What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)

We had co employee who set the microwave on fire and left the room went in her office and closed the door saying loudly It stinks in here. What a princess she always was.

I am slowly working my way through both the Agatha Raisin and Hamish Macbeth series in audio books between other books. I think I am savoring them by spreading them out. A co-worker has both series so am freeloading :-)

LOL Agatha just unplugged it and carried it out to her backyard. She shrugged it off. She had microwaved a foil dish for 45 mins.

"I loved all of the Barbara Michaels books, with the exception of Other Worlds, her last one. She writes as Elizabeth Peters as well, in case you didn't know and her stand alones are really good there as well. Enjoy reading her books! "
I read the first one in the Amelia Peabody series but it was kind of slow going. I started the 2nd one and couldn't get passed the part where they had left their young son for quite awhile (how could anyone do that). Always wondered if they got better as the series went along.

Kimmie, to be honest, I couldn't get into the Amelia Peabody either. i tried the first one twice and never got into it. Peters other books though are really good. My favorite is The Love Talker.

I love the Agatha Raisin series, too, although she is hard to take sometimes. As well, I'm a big fan of the Pennyfoot Hotel series mentioned above. I have the newest one here to read next.

I enjoyed Valerie Malmont's books and regret that she didn't write more. Don't know if publisher wasn't up for it or what.

The books are just as fun. The whole series of Hildegard Withers was written for the actress that is in the movies. Having seen the movies too, I get the picture of the actress in my head while I read.

A Murder is Announced is one of my TOP 3 Agatha Christie murders! Definitely my favorite Miss Marple. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

I thought it was just so-so in the beginning of the book, but loved the ending.

I felt the same way, Shay. The ending saved the whole book!
Finished Dearly Depotted by Kate Collins Saturday night, and started next in the series this evening (after starting and finishing a non-cozy this afternoon).

An excellent read. I haven't been disappointed yet by Louse Penny and recommend her highly.

I love Lucy Valentine. I can't wait for the next one!

This is the only one I haven't read. i'm so glad you liked it!

I didn't really like the first book, Town in a Blueberry Jam, very much. But, figuring it was the author's first book I thought I'd give the second a try since it was at the library. I don't think I would have bought the book, though. Oh well, I'll push it further down the stack.

I love this series!

Caroline,
My mom is actually friends with and lives close by Valerie Malmont. She is in her 80s now. Her husband was just killed in a car accident a couple of weeks or so ago. Really has nothing to do with the series, but I thought i'd share. :)

(((Deborah))) I know what a difficult time this can be. I had to put down my cat (age 20) a few years ago and still miss her.
Finished Snipped in the Bud before bed last night. I have more in this series on the TBR shelf, but need a break from them. Now reading a non-cozy won from GR.
