Me: Because I tried to look it up, but the only thing I found out about mongooses is that they're completely illegal in New Zealand--and nothing about minks at all.

Me: Darn it. XD
I just thought it would be hilarious to give her some sort of weird pet. Mostly because in the movie The Raven, Poe has a raccoon and he's portrayed as rather eccentric, which has led me to believe that eccentric characters should have strange pets. XD

Me: Hmm okay cool. Well, you can have skunks and raccoons. XD Also, if you have a special permit, you can have exotic animals (lions, tigers, bears, oh my, alligators, etc)

Me: So, I need some help. What are some good ways to earn some money? I used to have about 200,but half of that is in the bank and the rest of it is gone accept for nine dollars. So..ideas anyone?

Me: And wolves and flippin' foxes, which would fit. But she'd never be able to bring it into the asylum. XD
Money, Faith. Why do you need it?

Me: Babysitting? Unfortunately, you aren't old enough for a 'real' job, not even under the table.
But a raccoon? A small one? That could be snuck in.

Me: Didn't Mrs. What's-Her-Name used to pay you for walking Jack?
@ Silvy: I need to look up the average size of raccoons, then, to see what qualifies as small. Then I need to decide as to whether I want to employ Deus Ex Machina and make it an unusually tame creature or more realistic (raccoons are often very aggressive.) XD Help me.

Me: Already do that. Get 20 a week, but it's only during the school year. :/. Actually, I am. I can work at Publixs and my favorite Frozen Yogurt shop. My dad won't let me work at Publixs(older people) and Yobe isn't hiring at the moment. So, I'm kinda out of luck. Damn. Lol.

Me: I don't know, but just...realism.
Carlos: It's okay to break the laws of reality. You can do this.
Me: But--
Carlos: Shhhh. Wrap your mind around the fact that it works.

Me: You could make it work if she had it while she was a baby and it could become tame that way.
Me: Hmmm...I could incorporate that into her history, I bet. Phoenix is an odd little child (because she has an odd little mother) and one day while she's crawling around outside as like a three-year-old she stumbles upon a little raccoon kit and she hugs it and Mom is just like "You want it? It's yours." XD

Me: She's gonna come from quite the odd family, I think.
If I make her German, would you chide me? All this foreignness makes me want to have a German. I could probably end up making that somehow significant, too, though. XD

Me: Because God I love Germans. XD
Okay, so here's how I think it could work. Phoenix's father dies in a freak accident before she's born, and soon enough her mother meets another man (a German one) and they get together. Then Phoenix is actually born, which...complicates the relationship--because her father really really really wanted a son--and he turns abusive towards the rest of his family. This could either result in one of two things: either Phoenix's fragility is a form of PTSD or she kills her stepfather, which leads to her getting caught, then evaluated, then sent here. Which do you like?

Me: For some reason I don't see Phoenix as fragile, not that PTSD makes you fragile, but I think of her as more of the killing type. Do you agree?
Me: Indeed. She's not coldblooded, but she's definitely not as kind as Luna. Her fragility (which is going to exist regardless) is more because she isn't entirely liable to trust rather than because she's just crazy. She's sly. Out of it. Like Foxface.

Me: Ummm well you said he beat her before, and her mother? So she's used to that, but she wouldn't like him harming or breaking something she really loves. Maybe he hurt her pet raccoon?
Me: Oooh, that could work.
But the more I think about it, the less Tom Cat seems to fit in with everything. I need some new problems. Hmmm...

We were almost along the same lines, we both thought of her throwing objects. Soo good enough! XD

Me: I love darts. My dad used to throw them back when we still had a board.
It can be like a stress-relieving activity, or a way to curve the desire to kill when she gets angry (because it's an easy solution to the problem.) I like that.

I have Calix, Cleo, Domonic, Drake, Rebecca, and I think that's it because Akantha is in her cast and I think Rosie needs a break.
