Just curious for Sookie lovers.... who do you think she should end up with?
Agreed. Personally, I just don't think he's that into her. LOL Now Bill, on the other hand....I think Alcide is totally out after all the horrible things he has done to her since becoming pack leader.

There was a question Charlaine answered about whether a vamp can ever become human again and she said no that is wasn't possible so I don't even see that happening.
I am so glad that I am not the only one that sees how Eric has been to her. I think things he has done are just unforgivable. I don't think he loves her like she needs to be loved. He hasn't even given up marrying someone that he was told to by a maker that is dead. I mean, really?
I would like to see Alcide cause what other choices are there for besides for Eric and Bill and I would have preferred Eric.

I love Pam especially on the show. They cast her well in my opinion, but then I think the cast in general has been really good (I not going to mention the writing at least with this season. Although I think it ended with promise). Sookie, well, like most, I want her to be with Eric.
I am not sure who Sookie should be with at this time as she is still growing herself. Learning who she is and what she is capable of. Eric is about himself even though he does love her and provides for her better than Bill does.
Bill on the other hand cries that she is his first love (thoughth his wife was??) and he would always love her,but he sures spends alot time lying to her... maybe it done in the name of love?
Now sexy A warm and furry, he has his issues but then don't we all? I think given the time and a chance he would be good for Sookie.
Then there is Quinn but oh well ... Sookie needs to be first in her lover's life.
I am not seeing how anyone but Al can or willing to do that. Maybe there is someone coming who will put Sookie first and who will be able to deal with all that makes her who she is. As characters in stories go, she not a bad person,nor mean or spiteful. Her innocent is endearing and her courage in the face of the insanity of her life is amazing.
I understand that .. he does love her but does Eric love her enough to see past his own wants. It not Eric needs that get him in trouble it is him wanting what he wants with little regard to others... except maybe Sookie .. sometimes.. I still think there there is someone out there for her.

As of right now, I don't think he does but who knows, maybe Harris will surprise us and Eric will pull his head out of his butt and be a better man...er...vampire.
I've always had a soft spot for Alcide, but not how he is in recent books. So, I'm leaning toward Eric. I'm kind of sick of Bill, liked him a little more in the last book. I need some guy to actually put Sookie first. I really don't want her with Sam, I don't feel any chemistry there.
After Dead Reckoning, I think Eric is being phased out. As long as they don't bring back Bill I'll be happy. I'd love to see her hook up with Alcide!!!
I think the main problem is that both Eric and Bill have spent so much time fighting to stay alive they forgot how to live and living really mean. It seem to be in a relationship with them is to be in a constant state of war. Again it the want factor. Vampries want what they want and hell with the rest. I think both love Sookie as much as they are able. Is it enought? The books seem to side right now on the side of Eric(sorry if that is spoiler, and you have two read the next few books Ashley to find out. I would love to see her with Al,but I really don't think it will be him. For those who have read the part where her Elf grandfather comes to see her .. Remember who lead her to him... Wasn't that Eric?? Then when her grandfather left he told her Sookie he really loves you, you know. I don't think he meant Bill and Al he didn't know. Hummm interesting ..
Yeah, I always took grandpa's comment.... the vampire loves you... as meaning Eric not Bill. But is it enough? Author's been pushing Eric on us almost the entire series, so it's odd she's starting to pull it back. If Sookie doesn't end up with Eric after 13 books... I won't be happy. Author's been screwing up this book series ever since the tv series came out. She should have ended it around the Fae War. I hated the torture, and the books have gone steadily downhill ever since.
The Fae war realyl changed Sookie and it changed her and Eric's relationship.Sookie isn't as sweet and nice as she use to be, that is really evident in the novella Small Town Wedding.
@Mlpmom I think Sookie personality change after she blew Debbie Pelt away. She had been pushed so much by having to deal with the vampires is was just only time before she started pushing back and hard. Mess with Sookie the wrong way, you might go missing and not in a good way.I don't feel that the story line as gone down hill (to me)but I have noticed that they have gotten more darker. Really it is the only way to go,since she in now deeper into the world of the others,(vampires, second nature,and others.)since they all seem to be battling the creeping darkness.I get the feeling that this will all end with a big bang.
It only makes sense that Sookie has gotten darker and a little meaner since book 1. She really has been through it all since then. I actually thought it was cool that Charlaine changed Sookie's character a bit to reflect that.
We all are shaped by what life take us throught walking or running. If Sookie was a living person, the stuff that she has experience in relative a short time is a lot. She lives in a battle zone for all practical purposes. Dead people are everywhere and yes some do get up and move around more than others. Then you have the furry set and spell casting bunch. I think Sookie who is in the middle of all ths is doing damn good!!!. So she let her get out there and swing a good right hook with the best of them and that don't work, have shot gun will travel... opps wait that Anita Blake !!! Now that series NO one will put on tv or make a movie of..LOL
I think Sookie should end up with Eric.
I would love to see her end up with Quinn. I really liked him, and I felt bad for him because I thought Sookie was completely unfair to him. I haven't read any of the short stories, but after the comments on here that he was probably out of the running after one of them I think I'm going to have to. I really hope he comes back into the picture!!
Used to be BILL,BILL,BILL,BILL! Since they cast Joe Manganiello as Alcide on the show, it's now ALCIDE,ALCIDE,ALCIDE.....or BILL!!!!
OK, I just read the secret dialogues of Bill and Eric in the Sookie Companion book. Anyone who thinks Bill does not truly love her and is not the one she should end up with, well, apparently we are reading different books! LOL! Go BILL!

After all Alcide did to use her? No way! And I really do think Eric is out from the way the last book ended.
As of right now, I'm gonna say Eric. She knew what he was all about up front-no lies, deceptions (ala Bill). I think she may be with Alcide next season. He does seem really sweet and he seems to have her best interests at heart. I bet Eric will curse the day he introduced them.
I love Eric I want her to be with him but it seems like that's becoming a no go. I still love Quinn and Alcide. I'm not big on the idea of Sam, I love him but to me he's best being her friend.
I want her to end up with Quinn! I have the novella, but haven't started it yet. I don't want to read it now if it means he's out :(
I'm good with Eric or Quinn... I used to want her to end up with Alcide, but he's turned out to be such a jerk I don't really like him all that much anymore.
Alcide or Sam, sorry to say, since she will never be a camp.

Charlaine Harris didn't write the secret private conversations. They were interesting to read, but without CH having written them, you can't say they actually happened.
And after the latest novella, I'd have to say that Quinn is no longer in the picture. Although, as we all know, anything is possible (although some things more unlikely than others, like I don't see how she'd take Alcide back.)

Quinn, He loved/wanted her not because of her fairy blood or because she could read minds(Eric/Bill). He has some issues with his family but hey Sookie is far from prefect. I think she gave him the short stick when breaking up with him.Plus who better to protect her from all the drama she gets into.

I read the novella after this thread and my heart broke a little. Guess Quinn is out....sucky! He was so great I know he had family crap but what the heck we all do...although him choosing his sister and mom over sookie during the takeover did break my heart, he also sent his sister to warn her so I thought maybe there was hope but now...sad! I dunno I love Alcide too but hes done some real jerky things...then again which male hasn't. Ugh Eric needs to find a way out of that arrangement....grrrrr...
The companion was interesting but yeah most of its not done by Charlaine...it's a lot of summarizing...not really worth the buy but it does have the short stories...not sure if their all in it or not.

Hunh, I did NOT read the fine print - if she didn't write them then they are nothing more than fanfiction! Well, that just sucks....
I haven't read her most recent yet, but I wanted her to be with Quinn :( He was such a sweetheart...and *cough* a tiger. I was hoping by some miracle she'd at least end up with Alcide. Not a huge fan of Eric. He's sexy and smooth, but aside from a short stint in Dead to the World, he's selfish. And Sam is just Sam. Not really into him in the movie or the books.
Unless CH brings in someone NEW (at this point who or what else is there to introduce to Sookie) I feel (I am with the warm blooded set) that Eric is the front runner. YES he is selfish, self center with his own agenda, but when it really counts he is the one who really looks out for her and takes care of her. Is that love and is that enough?
As long as it's not Bill, I will be happy for whoever wins her heart. I am not a Bill fan, Eric fan yes, Bill is a Hell No! I cant stand him. Out of all the men on the show I would think Eric or Alcide. Eric is loveable and I do think Alcide would be the healthy choice for her. I would be happy for either choice, just not Bill.

I vote for quinn. Out of all the guys in the books, he was always the nicest and sweetest to her. Plus he wasnt with her for his own agenda either...She shouldnt have been so harsh to him. I think she should drop the vamps and wolves and move to where he is :P

I'm so sorry but I am team Eric all the way. Not just because of the books, but the series helped too. The chemistry is still hot. With Bill, it got played out. He doesn't have the charisma and bad boy effect that Eric does. Nothing could get boring with that bad boy.

I was all Bill at first but the last season I really liked Eric and then of course there is Alcide..... I really don't know anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would vote for Eric, but Sookie is still a country girl. Bill is not right for her. JMO, the guy/shapeshifter who owns the bar would be right for her. (excuse my brain fart - I can't recall his name at the moment) He has a past, but who doesn't? LOL

Nice vision but I think it would take more than 2 more books to convince me that Eric was selfless enough to give up his power for Sookie. However, he might decide to become human to be with her but as a vamp, he ain't ever gonna do right.
