By my tardy reply, I suppose I don't need to tell that we're a bit busy at moment. ;)

I'm looking forward to tomorrow though.
Daves out all day so I'll have peace and quiet to read. Heaven.

message 815: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Ha! You complain when Dave's not around and can't wait to get rid of him when he is! ;-)

Won't be around this morning have to pop out. ;-)

message 816: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments As I always say. How can I miss him if he doesn't go away?

Ich, you're always up so early. You make me feel lazy!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Isn't france an hour ahead of us?

message 818: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I believe so. She still makes me feel lazy though...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I could ring you when I get up. At 6:20...

message 820: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Only way I see that time of day is if I stay up all night, thanks.

message 821: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) LOL!

I have two dogs that jump all over me if I don't get up early, Patti. I'm always in bed by ten too! ;-)

message 822: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Just received another wonderful review for Cruel Justice in the US. http://ow.ly/ag1JQ It always comes as a lovely surprise when our American friends understand the British terminology. ;-)

message 823: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Yay!

I read A Dog's Life recently. I love doggy's horrible that people would do things like that. My friends ex husband took their dog for the weekend cause the kids wouldn't go with him and instead of bringing the dog back to the house he cycled part of the way got fed up tied the dog to a tree told my pal where the dog was and that she would have to pick him up from there cause he wasn't cycling any further then he buggered off home!!!!! More irresponsible than cruel but still made me so mad, I love that dog he's the best dog in the world.

Makes me so mad, he is such a %*^£@#* git

(Rant over!)

message 824: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Jud that's awful. How heartless is that? I'll let you in on a little secret. I once dumped a boyfriend because he raised his hand to my dog. My dogs are like my children, hurt them and you hurt me!

message 825: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Sorry forgot to say... Have you seen this video? http://mediamania.blog.com/?p=330&... I have it on my FB wall.

Just right! And no I've not seen the video but I will watch it :o)

Good for you! I think you can tell a lot about a person by how he or she treats animals.

The worst story I heard involved a woman insisting on having two elderly dogs in a divorce settlement, then having them put down, when the husband would have been more than happy to give them the extra love that they needed in their old age.

message 828: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I once stopped seeing a guy because when I took him home to meet my Mom, my cat almost ripped his face off.

Oddly, my Mom liked him...

message 829: by Rosen (new)

Rosen Trevithick (rosentrevithick) | 2272 comments Cat's are temperamental though. Their criteria for disliking people isn't always in sync with sensible human tastes.

If he'd ripped the cat's face off ...

message 830: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) That's sick, Rosen. What people will do to get back at an ex-partner.

Oops Patti!!!:-)

message 831: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments We went for a walk today and every dog within 50 metres of us was all over Dave.

I reckon it's the sausages he carries in his pockets.

message 832: by Rosen (new)

Rosen Trevithick (rosentrevithick) | 2272 comments Yep. It stuck me as one of the most spiteful, sadistic things I've ever heard. He was devastated. He's managed to adopt a new rescue dog, so at least another animal has benefited from the whole horrible situation.

message 833: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) There's an answer for that, Patti, but I'm not going there! lol

Rosen, I always used to buy pedigree dogs, had a Rough Collie once from a championship bloodline, but now I always get the dogs that really need our help. ;-)

message 834: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I reckon if Shaun's thread can be over run with penises, a few sausages in your's is quite acceptable.

message 835: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) oo er Mrs! I thought you had morphed into Lorraine for a minute there, Patti! ;-)

It took me a while to find a decent sausage over here. I quite like the spicy ones now.

message 836: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Nom nom. Nothing like a nice spicy sausage. Especially when the heat lingers on your lips.

message 837: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) OMG!!! What are you on, Patti? :-)

message 838: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh yeah right.

Pretend to act all shocked whilst thinking, 'I'm gonna use that line in a book.'

message 839: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Hahaha

Meat-free sausages definitely don't have the same effect.... feeling kinda cheated :(

message 840: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Meat free???

Back to the rechargeable batteries conversation, are we?

message 841: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments lol and fakes ones :(

message 842: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Haha! I'm so going to use that line thanks, Patti, you know me so well!

I used to eat quorn sausges, Lorraine when I was a veggie.

message 843: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments They don't really appeal to me :(

message 844: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Eaten with lashing of ketchup and you can't go wrong! :-)

message 845: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Ok,. might give them a try one day :)

message 846: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) Nice as a Toad in the Hole too.

message 847: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Is it that stuff full of gravy?

message 848: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) It's sausages in yorkshire pudding but up north they do serve it with lashings of gravy.

message 849: by Lorraine (new)

Lorraine Versini (lorraineversini) | 8438 comments Oh ok... not that keen on gravy lol.

message 850: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Mel! Lots of lashings today, darling! Has someone been visiting the dungeon? ;)
