Another (even cooler?) group w/ similar project

Honestly I'd like to focus on World Cinema, because I'm doing pretty dang good. http://mubi.com/lists/discovering-wor...
However, I might take a stab at this World Literature project. Especially since I know of a Somalian writer (Nurrudin Farah) so why not?

I'm going to choose one of Nuruddin Farah's books for my 52 books.

I see.

The mark of the super cool is to be so open.

There's this event that's been going on since January run by my friend Amy:

Cool beans...another excellent reason to browse Jenny's master list.

I think she is planning for Asia in 2012...it will be fun. 2011 was brazil and Peru and I plan to get to all the books she picked at some point...
I joined when she was wrapping up Greece at the end of 2010.
Oops. I know "Asmah" is a pseudonym yet I just used the female personal pronoun. Apologies, Asmah if that's wrong. :S

She mentioned her idea somewhere but I can't remember where...I'm pretty sure it will be Asia.

I'm not sure which group you're referring to (too many groups and I'm getting confused) but the idea of finding books common to more than one group sounds great to me.

Me too.

Yeah, nice to hear from you. I'm basking in 40 degree weather. Jealous?

No, but Cafes usually have food (good baked things, I'm hoping). Want to join us?

The 2012 Around the World list signifies one of my daunting challenges.

So, maybe in 5 years you can do the 52 U.S. states.

Or, write one set there--an even more daunting challenge.

Heck, yeah. Didn't know you had writing aspirations.

Judy, the memoir "Tolstoy and the Purple Chair" reminds me of Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader, which The Imprinted Life read. There is deep satisfaction in noticing the juxtaposition of the regal "Purple Chair" and the writer Tolstoy.

Yes, I imagine it could. Good luck with it.
The World Literature group has seventy-seven members though often one or two people talk about a book. I'd like more discussion there but accept the way it is http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/3...
