Exactly. There are only three roller coasters, but there is Hogsmeade. Which contains Diagon Alley stores, but oh well. It's there, is the important part. My only problem is that I believe seeing Hogwarts requires a roller coaster ride.

From what I know, it's one of those "4-D" rides. Where it's all video and you're on a super tricked out ski lift thing.Yeah... Strange explanation, I know. But it's like the Soarin' Over California ride at Disneyland's California Adventure park, if you've ever been there.
i go to Claifornia Advernture almost everyear! I love rollercoasters =^w^= Imagine if they had a rollercoaster at hogwarts in the books.
That would be very weird. No I haven't been to California Adventure, but I think I get what you mean.
It's super neat so long as you don't have any issues with motion sickness... You don't really move too terribly much but the point is to make you feel like you are.
Mmmmm.... Huh. Well... The one I've been on, your feet are dangling... And it simulates you flying over stuff, when in reality you're only a few feet off the ground.
I don't know what a simulation of heights would do. I know my mom had a problem with a grand canyon imax, but I've never done anything like it. I can do chairlifts if the mountain's not too high, so it might be fine.....If I ever go there, I'll either take a risk and find out, or I won't. ;)
Hahahah, I hate roller coasters. We went to Cedar Point on an end of the year trip for band and I refused to go on most of them. I only rode the wooden ones- which are probably less safe than the metal. :P
Our band, orchestra, and chorus go to Six Flags, as does the physics class. The 9th grade doesn't go for band and orchestra, so I don't have to worry about next year, but I plan to sit, eat, and go on the little kid rides. And for physics I'll probably do the alternate assignment.
Seriously. I rode Gemini because my friends made me, but I basically just stood there the entire time and watched everyone go on the rides and the coasters go around.
I want to go every where! France, Italy, the other side of the US (lol), Indonesia, Egypt, Brazil, Peru, Hawaii, Iceland, Greenland, you get the point!

awesome!!!!!! That looks like so much fun!
awesome!!!!!! That looks like so much fun!
Ooooo Indonesia sounds like fun!
There is a chance for my family to go to Bermuda!I really hope it happens. I really, really, think it would be fun.
Oh my gosh! Y'll are so lucky!
China, Japan, Russia, India, and Europe (especially Germany, Scotland, Italy, France, Norway, and Greece)
I was just thinking, is anyone planning any exciting trips soon that they'd like to share?I'll share mine: I'm spending a weekend in Las Vegas soon for my cousin's 21st birthday, and another weekend there later in the summer for my baby cousin's baptism.
Also later this summer, I've got a weekend in Los Angeles, CA and a week in New Mexico planned.
That sounds like so much fun Taylor :)
Later this year (October) my family are going up to Queensland for two weeks, and we're staying in a luxury resort in Palm Cove. We'll probably visit The Great Barrier Reef while we're there :D

I'm hoping it all will be. :)Oooooooh, the Great Barrier Reef! That's been on my list of Things I Must See for AGES. That'll be wonderous!
A 21st birthday and a baptism. Two very different reasons to go to Las Vegas. And I too would love to see the Great Barrier Reef. It sounds amazing.
I know that this is off-topic, but Jess and other Australians, New Zealanders, etc. do you believe you live in Australia (the continent) or Oceania?
I only want to go to Ireland because I am mostly Irish. Other than that, no where. I hate traveling. :D
Really? I want to go to as many places as I can. Well, not really, but I want to travel Europe and Australia. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Canada either.
I love traveling. Almost everywhere. And Ireland is pretty awesome. I went there last summer and loved it.
I want to go all over. I'd made a list last year, which I just found and now I don't remember where I put it... But it had places in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. And it was just the ones I REALLY want to see. ;)
I would have a problem going to Africa, especially as a vacation. Knowing that I am enjoying views and relaxing while there are certain things (not going into detail here) happening 100 miles away would make me few like the worst person on Earth. That may only apply to me though.

"Having been to Africa, I absolutely agree. For me, it's the issue of us having so much and them having nothing. It's hard to reconcile.
Vacation-wise, I think I'm heading back up to Oregon for a few weeks over the summer. My grandparents and cousins live in a little tiny town and it's gorgeous up there. And I would love to go to Europe someday.

I understand exactly what you mean, but I think that this article has a very interesting contrary view.
I also feel compelled to point out that we tend to think of Africa as one unit, when it is, in fact, many countries. Would you not go to England because there is a revolution going on in Germany, or people are starving in the countryside? If it's a matter of poverty, there are plenty of people all over the world, including in the US, in just as extreme poverty as anyone in Africa, and if it's because of violence, that violence is not everywhere in Africa.
Anyway, just giving my opinion. (Having never gone to Africa, of course, so it's probably not a very fair one)
I think I could see the same issue with going to Mexico or something. Staying in a rich retreat while outside the walls people are suffering and living in extreme poverty.
But then, Kate is right when she says that you'll find violence and poverty everywhere. There just may be more of it in certain places. Or maybe it is just more of an obvious contrast in the continents of South America or Africa.
It is a hard question.
Well I am definately glad that I am staying in the country, because after THAT conversation, it would be hard to enjoy a vacation in certain countries. I am going to a lake (in West Virginia, you know like the most unexpected place in the States to find big, pretty lakes. But they are there and very pretty!) then there's 2 summer camps, but they're just an hour from my house sooo....nothing really super-exciting.
Hey now! It's not unexpected at all to find pretty lakes and such here! I'm a West Virginian and love it here. :) What lake? (If you don't mind my asking.)
i want to go to Paris France. Because of the beautiful places there. I want also to shop in a known shopping boutiques.
Sharmaine, Paris is magnificent.
I was there for 9 days late last year, and trust me, you wont find time to shop...

Gosh, I can't WAIT to visit Paris. Almost everyone I know who's been said it's their favorite city in the world.

I have no idea.....um....summersville? Maybe? I only know that it starts with a 's'

Wait! I remember now. Sutton lake! :)
The only bad part is that it's a 5&1/2 hour drive, plus to get there from my house you travel on toll roads. :( but other than that, very awesome. Never seen the Ohio river, but it can't be much worse than the Yadkin...ugh!
