Oh yes Kathy a movie! That would be or COULD be great! I chose this book for a vacation, picked it form the library totally based on the cover-SHOES with cherries on them, how fun! and the author's name, as I was going on a cruise...silly? For Sure!
Loved it so much! just a light fun read, anyone with a few extra pounds here and there, and who appreciates what a great pair of shoes will do for you mood will totally understand Minerva! Did I spell that right, been about 4 years...yet I saw these posts and had to reply after so long!
Kathy! Call that Mike and Molly girl! we gotta get this movie made!
lol

Jill I really enjoyed this book.

Angie Elle I must admit, prior to reading this book, I had never had chicken marsala. After reading it, I did try my hand at making it.

It turns out that while I am definitely a 'Bet Me' fan, chicken marsala is not my thing!

Janeiowa Bet Me was ok, but I continue to much prefer her first two...and her latest ones leave me cold. I wish she'd get back to what she had with these two:
Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie Manhunting by Jennifer Crusie

Dianne Have any of you tried Agnes and the Hitman yet?

I haven't, but a friend of mine did give it rave reviews!

It really was one of the best collaborationist I have ever read. I hope some of you try it. I'd love to also discuss this book!

I've tried to find out when Ms Cruise will be publishing something new and I can't find too much info. Does anyone have a clue?

Yes, I've owned Agnes and the Hitman for years and it's a fairly good one, I think.

I think the last JCruisie ones I've seen get into the paranormal area and that's not for me. In looking at her website, it appears a collection of short stories is coming out soon Crazy People.
Previously titled, Just Wanted You To Know and Other Stories

Otherwise her last book listed at her website was Aug. 2010.

Cammie My first Crusie was "Trust Me On This", the Loveswept edition. I read everything she writes, including her blog, and she is my favorite writer ever. "Bet Me" is my favorite book, period. I have talked at least 4 people into buying it at various book sellers, and have 3 copies myself (hardback, paperback and audio). Min and Cal are just so much fun; I love to spend time with them. Y'all who are just discovering Jennifer Crusie are lucky--you have all those books to experience for the first time. Me, I wait for each new release like my life is just beginning (no pressure, Jenny, HONEST).

If you are interested in finding out about what Jennifer Crusie is up to, her blog is Argh Ink http://www.arghink.com/ She had gotten all wadded up about several new books and an insane schedule, but she seems to be pulling out of it now. I just tell myself I am grateful she isn't one of those 4-5 books-a-year-so-that-every-new-book-seems-same-as-the-last-one writers. This means that fans have to wait for the next dose of Crusie Love/Laughter.

Diane Saxon I love Jennifer Crusie books. This one is excellent. Great sense of humour. I also thoroughly enjoy her writing partnership with Bob Mayer.

Janeiowa I loved her early books -- Getting Rid of Bradley, Manhunting, Fast Women, etc., but somewhere along the line her writing seemed to get tangled up in ghosts and whatever and she lost me.

Wild Ride, Trust Me on This, Maybe Next Time all turned me off big time. I went from awaiting eagerly her next offering, to not so much.

Joanne Love and Humor are great ingredients in a book...
