Well the first one is our Fantasy book for the month, Fortress in the Eye of Time by C.J. Cherryh. There are 5 of them so far.

Christine | 638 comments Thanks Sandra; I've put a reserve in on that book at my library

I don't like that "so far" at the end of your sentence. I generally don't read a series till it's completed, but every so often there needs to be an exception, as in Janny's WoLaS and this series.

Well it's fairly complete at the end of #5, but many questions remain. I'm a big advocate for another book in the series, and in the Q&A thread, CJ says she'll write it as soon as her website brings her enough income to do so. The series got derailed in the big publisher reorganization of the early 2000's, like Janny Wurts WoLaS series did! ARGH!

Here's a link to her site: http://www.closed-circle.net/WhereItsAt/

Also, I follow discussions at this site: http://www.closed-circle.net/WhereItsAt/ There are links at the top to the discussions. Foreigner is most active, but I've also posted in the Fantasy thread.

Thanks! I saw that in the Q&A thread, but it kind of slipped past my brain. Thanks for the link, too.

You're welcome :)

Staci | 47 comments August has been a slow month for me. So far I've finished a couple of mysteries and The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, which I really enjoyed. I've been working on Fortress in the Eye of Time by C. J. Cherryh, The Alchemyst by Michael Scott and Beauty: A Retelling of the Story of Beauty and the Beast by Robin McKinley. The only one I'll probably get finished by the end of the month is The Alchemyst, the other two I'm reading in print format so that usually takes me longer.
