Ok, so I got the job of dealing with all the difficult authors? Why couldn't we have been a movie company and I could have been in charge of casting! Oh, the perks!
Hey, at least I was looking out for ya, Jenn!
BTW, Bruce is one of the best characters of all time. Yeah, he did a lot of action movies but I swear that in highschool I was trying to be his character off of Moonlighting.
Yeah, so...didn't work out lol.

BUT, while he may be a famous and rich movie star, I still have all my hair. So I got that going for me. Ok, so I would trade...lol

OK, OK - if I'd known it was an ebook I'd have already entered; the one I have on the way is a p-book ... not that mine is likely to be the funniest/most creative, but ... I gave it a go ...

Thanks a lot Jenn -- why do I have to be the bad guy? Agree about the dirty boots, though.

Not even Bruce Willis should be allowed to come into our place with dirty boots. In fact, everyone should be made to wear slippers.
Cassie - Gathering Leaves wrote: "Leave your shoes by the door! ;-)"Heh. Heheheh. It's DANGEROUS to walk in OUR place without shoes ... you never know what you might end up sticking your foot in ... LOL
then again, we're a bit slobbish ...
and I'm not getting ANYTHING accomplished!! OK, I'm doing actual editing now ... RIGHT NOW ...
Oh dear that did make me laugh. Phil, I can so see you saying that, too!heheheh
And that's fairly shrewd dream-casting for jobs there, Jenn, I can see all of those people in those roles...
Funny!

Mine's more like what you might step IN...LOL... I have three kids (one potty training) and a dog with an injured bladder (though he usually has his accidents by the back door)...

Oh my how I love you guys. Sorry you had to be the bag guy Phil! Maybe it was the Philly cheese steak pizza.Next dream I have, I'll try to get you a better part!

OMG, you want sad? To me, when all the bad guys from "House of 1000 Corpses"/"Devil's Rejects" were all killed off. Seriously, I cry. Yes, they are torturers and murderers but Rob Zombie made them personable and likeable so I didn't like when they got killed.
I know, I know. My mom nicknamed me Queen of Weird. (Although I spell it Wyrrd instead, just ask if you're wondering about that.)

I have never been able to get through Rob Zombie's movies! I just can't do it...
Morning everyoneCassie, have just finished potty training wee man. It wasn't going so well and then I realised, he had chicken pox and I didn't notice until week 3 (of the chicken pox, not the potty training). We haven't quite cracked pants as well as trousers or the er... wiping bit but hey.
I don't reandomly cry in movies that often but there are some that move or scare me in a way that makes them impossible to watch again. Saving Private Ryan is one. That scene where the German soldier kills the bloke with a knife really sinister and horrible.
And I'm way too drippy to read horror... oh dear.
Cheers

Talking of horror, was on the phone to my parents the other night and small female relative aged about 9 is really into her kids' horror books. She's quite creative and starting to write her own stuff too, which is pretty cool. The other night it had been a beautiful evening and she was sat outside under a tree in the last dimmings of dusk, just reading the last of the exciting bit before she went inside. It was getting pretty dark but the light from the living room was shining enough for her to read by, and it was a really good creepy bit and she was just waiting for the monster to jump out on the children and she was really focussed on it, reading away.....and all of a sudden a dead bat dropped out of the tree and fell on her book, inches from her face! Apparently she let out a yell that would've cracked glass, and fled inside, a quivering wreck, and then had to persuade her older sister to sleep in the spare room with her as she was afraid to sleep alone. Bless! But you know what the really funny thing is? The reason why she freaked out so much wasn't that a dead bat had fallen on her, but that she had initially thought it was a big spider!
heheheh...
Just give it ten or fifteen years though, and I can pretty much guarantee it'll turn up in paperback as an incident in some horror book...tremendous!

I got chicken pox when I was 28. Oh my. My face looked like hamburger and I was covered almost everywhere. I hope the little guy gets enough of a case to make him immune and not so much as to make him too sick.Splitter
Ouch, Splitter. I hear adult Chicken pox are so much worse than when you get them as a child. I actually have never had the chicken pox...
There is an immunization for it, Cambria. I caught it when I already had an appointment scheduled for the shot. With kids, might be something to look into. I saw cool colors though, now I know why some remember the 60's fondly.
Splitter
Yes, I have actually been vaccinated. They make you get vaccinated when you are thinking of getting pregnant because pox is so harmful to the fetus. So, I think I am covered. My kids have had the vaccine as well....At least you have the memories of the 60's. LOL
Thanks folks, he's nearly over it now. I hope he did get enough, it was just on his arms and face with a few on the torso. He has had the first bit before though, which is why I didn't really think it was anything until the spots blistered. Splitter, ouch that must have been grim at 28.
JAC... Argh and Mwah ha ha haargh in equal measure!
Cheers

We've made major progress with the potty training recently! The youngest two pretty much only wear something when they go to bed at night. Sometimes I put a pull up on the 2yo when we are going to be out for a while, just in case. It is actually much better for children to get the REAL chicken pox as kids than to depend on the vax. Of course, we don't vax at all, so I'm already opposed... I had them when I was about 7 or so? I remember I was in elementary school, but not exactly when. Anyway, I managed just fine. I only remember waking up really sick one morning and my dad checking my back...and then getting to stay home! :-) I have a couple scars (one on my leg and one right in my hairline). I actually wish my kids would go ahead and get them and get it over with! :-)
My mom never had them, but all her kids did. I just wonder if she had such a mild case she never knew???
Good going. Wee man still forgets if he's really excited about something, first day at pre-school, for example, which was just after his first dry night with no nappy. We have binned nappies completely! Wahooo! Now all we have to do is master the art of wiping his own bum (hmmm....) and wearing pants.Cheers

Mmm he seems quite chirpy. I am because I'm getting three days off although I've weed the entire blummin' morning to the four winds trying to put two songs onto my Nokia Phone - how difficult can they make it be for their interface application to correctly read the contents of a directory on my computer and copy it over to my phone? Difficult enough to take all of yesterday evening, until both the phone and notebook batteries died aaargh. I might have to make another visit to the pet peeves thread... then again, isn't it supposed to be lots of different peoples' pet peevees, not my personal grumpy old woman zone! Cheers

Hi all, it's been a while... I joined a couple of other groups that have just inundated me with alerts, and I have been playing the ostrich and burying my head ignoring all of them every time I log in. Must try harder! Hope little 'un is over the chicken pox now. My niece has just had it too. Shame they're so far away or I'd have taken madam round for a pox party.
Thanks you, wee man is fine now. Was a bit teary when I picked him up from pre-school today. Liked it so much he didn't want to leave. How are you.
Cheers

MTM, cool that he likes pre-school!Jenn, I'm on minimal computer time, maximum tiredness and zero writing time which is rubbish.
