I like the paranormal team names idea.

For R2 of bingo, everyone (I think) picked names that played off of whatever team number they were. For example, I was on the Sixie Chicks. I don't really remember any other names. (There was the Oneders, maybe?)

Alyssa, that's how it was for round 1, too. Some teams used their team number to pick a team name, and others just picked something fun.

Round 2 I was on team 1, the ONEders, but round 1 I was on team 2 and we were The GLOB--The Gorgeous Ladies of Bingo. ;)

I wouldn't pay to see her either, LOL! I like (some) of her music, but the radio is just fine thank you very much. I don't want to look at her while I listen. Urgh!

It's been bad here in Illinois too. Monday was 110 - 115 with the heat index and yesterday was almost as bad. Rain and cooler winds came through overnight, so thankfully today has been better. Hopefully it makes it way over to you soon!

You'll laugh, but it was the coldest day in 40 yrs here yesterday, about 45F. And I was freezin. Today looks to be about 56F. And I'm still cold though at least we've got sun today.

This past February, I got up at sunrise and it was -13F. It warmed up to a stifling 1F around noon that day. I was snowed in so I stayed inside and read.

It's been between 103-107 the last week but I don't mind so much.

I gave the day time temp, it gets below 0C (32F) every night, with frost and everything. LOL

And yep I had my coat on and my ugg boots and a rug to snuggle in.

Difference here is we don't really do heaters. I've got a little elec blower which I don't turn on during the day or the a/c which I try not to turn on either.

@Sandra, LOL! Oh, okay then. That's more like it. Ah, I see why you're cold then. Do you have hot water bottles or electric blankets? They might help. Have you had any snow? It was -10C here during the day at Christmas and -19C at night. Brrr! And energy prices have just risen. I fixed my bills for a year on Monday so I won't feel it. I'm not freezin' my ass off this winter.

It's not like that all the time, thankfully. The next day it got up to 20F so I could go outside again. I'm from much further south (us) than I live now. I don't care for the cold but I like the hot just fine.

Oh zip it, Sandra--45F is unseasonably warm for an Illinois winter day--let's see, July for you would be the equivalent of January for me...yes, definitely unseasonably warm. :)

And Jackie, don't say that! Today was our first break in the heat wave (in IL), so if it's heading for you in MN, it's heading this way next. Blech. It was a very cold and very snowy winter, and now a very hot summer.

Ugh, I just checked the weather, and the 90's will be back on Saturday, for 5 straight days. And we're still 2.5 weeks from August, when the real heat hits. Did I say Ugh? But at least I won't be alone--I read that it's going to be in the 90's in 34 states by Sunday. *It's like a heat wave...*

I can understand. It's all relative. We were soooo cold when we lived in Hawaii and the "winter" was in the mid-high 50's. But, when you're used to 24/7 80+, the 50s are cold. Or at least felt cold to us at the time. Our visiting family members were sweatin' and we were wearing jackets. LOL!

LOL! Certain places just aren't big on heaters or A/C for that matter. I didn't have either when I lived in Hawaii. And, I might as well not have had an A/C in Australia for the good that damnable swamp cooler thingy did.

Girl, I hear ya! Not on the heating bill but electric. Just got our latest ¥ to $ conversion we're lookin' at $500+. OUCH! It's just so damn hot. LOL! In my defense, I'm going without A/C during the day when I'm home alone for as much as I can, hubby's the full-blast kinda guy. LOL!

Well, I've got ducted a/c just don't like turning it on cause I don't like paying the elec bill. LOL

Definitely have hot water bottles & elec blankie. I love my elec blankie. LOL

Sydney doesn't get snow, our closest snow field is half way between Syd & Melbourne, about 600 miles south of here.

Summer in January we can get 41C (about 106F) so we tend to focus more on that than the short cold snap.

And I do think myself lucky to live here and not where you get all that snow and bitter coldness. But we all like to whinge wherever we are. LOL
