Ann A (readerann) Day 6 Report

In the middle of Special Topics in Calamity Physics, The Crying Tree, The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Eden Express

Page count for the day: 225
Running total: 1413

Only one more day (actually 22 hours)! Darn - that means I'll have to stop using reading as an excuse for neglecting my To-Do list! Well, I'll make this last day count. Hopefully, I'll finish two more books by tomorrow.

Nadine | 252 comments @ Zina: How are you enjoying The Passage? It really got me hooked, but it gets betterwhen the second part starts. Set about 80 years later than the first bit or so. (Don't wanna say more as I don't wanna spoil it.)

message 159: by Roseann (new)

Roseann | 185 comments Well, not that good a week for me. I think these week-long read-a-thons actually slow me down as I do better when I only have a 24-hour window to work with. My reads for this week:

1. The House of Tomorrow (304 pgs)
2. Dark Delicacies: Original Tales of Terror and the Macabre by the World's Greatest Horror Writers (339 pgs.)
3. Yeah, I Said It (256 pgs.)

Amy My mother just had hip replacement surgery, so between trips to the hospital and then the rehabilitation center, I didn't read half as much as I would have liked. I'm going to keep going until my library reopens on Tuesday, so maybe I can finish the 5 books I have begun. :-(

message 163: by Ann A (new)

Ann A (readerann) Great job, everyone! I'll summarize on the other thread.

I am enjoying it...its my kind of book I find I need chunks of uninterrupted time of 3+ hours to read it and really stay connected with the story....

message 165: by Nadine (new)

Nadine | 252 comments @ Zina: I was lucky to start it between Christmas and New Year when I had some days off and I could let the story really devour me. How far into it are you?

message 166: by Rosina (new)

Great read, sorta like if Jimmy Stewart was pregnant and stuck at home during Rear Window ;).
