I always post my reviews to goodreads, but I don't use goodread's blog.

I don't know much about all the teccy stuff, but my son told me it would be best to have my blog hosted on a blogging tool site - and then feed that into everything else.
So I have a blog on Blogger.com which is part of Google where I post everyday. You can link all the blog address/feeds to all the places where you are trying to get seen such as your website, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter and Goodreads of course!
The blog shows up automatically, usually within minutes in all these locations. It's great as it means I can just concentrate on the post content and not on the sending.
I was really impressed with Blogger as it gives you easy templates to use to determine the layout and style of your Blog. You can add photos and video clips to it and as well as hyperlinks.
It also provides totally addictive daily/weekly and monthly stats for numbers of visitors, where in the world they are, which pages they have viewed.
You can see mine at http://emmacalin.blogspot.com
Good luck with whichever way you decide to go and happy blogging
Emma

I would appreciate someone telling me how to get my blog on Amazon and Facebook.

I also use a site called Twitterfeed and this lets me put in my Facebook and Twitter home addresses and automatically feeds the blog to them each time I post it. (It probably lets you do others too but that is as far as I have got)
Hope that helps.
Emma

You can also SELL your blog on Amazon - people pay to receive it daily on a monthly basis (no-one has bought mine though!) - they pay about £10 a month I think.
Cheers
Emma

This is not possible. The picture needs to be hosted elsewhere.

If you don't want an account and just want to get the HTML code to set up images every now and again, you could use a site where you don't have to create a login. I used to use this one before I signed up with photobucket: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/

Hi Kimberley, I am looking for reviews of my romance 'Knockout!' and I noticed from your blog that you do consider other genre in addition to historical fiction. If you have the time to add another to your list I will be very happy to gift you a copy for your kindle and also will provide 3 free e-copies for a giveaway to your readers as I notice you do regular giveaways.
Blurb:
Interpol cop, Anna Leyton, spirals down into a hopeless vortex of sexual and emotional passion as she fights to keep her professional cool. Who is deceiving who in this fast moving ride across continents? What motivates her art loving prize-bull of a lover Freddie La Salle? The power of love and trust stands against greed and crime as conflicting forces grapple for that knockout punch.
Let me know if you are interested.
Best wishes with for the new school year!

Knockout! A Passionate Police Romance

For hosting pictures I use Shaw, my Internet Service Provider in Canada, that allows clients to host their own web pages.
Check your ISP and see if they offer personal web space or personal web hosting with ftp access. You can get free ftp software, so the cost is still zero.
I use ftp to upload a picture to my personal web page, then link that image to another web site when required.
Here is an example of linking from my Shaw web site to here:

Amazon has many links to describe each click step - print the directions then just press the buttons.

Which was supposed to be the support to the book (FINALLY published this June). Wile it was handy for the WIP as I received many messages anout women's tortured relationship with the Latino, it is now not serving me as eith author or book blog as the readers are engrossed in their relationship problems not so interested in books.
Now I have to start over with an author blog - fyi make sure your blog is market directed.
I have a new blog at
http://www.backyardguides.com
which will direct the new tour guides and cookbooks that Im working on - I published a tourism newspaper here for 2 years
Still got to get the author blog going but its got to be very directional not just self.
The blog at litchickshow.com seems brilliant - the future is people hosting their own tv via blogs

It's a bug related to recent site upgrades. Hopefully we'll get it sorted out soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm new to this too. I started a blog on Goodreads yesterday and don't have one elsewhere. Good luck with yours.

My latest blog post (on Wordpress) did not update to Goodreads either. I sent an email to Goodreads but as yet haven't received an answer. Hope Goodreads can get this worked out!

Where does the "4 views" come from? What are people clicking on to make the view number increase?
Where is the search option in goodreads website to search authors blogs on goodreads?
What is the purpose of the tag words?

Where is this located in the goodreads website?

Yes. I believe that's actually part of the problem, as that's a lot of posts to import at once.

Ah-ha. Thanks for the response.

Some cable companies offer subscribers the ability to have their own web site. See if your cable/Internet provider offers personal web sites for subscribers. If so, read about how to do it and how to upload images. Then create your personal web site and upload your image(s) to it.
You can then link your pictures on your web site to goodreads or anywhere else that doesn't allow direct uploading.

many thanks,

Jaq - I would love some help/tips about getting my wordpress blog to post to Goodreads - for the life of me, I can't seem to find out how, the correct code.

I started a blog on my goodreads author page, but am pretty clueless when it comes to html stuff. Anyone know how to upload an image from your computer to your Goodreads blog? Some direction (in layman's terms) would be very useful. Thanks.
Stefan.
