What is love when you are hiding your own shame behind your back? Spit it out and live a happy life, simple as. This is why Luce has gone on a journey, to find out about her past because Daniel is being all 'hey i want to save my own ass babe' and not telling her anything. Wouldnt it be better if he told her rather than let her see the painful pasts with her own eyes?
Jeez Daniel, i swear Luce would love you more if you were truthful, and not just flying around and loving her because you are 'hiding' your past. Plus, if Luce did love Daniel, she would not have kissed Miles, she would have pushed him away and thought of only Daniel and done as he said because he wanted to keep her little sorry ass 'safe'.
Daniel's love for Luce is 1,000 degrees, whereas Luce's love for Daniel is -1,000 degrees. I am NOT happy with LUCE. I want to grab a pan and smack her hard in the head, so that she understands that the boy she loves in an angel and he has always been there for her. He took his time to take her flying, to go and explore with her, she trotted around the globe with a broken heart after she died and she does NOT recognise how much torture he has been though. It really aches to say this but Luce does not give a shit about Daniel, if she did, she would not DOUBT him, she DOES, therefore she can remain DOUBTFUL, and lose out on a love she would only dream of. Daniel needs a full heart, and Luce is the only one that can mend it, but atm she is all MILES and maybe someone else might pop up in her life and she would be all 'Daniel, you are not for me, oh i am so sorryy but you wanted all those lives on me' and Daniel would go all bonkerz and 'I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE UP ON YOU LUCE! CANT YOU SEE ITS HURTING ME, BURNING ME, WHEN YOU ARE NOT WITH ME I AM SUFFERING AND I AM BLEEDING AND I AM SO SAD LUCE PLEASE DONT DO THIS TO BE!'
Oh well, i hope Luce opens up her eyes and embraces the fact that Daniel loves her, even though he might have spent some time to pass with other women.

Luce is supposed to be with Daniel, from the beginning to the end. Luce can only see Daniel, and her soul, as confused as it can be, will always be Daniel"s. She loves only Daniel. She might feel something for Cam (oh yes, for Cam is hot!) and Miles (she regrets the kiss afterward) for that is what teenagers do, expanding their tastes in anything (and because Luce is a bit lame? hahahaha... meanie me!) but she does not love them as she always loves Daniel.

Luce for anyone but Daniel? Gimme a break! Read Fallen, Torment and Passion please!

I can't read six pages, but I did skim. As much as there are rules, regulations, and what not I still find Daniel's behavior to be manipulative. I just finished reading Passion and I just don't like who Luce is with Daniel. She completely forgets herself.

Obviously the story is going to end with her and Daniel having a happily ever after.

However, if this was a real world situation Cam or Miles would make a better boyfriend/partner/etc. They're more direct and even with all the "rules" and though we're suppose to think Cam is "bad" I just found him to be more honest and now that I read Passion, and know his backstory, I want to root for the guy more. Not necessarily to be with Luce, but damn his situations sucks. I'd like him to have a happily ever after.

I don't get why Luce can be so forgiving of Roland, but not Cam.

Oh well.

I want to see how the series ends, but I don't get the big fuss over Daniel. I know he's the romantic lead, and we should like him, but he doesn't get my attention the way other characters do. I'll say this much, he wasn't as annoying as he was in Torment. I almost lost all interest in the series after Torment, because of Daniel's behavior.

Daniel flipped Luce because he was afraid of making a wrong choice again. He just don't want Luce to feel close to him to avoid the tragedy from happening again. Daniel doesn't want Luce to die again. That's the only reason. :)

I'm not one to ship other characters together because generally I read romance novels to feel that connection two characters feel for each other, and I generally like to keep my emotional ties to the books as straight as possible--keep my reading life a bit less dramatic than my real life. I believe that Daniel truly is her match and I think more of you, those who have not read the fourth one yet, will see their relationship grow more and I think you will come to like Daniel again. During Torment I was fed up with him and during Passion :SPOILER ALERT: I fell in love with how desperately he worked to help her and to keep her safe. What I love most about this pairing :SPOILER ALERT: is that he treats her like an equal and is truly supportive. I think those elements are missing in classical literature and in contemporary fiction.

I reckon either Miles or Cam :) . I feel for Miles coz i think he genuinely loves Luce and it obvious he would do anything for her plus his such a cutie :) Cam don't get me started about Cam i've liked him over Daniel since the start of the book. I feel that Cam has deep feelings for Luce but he doesn't wanna show it coz he wants to play the tough guy. Plus his always checking up on her and getting his hands dirty fighting away the bad guys you don't see Daniel doing that and when he does come to check on her its always a fight. Daniel is my opinion because he chose to act like a mean jackass (keeping secrets, very possessive and kinda bossing over Luce) just because he wanted Luce get the best. He sacrificed far more than his previous versions and hence he is the best choice for her. There are things which matter more than just mad and deep love and two of those are sacrifice and responsibility which Daniel possessed throughout
