What Cozy Did You Just Finish Reading??? (Archive)
Just finished Murder Buys a T-shirt
I liked bluebeard, the mystery was good for first in series. I did figure out who the killer was half way through
Just finished
by Laura Childs. While I've enjoyed the series overall I was a little let down with this one. I'm sure I will read the rest of them but may take a break for a while.

...and it was pretty good."I read the second in this series, The Walled Flower, earlier this month and had mixed feelings about it. Don't know if I'll read the next one. Though I am planning to check out her Booktown series.
I just finished reading
, the first in the series, and really liked it! Katie, the heroine, is very down-to-earth and I enjoyed the mystery. Very nice cozy! (And yummy descriptions of all the baked goods, with two recipes in the back of the book!)
I *just finished
, and really enjoyed it. Not sure what's up next, I need to check library due dates before I decide :)
I finished Dead Man Waltzing yesterday but I was quite disappointed with the ending; I thought it was a bit far-fetched and the way Stacy came up with the murderer's identity didn't convince me. I like this series, however, and hopefully the next book will be better. We'll see...
Just finished
and really enjoyed the subject matter of a seance in the Winchester House. This is the first one I've read in this series. Might go back and do the previous two.

Just finished Every Trick in the Book. Meh. Not as good as the first book. Many moments of me saying to the book "Oh, are you kidding me?!" Main character, Lila, has become a bit of a melodrama queen and her love interest, Sean, too puppy eyed...

I just finished reading
, and really enjoyed it. Guess I'll have to make a new category, though - "steamy cozy mystery!" A fun read with a smart heroine and quirky characters in Gator Bait!
Read
There Goes the Bride. Post blizzard where my town got the highest snowfalls in the region followed by two days without water, Agatha's acerbic wit was just the tonic.
Just finished
and was disappointed. I know lots of people loved this one, but I found it flat and lifeless. Even halfway through I still didn't care about the characters or the story. Doubt I'll read any more in this series.
Biblophile wrote: "Just finished

I read the first one in this series and wasn't crazy about it. I picked the new one up at Target last week, so am giving it another shot!
I really like it Melodie but could see how it is not for everyone. I like the ghosts - they grew on me.
Just finished
and it just so-s0. Rather slow and plodding. Been hitting a real slump in the books I've been picking lately.
I just finished A Novel Way to Die. It was absolutely one of the best cozies I've ever read. The role that the cat plays is both fun and unusual, and by the end I realized what an intricate and clever puzzle the whole thing was.
Just finished
Hannah Swenson Mystery #2 by Joanne FlukeIt was my first Hannah Swenson mystery and I thought it was pretty good, although the recipes were starting to make me very hungry!!
I'm putting the series down on my library list and will read another one someday. (might be soon, might not be, who knows!)

You know there's another one out right?
Vanity, Vengeance And A Weekend In Vegas
It's sitting on my TBR pile waiting....
Yup Jennifer that is the one the author self published. I have the audio version to listen to at some point.

finished Singing Sands by Josephine Tey. I loved it! it is unusual, much of the story is about the main character, Inspector Grant himself, as he goes to Scotland to recover from a meltdown brought about by overwork. you aren't sure if the victim was murdered, and when you do find out, it isn't too long before you suspect who did it. but the whole story was fascinating to me, taking place decades ago in a Britain that really doesn't exist anymore. Tey has wonderful observations and a wonderful sense of humor.

Finished
and really liked it. I find this series interesting due to the info about buttons. Who'd have ever thought buttons were interesting??

When fabric stores were closing in the 70's I bought huge amounts of zippers/ribbon/lace/buttons and fabric which I have used through the years. So when you said vintage it reminded me of my wonderful stockpile in the garage bins and a trunk.

Just put down Veiled Revenge: A Crime of Fashion Mystery. I love this series! Such a fabulous fun read! :)
I just finished
. I would not classify this book as a Cozy Mystery. I'm not sure how to classify this book at. The book is very twisted and about a very Taboo subject. I started reading this b4 I joined Goodreads and this great group! I recommend anyone thining about reading this book to read the reviews on Amazon first.http://www.amazon.com/The-Park-ebook/...
Just finished
. Couldn't put it down. I give it 5 stars, although I'm not sure if a reader who isn't already a fan of the China Bayles series would enjoy it as much as I did.
Biblophile wrote: "Just finished

just finished The Fine Art of Murder I always enjoy a Murder She Wrote book... I had to follow up with a couple of episodes on Netflix!
Melodie wrote: "China Bayles is among my favorites! Looking forward to

Read two Agatha Raisin mysteries, Busy Body and As The Pig Turns, in the last few days. The mysteries were good but I was annoyed by the inconsistencies between the two stories. A supporting character introduced in Busy Body had a significant and unexplained change in his background in the next book. And a significant development between Agatha and Charles was just dropped. Made me wonder if the same person wrote both stories.
