more if she had to suffer somehow. I hope Tommen survives to the end of the series.
75) Now Cersei is going after Bronn and puppeteers. She's a crazy nut bunny hopping down the nut bunny trail. Now this could prove to be very bad for Cersei. Bronn is no fool. He will know that there is a plot against him and he will get out of it and/or retaliate. It would be exciting if he somehow meets up with Tyrion again as Tyrion's protector.
76) Thoughts on Ser Hyle? I can't figure out if he likes Brienne or not. Could that whole contest have been a ruse to see if she liked men at all? Boost his ego because she turned him down or does he just like playing with her?
I think the contest was the men being ignorant jackasses and having fun at Brienne's expense. At this point, I believe he respects her and wants to help her.
77) Do you believe the Hound survived? I don't. If it's not him who could be masquerading as him?
I believe he survived but I don't believe he is killing innocents.
BTW, is the Stoneheart with Beric Dondarrion really Catelyn??
78) Do you think that Arya's wolf is amassing a force for her? Why have the two been separated for so long? I've really been wondering about Nymeria. Is she the great she-wolf that Meribald refers to?
79) Any thoughts about Meribald?
He appears to be good-hearted and out to help the ones who can't help themselves.

#42 - Spiking her drinks? Yes, that could very well explain her erratic behaviour. I hadn't thought of that!

66) Margaery is definitely having fun with Cersei. Do you think Cersei is going to lose it soon?
I thought it was super fun to see someone go toe to toe with Cersei (mostlye because of how much it annoys Cersei). The best part is that Cersei can’t be blatant about the fact that she dislikes Margaery (as opposed to Tyrion, who she never bothered to hide that about) because the city loves Margaery and Tommen does too.
67) If Cersei's daughter ends up scarred from her injury to the face, do you think she'll treat her differently?
Cersei is super protective of her children. Lena Headey (the actress who plays her) even said that about the character in an interview, that she's a mother and she'd do anything for her kids (maybe it was at ComicCon, I can’t remember). So I think seeing what happened to Myrcella would make Cersei more protective and more dangerous.
69) I also think Cersei is going down. Soon. Do you think Martin's done almost all he could with her?
I never liked Cersei. I mean, I like getting chapters from her POV because it gives some insight, but I’m so done with her.
70) Cersei practically confessed that Robert isn't her son's father when she said jousting was in Tommen's father's blood.
I think her slip just goes to show that she’s cracking. She seems more vicious, more paranoid. I think the Tyrells are getting to her.
71) Do you think Margaery is as dangerous as the Queen of Thorns?
Probably not. But I think the Queen of Thorns taught her a thing or two.
73) Thoughts about Rhaeger's rejection?
GRRM is trying to get me to like Cersei. It’s. Not. Working! …Okay, I feel a little bad for her.
74) Interesting how when we looked at Jaime's thoughts we ended up liking him. This is not the case with Cersei. What do you think would be a fitting demise for Cersei? Do you think Tommen will survive till the end of the series? The end of the book?
Burn her at the stake because she's a witch! I’m not a violent person, so I don’t know what sort of demise I’d like for Cersei. All I know is that poison is too good for her. Unless it’s a really painful, slow poison that takes like a week to kill you. (Is that creepy? It seems creepy and scary now that I’ve typed it out)
Poor Tommen! This kid has no idea what he’s in the middle of! I sort of think he has to die. Well, this is assuming the end game is having Dany on the throne. Either way, if the Lannisters don’t keep the throne, then Tommen has to die. Otherwise, in like 10 years there will be a fight for the throne again.
76) Thoughts on Ser Hyle? I can't figure out if he likes Brienne or not. Could that whole contest have been a ruse to see if she liked men at all? Boost his ego because she turned him down or does he just like playing with her?
I don’t think the contest was a ruse. I think the men were just being cruel and maybe Hyle feels a little bad now. Maybe he’s trying to see Brienne for who she really is.
77) Do you believe the Hound survived? I don't. If it's not him who could be masquerading as him?
The Hound! How I miss your crazy interactions with Sansa! It’s definitely not the Hound running around though. It’s not his M.O. He was becoming a better person, and whoever is running around as the Hound now, is definitely worse.
78) Do you think that Arya's wolf is amassing a force for her? Why have the two been separated for so long?
The fact that Nymeria and Arya have been separated for so long makes me so sad. But, she’s like Arya. She’s not a victim and she takes her fate into her own hands. I think Nymeria is amassing a force, which could be awesome when they're reunited if that means Arya has control over all the wolves in Westeros or something.

66) Margaery is definitely having fun with Cersei. Do you think Cersei is going to lose it soon?
Yup. Big time. This is a woman the edge.
67) If Cersei's daughter ends up scarred from her injury to the face, do you think she'll treat her differently?
Goodness, I hadn’t thought of that, but yes. Sadly, we learned that true with her treatment of Jamie.
68) I think the Iron Bank will retaliate in some way, but I don't know how. Anyone else think so?
I agree, but I don’t know how either. They are going to be pissed they are not getting their money.
69) I also think Cersei is going down. Soon. Do you think Martin's done almost all he could with her?
Yes, she’s going down, but GRRM will think of something else for her; he’s not done. I wonder what else Maggy the Frog predicted?
70) Cersei practically confessed that Robert isn't her son’s father when she said jousting was in Tommen's father's blood.
I know! LOL. I’m sorry, but I loved that slip. Too, too funny.
71) Do you think Margaery is as dangerous as the Queen of Thorns?
Hmmmmmm. She’s getting there, but she doesn’t have the life experience. I hope she can hold her own against Cersei.
72) Dear goodness poor Sennelle. Cersei is awful! Is Qyburn the one that lost his chain because he liked to slice up live people all in the name of study?
I think it is terrible, especially that Cersie “doesn’t want to think about it”! She is such a heartless, callous b!tch. Yes, Qyburn is up to something. I think he is experimenting again.
73) Thoughts about Rhaeger's rejection?
Wow. I always thought Jaime was the “love of her life” -- but now we find she was yearning for Rhaeger. It was King Aerys II who didn’t agree with Lord Tywin’s proposal that Cersei and Rhaeger should marry. This and Aerys’ appointing Jaime to Kingsguard w/o consulting Lord Tywin caused him to resign as Areys’ Hand. Still, I don’t think Rhaeger was enamored with Cersei; maybe he had good tastes, maybe she was too much of a child.
74) Interesting how when we looked at Jaime's thoughts we ended up liking him. This is not the case with Cersei. What do you think would be a fitting demise for Cersei? Do you think Tommen will survive till the end of the series? The end of the book?
Yes, I noted that and wondered if I was just giving added indulgence to Jaime b/c he is a man; however, I feel he has changed for the better, while Cersei is just get worse. I think she should be beheaded. Wow, I don’t know why but I hadn’t thought of Tommen not making it to the end of the series. I think he might make a fair enough king – if removed from Cersei’s clutches. I don’t know what GRRM will do with Tommen. Poor little guy. Now that I think on it, and since I like him some, I figure Martin will do away with him. See how cynical I’ve become?
75) Now Cersei is going after Bronn and puppeteers. She's a crazy nut bunny hopping down the nut bunny trail.
You are right. I don’t know why she is off on this tangent.
76) Thoughts on Ser Hyle? I can't figure out if he likes Brienne or not. Could that whole contest have been a ruse to see if she liked men at all? Boost his ego because she turned him down or does he just like playing with her?
I don’t like him or trust him. I think what he and his friends did was cruel and he’s not changing his strips now. I don’t like that Brienne is even with him.
77) Do you believe the Hound survived? I don't. If it's not him who could be masquerading as him?
Neither do I. I don’t know who it is, but I’m betting it isn’t the Hound.
78) Do you think that Arya's wolf is amassing a force for her? Why have the two been separated for so long?
I do think so! I don’t know why, unless she still has more to learn to b/c the leader she can be. Or whatever destiny she is to fulfill.
79) Any thoughts about Meribald?
I found his story interesting; an object lesson. At first I wondered who he really was – if he is in disguise. See what this book has done to me? But I don’t know.

#39 – I didn’t think Senelle was spying – which makes her fate at Lord Qyburn hands all the more despicable.
#40 – Pillow talk, I’m telling you! Powerful stuff that. Bed time stories and all that. I don’t think anything kinky was going on – or intended. Just an opportunity for some “alone time”.
#42 – Spiking her drinks! Wow. I hadn’t thought of that. If so, who could it be? Maybe Tyrion put it in something medicinal of hers before he was imprisoned?
#44 – Yeah, Randyll Tarly being Sam’s father – that took me awhile too.
#45 – Mind Meld! :-)
#46 – I still trust in Jon Snow!
#47 – Ha! Only in our dreams will Brienne & Samwell join forces. That’s too good an idea, and would make me happy, so Martin won’t do it.
#50 – Wow. I hadn’t thought of how Lolly would feel about Cersei rejecting her baby being named Tywin. If Bronn was doing it to get back at Cersei for that, I say good for him.
#51 – I don’t think it was Ser Gregor’s skull. Does Lord Qyburn still have him alive in his torture chamber? Was The Mountain That Rides’ body big enough to withstand the poison of Prince Oberyn’s spear? The more I think on it, the more I wonder.
#58 – I do remember that Podrick saved Tyrion!
#60 – Princess Myrcella sliced in the face? Oh, no! But you could be right.
#63 – I only vaguely recall the not having kids part. And I’m not going back to re-read. Drat it! At least, I hope not, LOL!
#65 – How could I forget that he owned a brothel? **Lisa Kay sighs and shakes her head at herself**

#66 – Very dangerous.
#67 – I wouldn’t count on it.
#68 – I agree!
#69 – I do love to hate her. I don’t think I’ll ever like her. We’ll have to wait and see.
#70 – LOL!
#71 – Ditto!
#72 - **shudders also**
#73 – I didn’t think about it shaping her life, but now I think you are right, Sandy!
#74 – I don’t think her suffering will change my mind about her. But maybe. I do find myself shaking my head at her pathetic, paranoid Nut Bunny decisions now.
#75 – Whoa. Okay, sounds good to me.
#76 – Ah! We disagree. :o) Great!
#77 – I don’t think it is the Hound, but I also don’t think the Hound survived. Yes, I believe the “Stoneheart” with Beric Dondarrion is really Catelyn.
#78 – Great she-wolf = Nymeria. I believe so!

I found his story interesting; an object lesson. At first I wondered who he really was – if he is in disguise. Se what this book has done to me? But I don’t know."
Oh yes, maybe Varys????

80. Why is Maester Aemon so adamant about knowing more about the dragons? Is this just senile curiosity? Or does he know or seek something more?
81. When she first spoke up, did you suspect (or hope) “the girl” – Cat – outside the Cattery brothel was Arya?
82. Dareon! Another singer who is less than admirable. Were you more surprised he gave up the Black or that Samwell hit him? What will be his fate now?
83. Eek! All I could think of when Samwell landed in that icky canal water was in that poison the Waif had been pouring in there. You?
84. Xhondo, from the Summer Islands, saved Samwell and knows of dragons. Do you think his information will be correct? Yea or nay, what will Maester Aemon do with it?
85. Okay, Jaime is pretty angry with Cersei and appears to become more and more disgusted with her, but he still lusts after her. Will that lust ever fade?
86. What do you think of Jaime’s practicing his sword wielding with Ser Ilyn? It doesn’t sound as if they have any leather guards on them. I keep thinking Jaime could lose his other hand. Or am I mistaken? Think Jaime will ever become as proficient?
FYI – Okay, I went back to Wiki Ice to look up Tyrek Lannister (no wonder I could only vaguely remember him; the “mob” incident was in A Clash of Kings):
a) Tyrek is a squire alongside his cousin Lancel Lannister to King Robert Baratheon (thus, he may have information – re: his activities & death – that is vital to Varys).87. Was Varys the mastermind of the riot? Is Tyrek now his captor or co-conspirator? Or was he languishing somewhere forgotten?
b) Tyrek is married to Lady Ermesande Hayford, (a baby – thus Tyrek’s nickname of “Wet Nurse” – & she’s the last of her line, House Hayford).
c) Driven by hunger, a mob attacked a royal party that had gone to the harbor to bid safe journey to Princess Myrcella. In the riot a number of men were killed. Tyrek went missing and is presumed dead.
d) As Commander of the Goldcloaks, Addam Marbrand (Jaime’s childhood friend – who is with him now) was charged with locating Tyrek or his body, with no luck.
88. Ser Bonifer Hasty (who once sided with King Renly & then King Stannis, but was forgiven by King Joffery) is now Castellan of Harrenhal. What do you think of him? The pendulum has swung the other way it seems, as he is pretty pious; are the people there any better off? What will Petyr Baelish do about it, or will he even care?
FYI – Ser Ronnet Connington, also known as Red Ronnet, is the Knight of Griffin's Roost (he once sided with King Renly & King Stannis – and was captured in Blackwater, after which he bent his knee to King Joffrey). He has the duel honor of once being betrothed to Brienne and unhorsed by her.
89. Were you surprised that Jaime took offence at his comments and punched Red Ronnet? For a man who wouldn’t call Brienne by her name, he sure changed his tune. Are his feelings running deeper for her than he will admit, or is it just admiration?

Interesting information about Septons. From wiki ice:
The High Septon is the head of the Faith of the Seven. While historically, the High Septon ruled from the Starry Sept in Oldtown, with the coming of Aegon Targaryen, the High Septon at the time threw his support behind Aegon and eventually relocated to the new capital of King's Landing.
The selection of a new High Septon is traditionally in the hands of the Most Devout but the will of past Targaryen Kings has often influenced their choice. Baelor the Blessed had a stoneworker and an eight-year old boy chosen for the office. A new High Septon extends the practice of septons giving up their family names by renouncing any kind of individual name. This leads to trouble distinguishing between various past holders of the office, as one can only refer to them by descriptions such as "the fat one" or the "one before the fat one."
90) Thoughts on the high Septon? Does he strike you as not quite right in the head or crazy like a fox?
91) Someone's sister jailed for being to beautiful? Did anyone wonder if Cersei would be next?
92) When will Martin stop punishing us with more Cersei? These are my least favorite chapters. We get she doesn't like Tyrion. Geesh!
93) What did you think of the High Septon saying he'd bless Tommen?
94) Cersei's uncovered some of the pieces of Jeoffry's death, but has parts wrong. What do you think she'll do?
95)"Your Grace laughs so prettily." Lady Margaery gave her a quizzical smile. "Might we share the jest?"
"You will," the queen said. "I promise you , you will." - Is this a threat?
96) So Euron wants to wed Dany. Thoughts?
97) Now we have naked ladies serving food? I guess you could see something like this coming.
98) Victorian seems a better man than Euron. Do you prefer either over the other at this point and, if so, why?
99) Does Euron remind you of Asha in male form? How do you pronounce Euron? I keep thinking like Urine. Very distracting.
100) Thoughts on Euron stealing Victarion's men?
101) Anyone besides myself and Victarion wish Euron had decided to pull a Peter Pan and attempt to fly out the window?

80. Why is Maester Aemon so adamant about knowing more about the dragons? Is this just senile curiosity? Or does he know or seek something more?
Maybe there was a prophecy? I think he's just confused.
81. When she first spoke up, did you suspect (or hope) “the girl” – Cat – outside the Cattery brothel was Arya?
No. I didn't think she'd left the place we last saw her.
82. Dareon! Another singer who is less than admirable. Were you more surprised he gave up the Black or that Samwell hit him? What will be his fate now?
I was surprised he hit Dareon. What surprised me most about this scene is that it sounded like maybe Samwell had had a similar situation and had perhaps seriously hurt someone. I can't remember the wording, but I made a mental note.
83. Eek! All I could think of when Samwell landed in that icky canal water was in that poison the Waif had been pouring in there. You?
No. I was worried he wouldn't get out. He can't swim.
84. Xhondo, from the Summer Islands, saved Samwell and knows of dragons. Do you think his information will be correct? Yea or nay, what will Maester Aemon do with it?
I think he knows what he's talking about and it'll be interesting to see if he becomes a key player in the book.
85. Okay, Jaime is pretty angry with Cersei and appears to become more and more disgusted with her, but he still lusts after her. Will that lust ever fade?
I hope so. It does seem he's thinking of Brienne more and more, however.
86. What do you think of Jaime’s practicing his sword wielding with Ser Ilyn? It doesn’t sound as if they have any leather guards on them. I keep thinking Jaime could lose his other hand. Or am I mistaken? Think Jaime will ever become as proficient?
It will take a long time before Jaime will be able to use that other hand. Has to build the muscle in it.
FYI – Okay, I went back to Wiki Ice to look up Tyrek Lannister (no wonder I could only vaguely remember him; the “mob” incident was in A Clash of Kings):
a) Tyrek is a squire alongside his cousin Lancel Lannister to King Robert Baratheon (thus, he may have information – re: his activities & death – that is vital to Varys).
b) Tyrek is married to Lady Ermesande Hayford, (a baby – thus Tyrek’s nickname of “Wet Nurse” – & she’s the last of her line, House Hayford).
c) Driven by hunger, a mob attacked a royal party that had gone to the harbor to bid safe journey to Princess Myrcella. In the riot a number of men were killed. Tyrek went missing and is presumed dead.
d) As Commander of the Goldcloaks, Addam Marbrand (Jaime’s childhood friend – who is with him now) was charged with locating Tyrek or his body, with no luck.
87. Was Varys the mastermind of the riot? Is Tyrek now his captor or co-conspirator? Or was he languishing somewhere forgotten?
Inquiring minds want to know, but dang it all we don't! Where's think Inquirer when you need it?
I don't think he cares. Me thinks he has other plans.
I think it'd be interesting if Jaime and Brienne ended up together. He did after all take a bath with her. Makes one wonder.

This leads to trouble distinguishing between various past holders of the office, as one can only refer to them by descriptions such as "the fat one" or the "one before the fat one."
90) Thoughts on the high Septon? Does he strike you as not quite right in the head or crazy like a fox?
Crazy like a fox.
91) Someone's sister jailed for being too beautiful? Did anyone wonder if Cersei would be next?
I could only hope!
92) When will Martin stop punishing us with more Cersei? These are my least favorite chapters. We get she doesn't like Tyrion. Geesh!
I am unhappy with the whole book, so yeah. I don’t understand some of it either. Cersei heards of King Baelor imprisoning his sisters (b/c they are beautiful) and so she runs down and pinches Tyrion in the nursery? I don’t get the relationship? She’s beautiful, he’s “ugly”? They’re siblings? That’s it? Or did I miss something?
93) What did you think of the High Septon saying he'd bless Tommen?
I can’t help thinking that Cersei made a grave mistake here. Sure, she’s lifted a debt, but I don’t think it is that easy. Something is up with that.
94) Cersei's uncovered some of the pieces of Jeoffry's death, but has parts wrong. What do you think she'll do?
She has her suspicions about the Tyrells, but she still thinks Tyrion & Sansa are guilty; plus, she doesn’t know about Littlefinger. I think she’s twist this to her own purposes, based on emotions.
95) "Your Grace laughs so prettily." Lady Margaery gave her a quizzical smile. "Might we share the jest?"
"You will," the queen said. "I promise you, you will." - Is this a threat?
Oh, yeah. A big threat. I think Cersei is going to accuse Queen Margaery and Ser Loras of having intercourse. This may backfire on her, as I believe most know that Ser Loras had a thing for King Renly. Of course, he could be bi-sexual, but still…
96) So Euron wants to wed Dany. Thoughts?
I wondered what would happen when he started making slaves, but I wasn’t expecting that! The guy is nuts. I hope Dany fries his nuts.
97) Now we have naked ladies serving food? I guess you could see something like this coming.
Really.
98) Victorian seems a better man than Euron. Do you prefer either over the other at this point and, if so, why?
Nope. I could care less about either of them, except that one has sent the other off to bring Dany back as a wife. Ha! Good luck with that. If GRRM does that, then I’m through.
99) Does Euron remind you of Asha in male form? How do you pronounce Euron? I keep thinking like Urine. Very distracting.
First question: Nope, he doesn’t. Second question: LOL! Okay. I have been leaving the “E” off the pronunciation, just like one does when there is an “E” at the end of a word. Everything is ass-backwards here, so WTH, why not. Good Gravy Beans, now I’ll probably start thinking of him that way, LOL!
100) Thoughts on Euron stealing Victarion's men?
I’m with Victarion – he stole everything else of his, why not his men? Not a good idea.
101) Anyone besides myself and Victarion wish Euron had decided to pull a Peter Pan and attempt to fly out the window?
I with you, Lisarenee. I wouldn’t even need to dress him up in a little green suit. Let him go naked, as he is. I don’t know what was in that wine, but the guy is hallucinating, or having delusions of grandeur – I hope.

#80 – Hmmm… Maybe a prophecy.
#81 – I knew it the minute she started interacting with Sam. GRRM seems to like Sam to cross paths with all of Jon’s siblings. Wonder when and how he’ll come across Sansa. Or maybe Catelyn?
#82 – I didn’t catch that; maybe I’ll go back and check it out.
#83 – Eek! The thought of what was in that canal water still freaks me out – and they were drinking it!
#84 – Hummm… maybe. I’m trying not to get too attached to these characters. I already did so over Davos, and hope he is not really dead, with his head spiked on the castle of White Harbor by Lord Manderly.
#85 – Mind Meld!
#86 – I’m getting impatient. I want Jaime to kick some butt with it now, LOL! What a change in attitude I’ve had, right?
#87 – LOL!
#88 – You could be right. Beats the poo out of me what Littlefinger is up to though.
#89 – Yes, that would be interesting.
I hope you headache is better soon, Lisarenee! Don’t worry about the questions. I haven’t even read those chapters yet.

It's the book. We have to sit through Cersei and her rants and there's no good action. Just things Martin thought might add some spice like naked women, which does absolutely nothing for me. lol I guess men and those who like the same sex got a treat however or maybe not? *smirk*

102) Jaime now knows the truth about Cersei. Still do not know the outcome of his knowledge.
103) We know Cersei probably does lover her brother in the only way she could, that being after herself.
Showing she has no concept of the word.
104) We found out a bit about Robert's and Cersei's marriage, but not exactly what he did to her. It's just hinted at. I think this is a first for Martin. He's usually quite quick about giving details.
105) Lancel seems to have lost it. What do you think of his confessing his sins to the Septon?
106) Sounds like the Hound did indeed die.\
107) I'm sick of Cersei flashbacks. Gah! I can't dislike her more.
108) Do you think it's okay for Brienne to sleep alone? I worry about her.
109) What do you think of the Elder brother? Who is he?
110) Cersei is a mad queen literally and figuratively. She can't see truth because she's so paranoid. I don't think she'll have long to live. Do I sound like a broken record.
111) What do you think of Ser Loras' latest quest? Is it a suicide mission?
112) She made a big enemy of Bronn. Can't wait to see how he'll handle it.
113) Another person given to Qyborn. Gah! Cersei is heartless.

80. Why is Maester Aemon so adamant about knowing more about the dragons? Is this just senile curiosity? Or does he know or seek something more?
I think he knows something, or wants to share information.
81. When she first spoke up, did you suspect (or hope) “the girl” – Cat – outside the Cattery brothel was Arya? I really thought it was her, although her language was much courser than Arya's. Still, she could be getting into character to leave her old life behind.
82. Dareon! Another singer who is less than admirable. Were you more surprised he gave up the Black or that Samwell hit him? What will be his fate now? Hooray for Sam! He is proving to be much more courageous than he thought. I suppose Dareon better go into hiding now.
83. Eek! All I could think of when Samwell landed in that icky canal water was in that poison the Waif had been pouring in there. You?
I didn't even think of that!
84. Xhondo, from the Summer Islands, saved Samwell and knows of dragons. Do you think his information will be correct? Yea or nay, what will Maester Aemon do with it? Yes, I think his info will be correct. I am hoping Aemon sends Sam to Dany.
85. Okay, Jaime is pretty angry with Cersei and appears to become more and more disgusted with her, but he still lusts after her. Will that lust ever fade?
Cersei was his first and only love. I've thought all along that their love for each other is pathological. The lust may be there, but logically I think Jaime is done with her.
86. What do you think of Jaime’s practicing his sword wielding with Ser Ilyn? It doesn’t sound as if they have any leather guards on them. I keep thinking Jaime could lose his other hand. Or am I mistaken? Think Jaime will ever become as proficient?
I think with time and practice Jaime can become an accomplished fighter again.
It never occurred to me that the riot was planned, but now that you mention it, it's sure a possibility. I have no idea where Tyrek is/if he's still alive.
I feel like Littlefinger is paying no mind to Harrenhall for now.
I love how Jaime defended Brienne. I think his feelings for her are brotherly (and not in the same way as Cersei LOL).

Interesting information about Septons. From wiki ice:

90) Thoughts on the high Septon? Does he strike you as not quite right in the head or crazy like a fox?
My thought is that he feels himself above earthly laws. He spoke to Cersei in a way that most others wouldn't dare. I wonder who is backing him.
91) Someone's sister jailed for being to beautiful? Did anyone wonder if Cersei would be next?
I'm not sure who would do that.
92) When will Martin stop punishing us with more Cersei? These are my least favorite chapters. We get she doesn't like Tyrion. Geesh!
That's funny! I feel the opposite way: the Cersei chapters are among my favorite. At least I enjoy them much more than the Kraken episodes.
93) What did you think of the High Septon saying he'd bless Tommen? I smell a rat
94) Cersei's uncovered some of the pieces of Jeoffry's death, but has parts wrong. What do you think she'll do? She will probably go after the wrong people with lack of proof.
95)"Your Grace laughs so prettily." Lady Margaery gave her a quizzical smile. "Might we share the jest?"
"You will," the queen said. "I promise you , you will." - Is this a threat? Oh, yes, I took this as a definite threat. I was thinking Cersei suspects Margaery and Loras of incest. Takes one to know one, I guess!
96) So Euron wants to wed Dany. Thoughts? completely ridiculous. No way Dany would wed him, or anyone else. She is the Virgin Queen of Westeros.
97) Now we have naked ladies serving food? I guess you could see something like this coming. No, but I noticed the violence and rape have gotten more intense lately.
98) Victorian seems a better man than Euron. Do you prefer either over the other at this point and, if so, why? I despise both of them, actually. Have we heard anything good about them? What stands out the most is Victorian beat his wife to death; Euron raped Victorian's wife. I see no redeeming qualities in either of them at this point.
99) Does Euron remind you of Asha in male form? How do you pronounce Euron? I keep thinking like Urine. Very distracting. No, he doesn't remind me of Asha. In my head I pronounce it "YER-on."
100) Thoughts on Euron stealing Victarion's men? Unsurprising.
101) Anyone besides myself and Victarion wish Euron had decided to pull a Peter Pan and attempt to fly out the window? LOL I wish they all would go away!

102) Jaime now knows the truth about Cersei. Still do not know the outcome of his knowledge.
I'm glad he learned the truth. He needed to hear it.
103) We know Cersei probably does lover her brother in the only way she could, that being after herself.
Showing she has no concept of the word. I still think she loves her children. She loves herself above all others. I think she has definite mental problems.
104) We found out a bit about Robert's and Cersei's marriage, but not exactly what he did to her. It's just hinted at. I think this is a first for Martin. He's usually quite quick about giving details.
We know their marriage was political, not for love. She never loved Robert. I am not sure if she ever respected him. She ultimately had him murdered.
105) Lancel seems to have lost it. What do you think of his confessing his sins to the Septon? I fear the truth will eventually hurt him and Cersei.
106) Sounds like the Hound did indeed die.Yes! It does. Someone must have stolen his helm and committed the atrocities at Saltpans. Well, now I don't have to worry about him coming after Arya (I hope!)
107) I'm sick of Cersei flashbacks. Gah! I can't dislike her more. I dislike her, but I enjoy her story/flashbacks.
108) Do you think it's okay for Brienne to sleep alone? I worry about her. The woman can hold her own in a fight. I think she'll be ok.
109) What do you think of the Elder brother? Who is he?I don't know... Varys? He seems to know everything!
110) Cersei is a mad queen literally and figuratively. She can't see truth because she's so paranoid. I don't think she'll have long to live. Do I sound like a broken record. You're just anxious for her to get killed off so you don't have to deal with her anymore! :-)
111) What do you think of Ser Loras' latest quest? Is it a suicide mission? I am not seeing a victory for him, but I have been wrong on many occasions with respect to these novels!
112) She made a big enemy of Bronn. Can't wait to see how he'll handle it. Now this is something I saw coming the moment Cersei gave orders to have him killed. This won't be pretty at all.
113) Another person given to Qyborn. Gah! Cersei is heartless. Yes, this was cruel and actually unnecessary. OK, I'm with you, Cersei needs to DIE! I can't see any redemption for her.

102) Jaime now knows the truth about Cersei. Still do not know the outcome of his knowledge.
Yes, her infidelities and her stupidity with regards to reinstating the Faith Militant; I wonder which one he is unhappiest about now?
103) We know Cersei probably does love her brother in the only way she could, that being after herself.
Showing she has no concept of the word.
She has no perception of the word. Maybe, with regard to her children, but even then she has done them no favors.
104) We found out a bit about Robert's and Cersei's marriage, but not exactly what he did to her. It's just hinted at. I think this is a first for Martin. He's usually quite quick about giving details.
That was weird to me. It only elicited a little sympathy on my part. Between her dealing with Lady Falyse by sending her to Qyburn to surely be tortured and after her Robert impersonation with Taena – what little sympathy I had for her enduring Robert in her marriage bed fled entirely.
105) Lancel seems to have lost it. What do you think of his confessing his sins to the Septon?
Yes, he’s lost it. Hopefully, for Cersei, their “spilled” secrets died with the Septon.
106) Sounds like the Hound did indeed die.
Yes. But this is not widely known. Interesting. Why tell Jaime and not spread the truth? Is it just b/c of their vow of silence? Strange.
107) I'm sick of Cersei flashbacks. Gah! I can't dislike her more.
I didn’t think I could dislike her more; I was wrong. Jaime’s having them too of Tyrion and that’s not bothering me. I may throw up over Cersei’s.
108) Do you think it is okay for Brienne to sleep alone? I worry about her.
I’m also worried. Very. I hope Podrick sneaks out and sleeps nearby.
109) What do you think of the Elder brother? Who is he?
Oh, Good Gravy Beans! I hadn’t even thought of that and I should have. **sigh** After all, he was once a knight. I don’t know.
110) Cersei is a mad queen literally and figuratively. She can't see truth because she's so paranoid. I don't think she'll have long to live. Do I sound like a broken record.
I think you could be right, except I believe GRRM wants to keep her around a bit, despite Arya’s nightly prayers.
111) What do you think of Ser Loras' latest quest? Is it a suicide mission?
Possibly. I hope he wins the day, though why, I don’t know, LOL!
112) She made a big enemy of Bronn. Can't wait to see how he'll handle it.
Really. Cersei messed this one up, Big Time. I think Bronn was only being ironic and now there is this huge cluster fuc#.
113) Another person given to Qyborn. Gah! Cersei is heartless.
She is. Sadistic b!tch, too.

#81 – Hmmm. Yes, I think you are correct. She has learned to play many different roles.
#82 – I think you are right about Dareon. I don’t think Cat will be too fond of him. She is loyal to Jon Snow and, through him, the Night’s Guard.
#84 – Sam to Dany? Really! Wow. I hope “Slayer” gets there b/f Victarion!
#85 – I think you are right, Sandy. Pathological is a great word too, considering Bran and what we now know about their intentions toward Arya. I think this is more and just b/c they are brother and sister. Looks like Jaime is finding the cure, while Cersei is worsening.
#87 – I’m wondering if Tyrek is with Varys. But, if so, why him specifically?
#89 – LOL! Very funny, you. But, I think he is falling for Brienne.

#90 – Who’s backing him? Hmmm… Interesting question. I was just thinking, like you said, he felt himself above earthly laws.
#91 – I wondered the same thing. Then I considered the source (Cersei’s POV) and figured she had it twisted around in her mind somehow.
#93 – I think he was taking advantage of her lack of historical knowledge. I loved it when Jamie was thinking “Tyrion would know”. Otherwise, history repeats itself.
#94 – I think you are right again! She is rather rash.
#95 – I was unclear on this. Does she really suspect them? Or is she just going to plant evidence of such?
#97 – Very true. All the raping was bad enough in the first book, but now it is just too much.
#98 – Mind Meld.
#101 – LMAO! Me too!

#102 – True. I wonder if he’ll turn his back on her if she goes down.
#103 – She need a shrink.
#105 – I think you are right. Lancel sharing that secret wasn’t wise.
#106 – I hope so too. Lord, GRRM hasn’t added any ghost yet. But who knows.
#107 – I was liking her chapters, as I was grasping onto anything familiar with hints as to the characters I wanted to know about. But now… **blows raspberry**
#108 – True. But everyone is vulnerable in sleep. Remember how she had Podrick watch out for her.
#109 – True! Where is the Spider?
#110 – **Lisa Kay snorts laughter though her nose in a most unladylike manner**
#112 – Really! Wow. I figured she interpreted Bronn’s joke more seriously than it needed to be, but I didn’t figure he’d come out on top – which he is right now. I hope he stays there.
#113 – LMAO! Okay! Welcome to our side, Sandy. LOL!

#87 – I’m wondering if Tyrek is with Varys. But, if so, why him specifically?
You had suggested Tyrek might be conspiring with Varys. What would his motivation be, the fact that he may have also helped kill Robert and thus Varys is holding that over his head? If so, what are they conspiring? When we last saw Varys he was helping Tyrion up to Tywin's rooms. Did he flee with Tyrion or on his own? I hope we find out in ADWD!
#89 – LOL! Very funny, you. But, I think he is falling for Brienne.
The romantic in me would like to think so, but is Jaime capable of falling for someone? He has loved one woman his entire life, and that woman is the epitome of evil. I do think he greatly admires and respects Brienne. We know that Jaime is honorable, since he is doing all he can to not harm the Tullys as he had promised Catelyn. He also has sent Brienne to find Sansa and keep her safe. OK, I am rambling now...
@Lisarenee
What key? I am drawing a blank...I think I am reading too many books at once!
@Lisa Kay
#91 – I wondered the same thing. Then I considered the source (Cersei’s POV) and figured she had it twisted around in her mind somehow.
I think this speaks to her paranoia. she is remembering a beautiful sister killed by the King, and now worries it could be her, but I am wondering who would be the one to do that? Not Tommen...perhaps Tyrion or Jaime?
#94 – I think you are right again! She is rather rash. Yes, and paranoid!
#95 – I was unclear on this. Does she really suspect them? Or is she just going to plant evidence of such? I think she really suspects them since she herself committed incest with her brother.
#97 – Very true. All the raping was bad enough in the first book, but now it is just too much.
Agree, way to much and just thrown out there like it's no big deal.
#98 I could do without these characters, that's for sure! Is there such a thing as TOO MANY characters??
#112 Really! Wow. I figured she interpreted Bronn’s joke more seriously than it needed to be, but I didn’t figure he’d come out on top – which he is right now. I hope he stays there. I think her motivation to want Bronn killed has much more to do with the fact that he named his son Tyrion. (Although, that is symbolic of where his loyalties are.) Cersei wants to rid the kingdom of anyone she perceives as a threat. Since Bronn was basically Tyrion's bodyguard and confidante, he is a big threat to her...someone who would fight on the opposite side in another battle for the throne. I knew an attempt to kill Bronn would be futile since he probably knew it would happen eventually, and he would be on the defensive. We know he is a skilled fighter and won't go down easily.
#113 At least now I am eager to see how GRRM gets rid of Cersei once and for all.

At the very beginning of the book a guy who loves a woman who's maidenhead is being put up for sale steals a key and gives it to some guy with a scar and then kills the thief. I don't think we ever learned what the key was used for. I vaguely remember it open lots of things up in Kings landing or somewhere.
