Books will show up in the cover section the same number of times that the book was read (I want to keep track of 'most books read' and it's easy to see which books are read more than once by looking at the covers.) So Pleasure Unbound shows up twice one after the other because the ladies that did the buddy reads posted one after the other. :)Also, the date by your name is the date you posted you finished the book.
when your done with these - check out Henning Mankell, Karin Fossum and James Thompson (Nordic Noir is like my new addiction)Photojim wrote: "Dee wrote: "you might want book 3 ready ;)

Amanda & Heather, I made a buddy read thread for The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. It's here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...
Tina and I finished our Buddy Read of Beauty Queens 7/10. Overall I enjoyed the story and the girl-power feminist message. Parts of the story line were a little over-the-top and silly, but I really liked the girls emotional journey. It was fun reading it together Tina!

JoyceSorry to hear about your back. Hope it's better soon.
I've been taking it easy on Ghost Shadow, reading here and there between other books.

I finished Faefever...AWESOME BOOK!
I just finished my second book Hilda the Wicked Witch, which was a buddy read with Caroline. It was a short book, but I did find it entertaining!

I started reading Holiday in Death by J.D. Robb today! I'm very excited, I love Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb. However, it's kinda weird to read a book about Christmas in the middle of July ;)

I too have finished my 2nd buddy read for this pifm challenge. Hilda the wicked witch I really enjoyed this and found it quite funny x x

I finished Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas. I just love her books. I can't wait to read the next one in this series!

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! :)
I finished Jacob last night. Jane PS finished the buddy read before me. Seriously, the beginning of the book moves pretty slowly.

Candance getting ready to read one of your picks for me...
I'll let you know what I think when I'm done!

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Can't wait to start them x x
@ Suzanne - I think Daniel Craig will work, but I think the swedish version (have you seen it?) nailed the characters exactly like I imagined...Naomi Roop was Lizbeth - but Mikhail is only supposed to be in his 40's...isn't DC about that old?

I finished Night Pleasures last night and really enjoyed it!! I plan to continue to read more if this series.

I finished my third PIfM book this month. Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas was such a sweet short holiday story! I think it gave me that bit of holiday cheer that we all need for Christmas in July. Thanks Alisha for another great rec!

As for the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo US movie, I read an interesting article in the Feb '11 issue of 'W' where they do a photo spread and an interview with Rooney Mara (who plays the titular character). 1st - I don't want to hear anything about a heterosexual middle aged guy reading 'W'. 2nd - I'm really looking forward to it. 3rd - my favorite quote from the article is where Mara talks about her prep for the movie. She "... had her eyebrows bleached, her hair chopped, and her lip, brow, nose, and nipple pierced - all in one "very intense" day." Yeah. I'd call that an intense day. Cutting off all your hair? that can be traumatic. Having your eyebrows bleached? never had it done. Having four new piercings in an afternoon? sounds like a rough one to me.

Hey Penney,I actually got a few of your picks from the library and ended up reading Memoirs of a Geisha first. The way it was written was very poetic, Arthur really did a good job in letting her story be told. I hope to read some of the other books you had mentioned too.
Renee,
It is a wonderful story that I would really like to read again soon. I think I was so young that I missed some of the "deeper" themes. I'm really happy that you enjoyed it as well.
I'm really looking forward to the buddy read of How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf. I've been so busy that I haven't started any of the suggestions! But tomorrow I'll start one from Dee and the other from Jenn.
I think we have 12 readers for the Naked Werewolf read! And those of us in earlier timezones could have already started... :) I haven't yet though...

      Finished

July 12, 2011. Gave it 4 stars! I liked it! I did have issues with Tayla being so ...closed minded, even when presented with evidence of things otherwise. Looking forward to reading book 2! Thanks for the Rec!

Hey Freya - if you want to do the buddy read to Lessons in French, I'm in whenever you feel like it!! Let me know!!

keep forgetting there is more than 1 Dee now...because I was like - i'm not doing a buddy read!!D.G. ~Vile Temptress~ wrote: "I'm really looking forward to the buddy read of How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf. I've been so busy that I haven't started any of the suggestions!

I meant I was planning to start one book from the ones you recommended and the other from AlbertaJenn (she recommended Werewolf.)But I don't like the narrator from Between Shades of Gray so I'll have to get it from the library. Most likely I'll read the Fossum (which I already have in print) or The Turn of the Screw. I have the version narrated by Simon Vance so I'm looking forward to it.
      2. Moon - I see that you gave a 5-star rating for Outlander but don't have the next book in the series on your TBR. Though nothing compares to Outlander in my opinion, Dragonfly in Amber is pretty good reading. Finished on 7/10/11

      Finished

! It was a very interestng read. I had been putting it off, but I'm glad that I finally read it! I'm going to look over my list and see what else I'm going to read from my Picks! Thanks Candance for the Rec!

Ari I'm glad you enjoyed it. Memoirs is one of all time favorite books.
Hi Kate,I finished a second rec from you, Chasin' Eight. Although it wasn't my favorite from the series, I did enjoy it- thanks for the pick!
I am going to try and fit in one more this month, The Ghost on My Couch, if I can't get it in this month then definitely in August.
Kerste,I finished Flat-Out Sexy and it was great! I loved the story and the characters, the only thing that I didn't like was that the feud between the two families was never really resolved. I thought it would come up in the epilogue since they were all there together but it wasn't even mentioned. Maybe it's in a later book but I guess I can just imagine that everyone lived happily ever after! :D
Thank you again for the fantastic recommendations!
