Loved the BBC interview with two girls who'd been participating in the looting. Their comments: "It was good fun." They also kept saying "innit" for isn't it and whatever they were talking about, that "innit" was all I could hear. I think they talked about how it wasn't "nicking" if they were taking things from rich people, rich people being defined by these girls as people who own small shops in their shitty section of London.

1) an unarmed agency is useless.
2) an unarmed populous is defenseless against mob action

I imagine if those two girls/ladies/hoodlums were shot at then this whole thing would gave ended days ago. I understand some peice of shit was shot and killed by law enforcement. But so what. They made a mistake. If he wasn't a complete shit they wouldn't have been following him in the first place. relieve the officer and have done with it. Find out why he shot/ felt he needed to shoot and articulate that to the public. I find it funny that this started over some hood rat getting capped, and turned into a class warfare riot.
