I read it several months ago and was just thinking about how good it was. Too bad I can't remember it! It's a young adult book, set on the east coast, although I can't remember exactly where. The majority of it takes place at the boarding school.

Basically, it's about a girl who's father is the headmaster of the boarding school she goes to. She lives in a dorm room with her best friends, one of whom has the compulsion of pulling her hair out.

She then meets a boy who's mysterious and dangerous and even though her father warns her against it, she gets caught up with and ends up pregnant. She gives the baby up for adoption.

She also finds out that her mother is not really her mother and there's this great epic mystery involved with her family.

That's a basic synopsis. It was a pretty crazy and involved book. I'm going totally insane trying to remember the name of this book! Any help would be excellent! :)
