lol, definitely. She clearly picked up some book on 'how to write your novel' and based her entire series on that- that whole magnets metaphor in the third one was pathetic!

OMG thank you WTF was that, i literary wanted to throw my book at a wall. i was SO waiting for some excitement out of that book, but nooooooooo it ends up with the worst happily ever after ending i've EVER read. i don't like super happy endings in general though

yeah, they can be annoying. It tends to be much more realistic when somebody dies- but I can't exactly say i was pleased about max in city of glass! I literally bawled.

SO many people died though! Dobby, lupin, tonks, FRED WEASLEY.... i was so so upset. And I thought the epilogue was sweet. Except the name of Harry's child, that was a bit cruel.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the twilight saga,but once I found out about the mortal instruments I became a die hard fan.. It's so compelling and not that twilight isn't, it's just that though twilight does have action scenes it's mainly just about Edward and Bella. The MI series is too about clary and Jace, but there is an actually war and such. Without the background of downworlders, shadowhunters and demons it would just be a plain ole love story. (: plus you only really have werewolves and vampires in twilight. In MI there is almost anything mythical you can imagine lol

The Mortal Instruments is SOOO UNDERRATED & OVERLOOKED. I tried to get so many of my friends to read it, thinking they'd love it as much as I do, but they all choose Twilight over MI. I love the Twiligth Saga, but when I read MI, I fell in love. I didn't think anything could top Twilight, but when I read these books, I couldn't NOT love it! I am in LOVE with the Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices. I can't wait for either. I just simply don't understand why more people aren't into this series.

BUT... I don't want it to be turned into a cult book like the Twilight Saga & have all this hype then people will only read it because it's a movie because it takes away from the book too. So, I choose Mortal Instruments. Definitely.

MI all the way. Better story. Better character development. More action. More drama. I got some of my friends hooked up with both MI, and Twilight. Though they might like Twilight more because they can imagine themselves as Bella...literally.

Is it so wrong to love both series? I love the Twilight series and read that first. It made me want to find other fantasy books to read and I found the Mortal Instruments books. I love them too! I think when you truly enjoy reading you don't have to pick. You can have it all!!!!!!

i just really hope i won't be disappointed, cause my expectation is growing everyday now for this book, since i hear so many good things about it. i love Sci-fi so i'm guessing i'll really enjoy it.

Nope, no spaceships or aliens :L
It's actually pretty basic- the main girl goes hunting in the forest and lives in this little tiny house. It is in the future, but I wouldn't class it as sci-fi.
