What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)

that's good to know. I am working up to that book. Finished High Heels are Murder. I like all..."
I think I actually like the Mystery Shopper series better now. Used to be the other way around, but the last Dead-End Job one I read was a bit "out there".

Love this series the best!!

I LOVE this one!! My favorite in the series!

I took a break from Albert because the books were becoming repetitious. This one was pretty good--she brought back The Whiz, sort of. Still don't like the chapter headings telling you that McQuaid is the subject--I can figure that out for myself by the setting. Glad she's calling Sheila by her name more often--not fond of her nickname and would probably have a fit if anyone called me that to my face.

This is one fun read. A bit too hectic at times and too many characters to the ratio of page numbers but overall a solid read. I like ..."
I like this series but I agree about the doormat thing with Sophie -- it drives me batty.

I've got to remember to buy this one. I didn't realize that the third installment was out already. So many wonderful cozies, so little time . . .

This series is fun, fun, fun! I really like Emma and of course Granny Apples. Love the California settings in the books and can't w..."
Glad you enjoyed it! I also loved the first in the series and have the second one waiting to go....

Very enjoyable and cute. Some of the antics, especially at the end, were a tad over the top even for my taste. I didn't like it quite as much as the first two ..."
This is a new series. Did you mean her other series - the cupcake mysteries?

Also read Cleo Coyle's On What Grounds. It was okay, and I will give the next book in the series a try. It's about a woman in New York City who manages, and is part owner of, a coffeehouse. Her ex-husband is an equal owner and provides the conflict factor.

I just finished The Thirteen Problems by Agatha Christie. It was good, but I still prefer Hercule Poirot!

Dru, I have Double-Booked for Death in TRB, how did you like it?

I really liked the ending of this book!

Just tore through Broken Dishes. First one in the series I didn't love. Didn't dislike it, just only liked it. Three stars.

I really liked the endin..."
I liked the ending also. Very choked up. This is one of my favorite series.

I finished Books Can Be Deceiving by Jenn McKinlay and I really enjoyed it. I liked it even more than her Cupcake Mysterie..."
This one looks really good!
I ordered her first in the Cupcake mystery, if i like her writing i will look for this one as well!

I just finished two of her Christmas mysteries and really enjoyed them as well.

And since I'm stuck at work waiting for the slowest download EVER, I've just zipped through 2 short-stories:

i loved this book and the characters work brilliently together i cant wait to get the next one lol

Hugh Grant *would* make an excellent Lord Peter! :)

Around the same time, I also finished

that's good to know. I am working up to that book. Finished High Heels are Murder. I like all of Elaine Viets books so far. Which series do you like best? The mystery shopper or dead-end job?
