i know huh they are better i thought i would never find a book better but i was wrong yeah!!!!

And reading Cassandra Clare's trilogy of the mortal instruments was completely different. More exciting and I even read the books while my classes at college xD I couldn't stop reading. And now I have plenty of images in my head, showing me all the charactere of the books and it's totally like they're chasing me. :D
Crazy.

I love Jasper too!

I agree, never a dull moment in MI.

No i love Jaces Personality
and Jace is trustworthy as well
ohhhhhhhhhh
Jaces face and hair and eyes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Twilight isn't really a book I enjoyed all that much. The Mortal Instruments were way more interesting and there was never a slow moment. It was edge-of-the-seat reading and I couldn't put it down!!! It was so realistic and had waaay better characters that were fun to read about. Plus, the humour in TMI is HILARIOUS!!!!!
The Twilight Saga was the first series I really got into (after Harry Potter). At first, I loved it. I thought it was incredible, but the more books I read, the more I’ve come to realize that it wasn’t nearly as good as I originally thought. I like the story, but I truly love The Mortal Instruments more.
I’ll admit, when I first read Twilight, I had a character crush on Edward. But after reading books like Shiver (OMG, you have to love Sam) and The Mortal Instruments, I’ve seen male characters who are even more devoted and caring and perfect.
And with Shiver and TMI, you get to see into the guy’s head, which I love. It’s so hard to do that with a first person POV novel (without making the guy sound overly emotive). With Shiver, you get to see how Sam views Grace, and it’s refreshing and that much more interesting because you *know* what he’s feeling. With Twilight, Edward had to tell Bella how he felt. I do love some of his quotes, but (and maybe I’m just a cynic here) it would be hard for me—in Bella’s place—to really believe everything Edward said.
When he said, “Bella, when I told you I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest form of blasphemy,” it just seemed like a guy trying to say whatever he needed to get the girl to forgive him.
That doesn’t mean I don’t like the quote. As I said before, there are several Edward quotes I love, but I just would have a hard time believing them if I were in Bella’s place.

EXACTLY.
EXACTLY.

i find that twilight is more of a romance, love story and TMI is more action/adventure.comedy wit a love story. and twilight is more paranormal romance where TMI is more urban fantasy. so its hard to comare them. twilight being my first book series ive ever read(yea, i knoe, ive been mising out on a lot) i will always love twilight for that, for getting me to read, so i will neva hate this series. but i also loved TMI. and i find them completely different stories.

i heart everyone in the book XXD
same here! MAGNUS AND JACE are my favourites!!!

And for the Mortal Instruments its like twilight all over again, but in a totally different concept, but without the whole vampire stuff, (thank god) at least their not the leading characters. With MI Its like, what was lacking in twilight was amazingly portrayed in MI, I loved Jace character his too different from Edwards character, they're two different personalities (literally and figuratively). I'm really glad I still have Cassandras novel to look forward to, after the twilight craze was ruined for me.
"There's just too many Vampire novels and series now a days, that the concept is getting dull and uneventful, they all look like pale gorgeous men with major dental problems." :)

Me too. I read it just as it was getting really popular and then the hype totally killed it for me.

OMG. same here. When everyone wanted to start being a part of the whole twilight craze thing, i was like, i gave up on it. partly because of the movies and everyone was trashing twilight because of new moon. new moon had horrible lines in the movie. it was really bad. when i watched eclipse, i had no interest in it anymore. twilight has no space in my mind. it's reserved for the Mortal Instruments and the Hunger Games. I just hope they make the movies as good as they did for Harry Potter in TMI Series and THG Trilogy.

i knoe. they better make TMI movies like harry potter. the harry potter movies r amazing and i seriously cant wait for DH part 1.

mortal instruments are sooo much better then the twilight sereis

It's hard to find characters like Jace and Will and I just love that. Cassandra Clare is my favourite author!!!! Twilight is what got me started on reading and thats the only thing I appreciate from it. But, SHADOWHUNTERS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!

be a vampire like Edward Cullen. Right?

Vampires? Werewolves? NAH. SHADOWHUNTERS ALL THE WAY, BABY!!! We get to wear black and draw on ourselves. oh. yeah.

totaly agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my best friend watched the first twilight movie and got totally obsessed with it. at first I don't wanted to go along, but then I saw the first movie as well and I got at the first moment totally into it. I loved the character Edward and so I read all the books afterwards with such joy and speed, I hadn't had before. (I'm also a huge harry potter fan, but it wasn't so fast to read in my opinion). Then the second movie come out and i really didn't like it, mostly because of the cullens different look, and edward looked so bad *urgh*. But I stilled liked the book, though I don't like Jacob and this stupid Bella, at first always "edward edward" then she had him and she wasn't sure any more if she wanted him or now jacob.. then this was over, and then all that she cared was her baby... and also edward got so sensitive - tooo much. But all in all a good book.
and now 2 weeks I started to read the MI series because Stephenie Meyer recommendet it and I got again totally into it. I almost eat them like a horse and finished all three books in 2 weeks - I couldn't think about other things *crazy*.
so, I can't really choose which one is better, I would say now "MI" cause I just read in and I totally adore jace and clary, but I don't know what happens if i read twilight again now.
what i can say is, that I've read twilight before MI and so when I read MI now, I often got reminded of twilight. Though the main characters are not vampires, but some relations or situations are almost the same. There were also some parts of MI which reminded me of Star wars
1) City of Bones: the party of Magnus in the middle of the book, where Cassandra discribed the attending guys and the people aroung... that reminded me very much of Star wars.
2) The relation between Clary, Jace and Simon is like/ were like the one with Bella, Edward and Jacob: Both boys are in love with an ordinary girl and she's the only one who doesn't know it. And at first the boys hate eachtother and in the end the even like eachother...
3) City of Glasse: When Isabelle told Clary about the way Jace changed when Clary got into his live and how Isabelle see he loves Clary and so on - thats like the situation in the third twilight book when Rosalie tells Bella how Edward got to "live" when Bella got into his live...
4) and in both books the one would die for eachtother and afterwards the both are always afraid if the other one really loves them....
what do you say?

i used to be a huge twilight fan until i read the MI series and was like wow soooooooooooooooooooooo much better!!!!!!!!
