Not sure what to read next - at least the days of thinking 'cant start x cos I'm going away in a few days are gone!!' I really want to read Children of the Fog but think I might read a couple of shorts and leave that for the plane journey.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it so much Jud. :)
Where are you flying off to, Desley?

I started The Anthology of Murder by Lia Fairchild, quite enjoying it

Giving A Discovery of Witches a go next.

think i need a little substance next though...

Started Through Glass Eyes by Margaret Muir."
I loved 'Into the darkest corner'. It was horrible but brilliant too!

Although it was an extreme example of domestic violence, I thought the build up of control was very believable, as was the OCD. I thought the book was very well written.

Ah. I read one then couldn't imagine reading another. Struggled to finish the one I did read, to be honest...

I agree, but then some people are extremely charismatic and some easily flattered! They can't have been true friends.

Started Hawk's Tor following Pat's recommendation.

Thanks very much for reading them, Lorraine. And for the 4* rating for The Kult. Much appreciated.

Sorry they weren't all to your taste, Desley, but thanks for giving it a go.

I'm sure there's not much difference in them, Mel ;)

No, I was right, it's the third one. Jane Casey has only written 4 novels (and I've read them all). Her first novel, The Missing, was a standalone novel - not part of the Maeve Kerrigan series at all.

much more to get my teeth into than dear old Agatha - but i think she will still have a place when i need something cosy and nobrainer...

Desley, can I suggest Shaun's

The best collection of short stories I've read in ages. I'm still haunted by some them and I read it months ago.

Still deciding what to start next but meanwhile have bought the book Kath mentioned above:@)
I'm just catching up with this thread - haven't visited any forums much lately, though I do still lurk here a little to check the freebie thread.
After finishing Strictly Murder the other week, I haven't read anything properly, just dipped in and out of things, or been studying crochet patterns! I was starting to go a bit made last night so decided I needed a break so started an Agatha Raisin book last night (was amused to read the unenthusiastic views here). I've been reading them one or two at a time with long breaks inbetween. I enjoy them that way. I'm reading Agatha Raisin and the Murderous Marriage and am almost half way through already - I'd forgotten how short they were. It's just right as a light hearted read to stop my mind constantly going over crochet patterns!

I think it would be a bit much to read too many in one go - like eating too many sweets...

Just finished Harrison Davies' first book The Aduramis Chronicles: Destiny of the Wulf. Very busy at the beginning but he settled into his style and I really enjoyed the last half. More to come!
