Not yet, but they are both on my wish list. I have beens "saved" from buying them because the bookstore never has them in when I go in. :) One day I will probably break down and order them. There are 2 according to Long Stones Throw. Have you read them?

I read A Monk Swimming A Memoir many years ago and it wasn't bad but I prefer Frank. It was interesting seeing another persons perspective of basically the same events.

Gave up on Dubliners after forcing myself through 3 stories. I may have just been in the wrong state of mind but they seemed so tedious and pointless. I'm sure if I were feeling analytical I could get some great life altering meaning from them but not today. Started In the Woods and am over halfway through. So far I'm really enjoying it, I would still be reading except it was started to get really good and I figured I should stop before I was up all night.

In the Woods is fantastic. I read it over the summer last year, and I finished the whole thing in about a day, I just couldn't put it down. I hear there's a sequel, but I'm not sure what it's called.
Does anybody know?

The sequel is The Likeness A Novel
I'm glad to hear that you guys enjoyed it. I read it fairly quickly, but was quite disappointed with the ending. I have The Likeness sitting on my shelf, but I can't bring myself to read it quite yet, in case the end of it is as disappointing to me as In The Woods was.

I just finished Wuthering Heights and then someone recommended My Sister's Keeper to me. It was amazing! I read it in less than three days. I would recommend it to everyone. Now I've started Dedication by the girls who wrote Nanny Diaries. Lolita's next on the list.

I'm reading Lolita right now. The writing is fantastic..I'm just having a hard time stomaching it.

I am currently reading Lover Avenged, the newly released 7th book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and I Capture the Castle.

I am greatly enjoying both.

I just finished Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight An African Childhood and loved it. It is one of my favorites and I hadn't really planned on reading it but once I started I had to finish. Also started B Is for Beer, Tom Robbins new book and it is really good so far. It is written as a children's story so it doesn't have any of his over the top sexual references but it still has great imagery and metaphors, and it is about beer so how could that be bad .

Have you read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by him?? I loved that one too. I have this one sitting on my bookshelf..I saw the movie and LOVED it!

I've heard not to read them too closely together. So perhaps read it after you've read a few others..at least this is what the consensus is. I think that is why I've chosen to wait so long. I want to appreciate his style in two separate instances..far apart from each other.

I only read Sabriel years ago so I'm glad that I'm finally reading the rest of the trilogy---it's so exciting! =D Am now moving on to Abhorsen =)

I'm reading Lolita right now. I'm having a hard time getting through it. The writing is fantastic..it is more just the subject matter.

I just finished When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris. I think you all read this for the monthly challenge, at least from what I can tell. I have mixed feelings about the book since I love Sedaris' older books like Naked and Me Talk Pretty One Day. I just started Animal, Vegetable, Miracle A Year of Food Life, which seems pretty good so far.

"Interview with a Vampire" is next on my list! My friend really enjoyed it so she's letting me borrow her copy. I about fell out of my chair when my rather conservative Aunt told me that she not only enjoyed that book, but that she owned the entire series. lol.

I hope everyone is enjoying Slaughterhouse Five--I had to read that last year for a class, and I really liked it. It was a perfect introduction to Vonnegut!

Right now, I'm reading Stephen King's Just After Sunset, which is the most recent collection of short stories he has published. I love it so far--just like sinking back into a big, comfy chair! :)

Kimberly, that's awesome haha. It is very erotic, but there is no sex or sexually explicit anything. It just gives you a feeling... I really enjoyed Interview with a Vampire, but I'm scared to read the other books in the series! Haha I'm afraid they'll get worse, some reviews have given me that impression.

I read God Bless You, Dr. Kevorkian by Kurt Vonnegut today. It's really funny and thought provoking. Love that Vonnegut! Afterwards, I started on Slaughterhouse Five, finally!

Justine, how did you like Firefly Lane? I read the first chapter or so online once and it seemed pretty good.

Jess, it was pretty good. Not great or very exciting - I think I've read three other books almost exactly like this.
